At the head of the bay the land seems very well adapted for a settlement. Besides there is very good cdd fishing in these parts. There are also three other fine harbours, ten or twelve leagues lower down, namely, PercSe Island, Bonaventure and Miscou, from all of which harbours ships go to fish for cod every year It would be a good place for a settlement, on the score of facility of communication with Quebec, access to which in small vessels is easy.
