Book Synopsis Fountain of Christianity by : Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
Download or read book Fountain of Christianity written by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and published by Islam International. This book was released on 2008 with total page 89 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Promised Messiah(as) wrote Fountain of Christianity in March 1906, in response to the book Yansbi-ul-Islam, in which a Christian gentleman has tried to prove that the Holy Quran does not contain any new teachings and that the Holy Prophet(sa) merely copied the narratives from past scriptures-God forbid. The Promised Messiah(as) responded to this objection, first, by raising serious doubts about the authenticity of the Christian Gospels, and then went on to show how the Holy Quran is a unique and peerless book, how so many of its prophecies have been fulfilled, and how its blessings live on to this day. In this small book, the author also argues against the doctrines of Trinity and Atonement held by present-day Christians, and shows that these beliefs have nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus(as) himself. The second part of the book, or Epilogue, consists of a profound thesis on the meaning of true salvation. The Promised Messiah(as) describes salvation as "The abiding peace and happiness which man, by his very nature, hungers and thirsts for,and which is achieved through personal love and recognition of God, and through a perfect relationship with Him."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, A Fountain Of Truth, is a result of my personal need for a book that would tell me the answer to many questions about who God is, what He is all about, what He has done, how old He is, what does He look like, what language does He speak, what are His goals, how and when will He accomplish these goals, where did I come from, where am I going, and what does He want from me? All these questions and many more are answered by the great "I Am", Himself. All this information is given, not only in written word, but also in hundreds of easy to understand illustrations from His created, natural, things. It is also given in the personal accounts of many historic role models. When I found the answers to all of these questions, then I realized that I had actually found the Fountain Of Truth. My restless spirit was satisfied and contented. I am no longer restless and searching for the answers to the questions that had caused me to feel insecure and alone. A great peace has settled over me like a great comforting blanket directly from the great God of the Bible. I believe God offers everyone a "God Blankie". The search is now over for me. I am now basking in the wonderful glow of truth. I believe the search can be over for everyone. The great security blanket is available to anyone who will read and believe God's answer book. The Bible is the absolute "Fountain Of Truth. Ten million thanks to Cate Velasquez for the labor of love in typing this on computer and saving to disc. Thanks Cate, you're the greatest. -Bud

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dear friends, my heart's desire and prayer to God for you is that you may be saved. O that I knew how to engage this whole town to Jesus Christ, and make fast the marriage-knot betwixt him and you, albeit after that I should presently go to the place of silence; and see men no more, with the inhabitants of the world. Ah sirs! me thinks I see the Lord Jesus laying the merciful hand of a holy violence upon you: methinks he calls to you, as the angel to Lot saying, ""Arise, lest ye be consumed; And ""while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, the Lord being merciful unto him. And they brought him without the city, and said, Escape for thy life, stay not in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed,"" Gen. 19: 15. How often (to allude to this) has Jesus Christ in like manner laid hold upon you in the preaching of the gospel, and will you not flee for refuge to him? Will you rather be consumed, than to endeavour an escape?

Book Synopsis Fountain of Salvation by : Fred Sanders

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A trinitarian exposition of Christian soteriology The relation of God and salvation is not primarily a problem to be solved. Rather, it is the blazing core of Christian doctrine, where the triune nature of God and the truth of the gospel come together. Accordingly, a healthy Christian theology must confess the doctrine of the Trinity and the doctrine of salvation as closely related, mutually illuminating, and strictly ordered. When the two doctrines are left unconnected, both suffer. The doctrine of the Trinity begins to seem altogether irrelevant to salvation history and Christian experience, while soteriology meanwhile becomes naturalized, losing its transcendent reference. If they are connected too tightly, on the other hand, human salvation seems inherent to the divine reality itself. Deftly navigating this tension, Fountain of Salvation relates them by expounding the doctrine of eternal processions and temporal missions, ultimately showing how they inherently belong together. The theological vision expounded here by Fred Sanders is one in which the holy Trinity is the source of salvation in a direct and personal way, as the Father sends the Son and the Holy Spirit to enact an economy of revelation and redemption. Individual chapters show how this vision informs the doctrines of atonement, ecclesiology, Christology, and pneumatology—all while directly engaging with major modern interpreters of the doctrine of the Trinity. As Sanders affirms throughout this in-depth theological treatise, the triune God is the fountain from which all other doctrine flows—and no understanding of salvation is complete that does not begin there.

