Book excerpt: General theorem providing a mathematical basis for a grand Unified Field Theory (GUT) is presented. The proof of the theorem is shown to be a recent work entitled 'Generalised Mathematical Proof of Einstein's Theory Using a New Group Theory', which has been reviewed by the American Mathematical Society. This work provides generic solutions to the unified field, from which both the Newtonian and Einsteinian gravitational fields seem to be recoverable. Furthermore, the electromagnetic field seems to be recoverable also from these solutions. Since the investigation does not assume the existence of particles a priori, matter could therefore be interpreted as high field intensity. Therefore, nuclear force fields (strong and weak) seem to be included. The solution seems to mathematically represent the modification of space-time predicted by Einstein's general relativity theory.

Book excerpt: Despite the rapidly expanding ambit of physical research and the continual appearance of new branches of physics, the main thrust in its development was and is the attempt at a theoretical synthesis of the entire body of physical knowledge. The main triumphs in physical science were, as a rule, associ ated with the various phases of this synthesis. The most radical expression of this tendency is the program of construction of a unified physical theory. After Maxwellian electrodynamics had unified the phenomena of electricity, magnetism, and optics in a single theoretical scheme on the basis of the con cept of the electromagnetic field, the hope arose that the field concept would become the precise foundation of a new unified theory of the physical world. The limitations of an electromagnetic-field conception of physics, however, already had become clear in the first decade of the 20th century. The concept of a classical field was developed significantly in the general theory of relativity, which arose in the elaboration of a relativistic theory of gravitation. It was found that the gravitational field possesses, in addition to the properties inherent in the electromagnetic field, the important feature that it expresses the metric structure of the space-time continuum. This resulted in the following generalization of the program of a field synthesis of physics: The unified field representing gravitation and electromagnetism must also describe the geometry of space-time.

Book excerpt: Unified Field Theory was an expression first used by Einstein in his attempt to unify general relativity with electromagnetism. Unified Field Theory and Occam's Razor attempts to provide real answers to foundational questions related to this unification and should be of high interest to innovative scientists. A diverse group of contributing authors approach an old problem with an open-mindedness that presents a new and fresh perspective. The following topics are discussed in detail in the hope of a fruitful dialogue with all who are interested in this subject:This highly original book brings together theoretical researchers and experimentalists specialized in the areas of mathematics and epistemology, theoretical and experimental physics, engineering, and technology. For years they have worked independently on topics related to the foundations and unity of physics and have had numerous overlapping ideas in terms of using Clifford algebra and spinors. Within the book, new technology applications are outlined and theoretical results are complemented by interpretations of experimental data.

Book excerpt: General theorem providing a mathematical basis for a Grand Unified Field Theory or a Theory of Everything (TOE) is presented. The Grand Unified Theorem produces a set of unified field equations from which Yang-Mills equations, other physical equations, and in general, mathematical equations, which have ever been known to human beings, can be recovered. The solution seems to mathematically represent the modification of space-time structure predicted by Einstein's general relativity theory. A good part of the material presented in this work has been reviewed by the American Mathematical Society and the European Mathematical Society in the Zentralblatt fur Mathematik.

Attempts at combining them have been made since the 1920's with no success. Albert Einstein spent much of his later years searching for the key to unification. He never fully accepted quantum theory and maintained it was incomplete. Einstein showed that gravitation is the curving of spacetime, not an attractive force between masses. Evans has showed that electromagnetism is the spinning of spacetime. Using Cartan differential geometry, Evans describes Einstein's gravitation and quantum electromagnetics in the same equations. This book describes the basics of special relativity, quantum mechanics, general relativity, and the geometry used to describe them.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first successful field theory was created by the Scottish Physicist James Clerk Maxwell in the mid -19th century - the electromagnetic field theory. Then in the early 1900s, Einstein spent 30yrs of his life developing a unified field theory but all in vain. One limitation with Einstein's work was at first his rejection, and then his ignorance of quantum theory.Einstein was motivated by an intellectual need to unify the forces of nature. He felt very strongly that all of nature must be described by a simple force field theory from which all other forces can be deduced. In principle, if one had the formula of a Unified field theory at hand, it would be possible to derive every other natural law from them, including all the laws of physics, chemistry, even molecular biology.Without the use of the mathematics of the standard model and the notions of Einstein's general relativity theory, we postulate a single force field equation from which all other physics laws are derived.

