Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Divided States of America is a political book that goes deeper than most have dared to go. It digs right into the very meaning of being an American. It dissects what it is that is ailing American politics today, and what it is going to take to fix it. There are so many issues in the United States that people are refusing to talk about and The Divided States of America takes them head on. While approaching the issues Americans face with realism, there is room to be optimistic. The partisan war that is threatening to tear America apart can be stopped. There are far too many "obvious" American truths that have been forgotten, and The Divided States of America is a much-needed refresher. The American people need this book and they need it right now

The first is more famous, but the second was most essential because, without federalism, there could have been no United States of America. Federalism has always been about setting the balance of power between the federal government and the states-and that's revolved around deciding just how much inequality the country was prepared to accept in exchange for making piece among often-warring states. Through the course of its history, the country has moved through a series of phases, some of which put more power into the hands of the federal government, and some rested more power in the states. Sometimes this rebalancing led to armed conflict. The Civil War, of course, almost split the nation permanently apart. And sometimes it led to political battles. By the end of the 1960s, however, the country seemed to have settled into a quiet agreement that inequality was a prime national concern, that the federal government had the responsibility for addressing it through its own policies, and that the states would serve as administrative agents of that policy. But as that agreement seemed set, federalism drifted from national debate, just as the states began using their administrative role to push in very different directions. The result has been a rising tide of inequality, with the great invention that helped create the nation increasingly driving it apart"--

Book excerpt: We need a new way of thinking about ourselves. The differences that divide us are real, Dr. Land argues, but we can still find common ground. Our differences do not make it impossible to find constructive ways to discuss the role of God and religion in America's public agenda. In this insightful and timely book, Dr. Land shows the way.

Book excerpt: No one can say with any reasonable certainty when the United States of America began to fall apart. Many point to the presidential election of 2016, but most believe the breakup started long before this. Now, in the year 2110, the former United States is made up of 13 nation-states and The Wastelands. Some of the nation-states have prospered under self-rule, while others have declined. Some nation-states are very accepting of outsiders, while others trust no one...sometimes not even their fellow citizens. There is chaos in some places, and order in others...sometimes too much order.

I realized that without a moral compass, by taking out of our schools Bible reading and prayer, our country which was founded on the highest principles of morality has sunken to the deepest depravity of hell. The apathy of the religious and moral community of good Americans contributed to the take-over of the carefully designed plan by Marxists over the last one hundred years. Their plan to create racial wars, to rewrite our history, to destroy our families by demeaning men and creating a sexual revolution is almost being completed. In the nightly news, we can see the civil war they planned for us played out. We must fight back the Marxist and Socialist agenda that is challenging our American way of life which we have so long taken for granted. Only a determined audacious leader, supported by alert and united Americans can save America. We must rise up with good old fashioned American courage and patriotism. Born and raised in Maui, Hawaii. Schools attended: Baldwin High School, Maui. Emmanuel College, Franklin Springs, Georgia. East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina. Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas. Missionary work around the Pacific rim nations and Senior Pastor of Faith in Jesus Church for almost 40 years. President of the Maui Christians Ministers Association and served on the Hawaii Teen Challenge state board.

Book excerpt: A book that will awaken many memories in all readers...We have endured so much torment, so much pain, so much degradation as the African-American race and it has been time to say enough is enough! We are not going anywhere, from this land that was created for all human beings to live upon, no matter what color of skin is upon the wearer. The minds of people need to be changed in all cultures and nationalities, to accept the fact that racial equality is something now allowed by any man, but has been included in the creation of man from the beginning. We cannot continue to move forward in this world, with some over there hating a race so much that they will kill...others over here, believing that all should love their neighbor as themselves and then another group who doesn't know what to believe...This is not a race issue, it's as heart issue! What is stirred, deep down inside your soul, when you look at a person of a different race than you? What has been ingrained in your mind, maybe since birth, regarding the perception of certain races? Throughout this book, there is many stories of blatant racist occurrences, but there are a couple of instances where it is shown, that even a racist can have a change of heart. That is the intent of this book...it is my sincere hope that many readers will have a change of heart.

Book excerpt: After many years of researching, studying and learning about simple everyday life situations we go through and listening to others, I finally made it to the point where I’m able to share a more personal look inside of my life and the lives of everyday normal people. As you read, “A Part Of Me, You & Us”, you’ll see life is not always a bed of roses as some would have You to believe, but it is a blessing. As I open up and expose a part of who I really am; a part I’ve kept hidden or at least I thought it was hidden; a part of Me that now wants to speak on its own terms. I realized my blessing isn’t just for Me, it’s also for those who God has brought and will bring into my life to assist Me in their own unique way and share their own stories. You’re going to read about some of the events that have helped Us get to this point in our lives. This is a look inside the minds of a few people who are willing to share their stories with the intent of helping others who may be on similar journeys. These are stories about Me, You and things we did together. That’s how Me and You became US and how our stories came into existence. So, here’s the next step to finding out who we really are and the journeys that got Us here. I hope when You read my book it enlightens your journey. Enjoy!