Book excerpt: Theologian John Flavel was a 15th century Puritan living in England. He was a prolific writer, and produced at least 10 major works. Fountain of Life is a collection of 42 of his sermons, most of which focus on the life, work, and importance of Christ. Flavel's writing is often grandiose, giving his words a sense of great importance. He follows the typical Puritan style of prose, so his sermons will surely take a lot of thought on the part of the reader, but they ultimately exhibit a mastery of the subject of Christ and will be useful for those looking for deep theology on the subject.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CHAPTER 1 In the very first chapter a discussion is opened and titled: open the eyes of my heart Lord. This sets up the main running theme of the book that Gods guidance, direction and path be every believers aim and focus. God is shown as the final arbiter in all of mans affairs. We are encouraged to seek the revealed truth in our lives. Our prayer and wish should be that God directs all our ways. The story of the prophet Elisha under attack is used to illustrate Gods providence for his children. Because Elishas spiritual eyes are open, he is not filled with fear and panic in light of his enemies but is reassured of Gods protective shield over his life. God surrounds his children with his love. God is a warrior and fights our battles. CHAPTER 2 Nothing is too hard for the Lord. Sarah and Abraham had been married for a long time and had no children. They even tried to help God in this regard but their attempt was remiss. Our faith in God helps us to get results that are otherwise impossible. Sarah was rich, had a large household, servants, and animals and all but lacked one thing, a son she could call her own. This became a source of misery and ridicule for her. As rich as she was, when people looked at her they just remembered her shortcoming and constantly reminded her about it. Her faith gave birth to strength and power. Through the faithfulness of God and her practicing faith principles she bore a son when all hope was lost. Read her story to build your faith and see your trust in God soar. CHAPTER 3 The book of James admonishes Christians to be glad when they face tough testing situations. This results in patience, a requisite believers virtue. Temptations and trials may leave us broken, dejected and discouraged. We may be broken but not valueless, because God sees value in us however our status; as he is in the business of transforming our lives. God is able to spring to life and quicken our spirit even after adverse experiences. The life of Paul the apostle is used to illustrate that we can endure all sorts of persecution to remain in focus, on the right path and remain resolute in our faith. Like a diamond we can withstand pressure in order to let our light shine through. CHAPTER 4 God is powerful far beyond our imagination or comprehension; there is no limit to what He can do. Its only when we come to Him that we can reach our fullest potential. God also possess all wisdom. This is why it is not prudent to put ones trust in the help of man. Gods wisdom does not fail. The story of Noah teaches us that through Gods wisdom he, an unlearned and unqualified engineer; built, maintained, sailed and saved humanity and all animals all at once. Can you begin to marvel at the plumbing and ablution feat this must have been! Everything we are capable of counts for nothing if the source is not God. He has the power to change the times and the seasons of our lives. He can change your time of mourning into a time of joy. God is all-powerful; everything on earth is under His control. CHAPTER 5 Sometimes the troubles and tribulations that follow us cant seem to have an end. They leave us feeling forsaken. We may remove our eyes from God and focus on them. An account of how the children of Israel were faced with their enemy on countless occasions but finally prevailed is given. Gods leading through Moses and Aaron is expounded. Against Pharaoh they had an indomitable, ferocious, stubborn adversary. Time after time even after relenting, he would be oppressively behind the children of Israel. I show in this account that no matter how many our enemies, no matter how well armed, no matter our humble unprotected lowly position, God fights our battles for us. We know we can prevail through him. CHAPTER 6 The book of Ezra depicts a picture of a people who were heavily discouraged. It speaks of people who were told they would never finish what God had commissioned them to do. Zerubbabel is the leader at th