Book excerpt: In this book, a new gravitational theory is being suggested to replace general relativity. The theory is objective and predicts low-scale GPS gravitational time dilation, perihelion precession disparity, gravitational light bending, artificial faster-than-light motion, up to the rotation curve for all galaxies, natural faster-than-light universe expansion, and can even explain the black holes! In practical terms, this means the following: We can achieve infinite speed. We can also easily time travel into the future. It follows levitation, also derived from the theory. You will also find many reasons why general relativity is wrong and how to verify this experimentally!

Book excerpt: Despite the rapidly expanding ambit of physical research and the continual appearance of new branches of physics, the main thrust in its development has been the attempt at a theoretical synthesis of the entire body of physical knowledge. Vladimir Vizgin's work presents perhaps the first systematic historico-scientific study of the formation and development of the unified field theories in the general context of 20th century physics. Concentrating on the first three decades of the century and drawing extensively on Russian sources, the author analyses the first successes, failures and paths of further development of the unified field theories. He presents the evolution of these theories as a process of interaction/competition between the geometric field and quantum research programs, and ascertains the relevance of these theories for fundamental concepts in modern field theory.

Book excerpt: Abstract: UNIFIED FIELD THEORY: The Fundamentals and Basics A single unity combines all known science theories concerning life, mass, matter and energy. Light energy occurs solely in cubed dimension. Electronic energy occurs only as a quadratic system. Every field operation such as a square, triangle, geometric surface, curve, vector, electronic circuit, equation, mirror surface, cube, sphere, time element, thermo-gravity temperature unit or gravity circuit occurs as a quadratic system. Fusion energy may be measured. The envelope sphere may be proven separately of the machine circle. Natural phenomenon may be explained with the utility of a single formula: for instance, the universe evolves through the infinite chain minerals and gases separately and simultaneously and operates and maintains itself without change to unity. Every unified field operation performed through the infinite chain beginning with the formation of dust and nebula and culminating in the completion of the element table such as sun and earth remains predictable and changeless over time. The Earth stores the complete element table. Light energy divides dark space at the first division of light to create the integral forces of gravity and time. The infinite chain evolves the sun and earth at the end of the relative cycle. Quadratic systems bear integral square roots; so that, the correct square root of light naturally measures all electronic circuits inclusive of polar gravity circuits. Light travels at relative speeds in the closed field at the first division and travels at a constant 186001.2mps in the closed field at the lower elastic limit of the electromagnetic spectrum. The formula: [d x √le = 8.25) = A1 = A2] codes and encodes the quadrature of the closed field, and d = 5280 for light energy. Light energy forms the centerline and works off the real line. The real line of ten numbers and the relative zones code the way in which the matrix forms patterns in endless cycles. Though the formula neither proves nor disproves the existence of an a priori intelligence that created them, the patterns and, invisible abstracts such as the infinite chain are not editable. The evolution of matter and the operation and maintenance of the universe and life may be proven. Once this newly discovered formula is proven correct, it may be used with confidence, and scientific experiments may be designed to test the formula. Byron R. Bowen

The study may also be considered as a "MODERN ERA PRINCIPIA" since it was started to be written in about 300 years (early 2007) after the publication of the great study of Newton named "PRINCIPIA" (1703-1707) on the topic of gravity theories. The volume includes SEVEN CHAPTERS in the form of SEVEN different articles which follow each other and make clear the subject when they are read consecutively. In addition, FOUR additional chapters in the form of APPENDIXES in nature of FUNDAMENTALS OF MATHEMATICS were also included at the end of the volume for readers who have a less degree of technical knowledge about the topic... Book excerpt: Group Theoretical Methods in Physics: Proceedings of the Fifth International Colloquium provides information pertinent to the fundamental aspects of group theoretical methods in physics. This book provides a variety of topics, including nuclear collective motion, complex Riemannian geometry, quantum mechanics, and relativistic symmetry. Organized into six parts encompassing 64 chapters, this book begins with an overview of the theories of nuclear quadrupole dynamics. This text then examines the conventional approach in the determination of superstructures. Other chapters consider the Hamiltonian formalism and how it is applied to the KdV equation and to a slight variant of the KdV equation. This book discusses as well the significant differential equations of mathematical physics that are integrable Hamiltonian systems, including the equations governing self-induced transparency and the motion of particles under an inverse square potential. The final chapter deals with the decomposition of the tensor product of two irreducible representations of the symmetric group into a direct sum of irreducible representations. This book is a valuable resource for physicists.
