Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Healing Hands is a part of my life story how I was able to overcome the challenges that I've faced as child and up into adulthood. Growth is a natural process of life but if the foundation is not set right, your growth can be impaired. Parental separation; family disintegration; verbal, mental, and physical abuse; sexual molestation; abandonment; hunger; false accusations; feeling rejected; low self-esteem; depression; marital problems; betrayal; anger; bitterness; and resentment, but yet, desperation for change drove me into the arms of God's loving embrace where I found a sense of meaning, purpose for living, healing, and the ability to forgive by exchanging my will for God's will for my life. Our gifts, talents, and abilities do not always come wrapped in pretty packages but sometimes hidden and then revealed through the seemingly harsh experiences of life. Like Joseph in the Bible, you may suffer at the hands of your own family members and experience some very dark times of your life or by the heavy hands of cruel taskmasters who would want to whip you into subjection or by a Potiphar's wife who would try to rip your robe of righteousness off of you because of their own ignorance of who they are, who and whose you are, and of the will and plans of God for your life. But they can only give to you what they possess and that is their pain. It is written in Romans 8:20 (KJV), "And we know, that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose." There is purpose in your pain. There is testimony and message in your test and mess. There is a crown for your cross and there is compassion for the poor and sick soul. My prayer is that you will experience a sense of peace and healing as you read Healing Hands.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quest for Eternal Sunshine chronicles the triumphant, true story of Mendek Rubin, a brilliant inventor who overcame both the trauma of the Holocaust and decades of unrelenting depression to live a life of deep peace and boundless joy. Born into a Hassidic Jewish family in Poland in 1924, Mendek grew up surrounded by extreme anti-Semitism. Armed with an ingenious mind, he survived three horrific years in Nazi slave-labor concentration camps while virtually his entire family was murdered in Auschwitz. After arriving in America in 1946—despite having no money or professional skills—his inventions helped revolutionize both the jewelry and packaged-salad industries. Remarkably, Mendek also applied his ingenuity to his own psyche, developing innovative ways to heal his heart and end his emotional suffering. After Mendek died in 2012, his daughter, Myra Goodman, found an unfinished manuscript in which he’d revealed the intimate details of his healing journey. Quest for Eternal Sunshine—the extraordinary result of a posthumous father-daughter collaboration—tells Mendek’s whole story and is filled with eye-opening revelations, effective self-healing techniques, and profound wisdom that have the power to transform the way we live our lives. An inspirational biography of a Holocaust survivor overcoming depression and PTSD. An essential new addition to Jewish Holocaust history.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Archangel Michael taught interactive healing to author Rekha Vidyarthi; through this technique, she has assisted the healing process in people for sixteen years. Michael said to her "You need to heal yourself in order to heal others." Written with Jesus's guidance, Healing Hands of Jesus illustrates how you can choose to change the karmic things and past lives that are happening right now. Angels heal many lives at once by healing one personality and integrating one fragment at a time into the higher self, shortening the incarnation of a troubled past and present. Every experience in life is created by unconscious thoughts. Your outer situation triggers your innermost emotions and feelings. The mind requires answers in order to change one's perspective. Because most answers lie either in childhood or in a past life, it is necessary to look within. The angels trigger our memories to identify the connection, which is when healing begins. Such things as parental imprinting, family karma, ego, anger, fear, guilt, sadness, depression, or learned behavior perpetuate from one life to the next. These issues repeat themselves through many lives until we learn how to heal the issues. Healing Hands of Jesus explains that we must ask forgiveness for the negative things that are happening to us now in order to heal ourselves.

Book excerpt: This journey to the beginnings of the physician's art brings to life the civilizations of the ancient world--Egypt of the Pharaohs, Greece at the time of Hippocrates, Rome under the Caesars, the India of Ashoka, and China as Mencius knew it. Probing the documents and artifacts of the ancient world with a scientist's mind and a detective's eye, Guido Majno pieces together the difficulties people faced in the effort to survive their injuries, as well as the odd, chilling, or inspiring ways in which they rose to the challenge. In asking whether the early healers might have benefited their patients, or only hastened their trip to the grave, Dr. Majno uncovered surprising answers by testing ancient prescriptions in a modern laboratory. Illustrated with hundreds of photographs, many in full color, and climaxing ten years of work, The Healing Hand is a spectacular recreation of man's attempts to conquer pain and disease.
