Book Synopsis Darden Family History, with Notes on Ancestry of Allied Families: Washington, Lanier, Burch, Strozier, Dodson, Pyles, McNair, Barnett by : Newton Jasper Darden
Download or read book Darden Family History, with Notes on Ancestry of Allied Families: Washington, Lanier, Burch, Strozier, Dodson, Pyles, McNair, Barnett written by Newton Jasper Darden and published by . This book was released on 1957 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This family history is written primarily to record the ancestry of the children of Samuel Conazine Darden (1840-1927) of Union County, Mississippi. This is given in part one for the direct Darden line (A), and in part two the collateral Darden branch lines (B to J) are given in order to interrelate almost all Darden descendants of George Dearden (ca. 1705-ca. 1748) and his wife Anne of Brunswick County, Virginia. It is believe that all Virginia and Maryland Durdens before 1700 probably belonged to the same emigrant family. Darden is a fairly common name in the United States of America. It is derived from the Welsh "Dearden" or the English "Durden." These names were brought to America by emigrants from Great Britain
Book Synopsis One Hundred and Sixty Allied Families by : John Osborne Austin
Download or read book One Hundred and Sixty Allied Families written by John Osborne Austin and published by Genealogical Publishing Com. This book was released on 2009-06 with total page 318 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work is an exhaustive study of 160 families. For each family covered, a skeletal genealogy is given, showing births, marriages, and deaths in successive generations of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. This is then followed by a narrative detailing the known facts about each person and family according to existing records. The narratives commence with the first member of the family to come to New England, identifying his place of origin and occupation, the date and place of his arrival in New England, and his residence--all information that was accumulated from the author's extensive research in wills, inventories, deeds, land records, and church records. The narratives then turn to the children of the original settler, treating them in like manner, and to their children, and so on until the genealogy is fully developed.
