If want to trade the stock markets then you should at least know what you are getting in to. When it comes to trading the markets I have two rules. One, never ever believe anything you read, see or hear on the Internet. And Two, never ever believe anything you read, see or hear on the Internet. There are thousands of books on Day Trading and Swing Trading for sale that promise to make you a successful trader. They will not. There are thousands of different trading systems, trading strategies, and trading indicators for sale on the Internet that also claim to make you a winning trader if you buy them. They will not. There are many trading services that promise to give you winning trading signals. They will not. Now throw in the many trading platforms complete with all the fancy and colorful graphs, indicators and charts that are eager and waiting for you to place your orders so they can make a commission on every trade you make. With all these so called successful traders teaching you, how could anyone ever lose right? Yet, facts are, most day traders and swing traders lose their entire trading account within six months to one year. There is no secret indicator. There is no guaranteed winning trading system. There is no secret "code" for beating the market. These are all ILLUSIONS by the trading establishment to take your hard earned money. The author will explain details on an easy to understand personal level and open your eyes to the real world that most day and swing traders will see.

Book excerpt: The author explains why day trading is a losing proposition for 90% of the traders who try it. Surprised? The author gives a detailed explanation along with facts and testimony to verify that most day traders will lose a significant amount or all of their trading account within six months to a year. The author delves briefly into some of the emotional aspects a trader may experience that may affect them and all around them. He explains that there is a "trading establishment" promoting the illusion that day trading or stock trading in general, is an easy way that anyone can make money by trading the stock market at home on their computer. He questions why there are thousands of books on how to trade the stock market written by authors who can not guarantee anything but make a royalty fee on every book they sell. The author wrote this book to give a true perspective on what to expect when day trading or short term trading the stock market. He does not try to discourage anyone from trading, merely to know what to expect if they do decide to lose their money this way. The book explores what moves the market and why most of the books, indicators and trading systems are designed to purposefully keep you confused. He explores briefly how the Federal Reserve is responsible for every boom and bust cycle since its inception. The author writes with a little humor, and a lot of facts and analogies to make the book interesting from front cover to back cover.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Truth About Day Trading Stocks A realistic guide to day trading today's stock market In terms of the potential for heavy financial losses, day trading is a high-risk profession. No one should contemplate day trading without giving thought to the ways he can lose, and all the ways to lessen or avoid them. Yet many people enter the game with unrealistic expectations, unaware of what it takes to succeed. Seminars and software alone do not make a successful day trader, cautions author Josh DiPietro. Instead, a trader must learn hard lessons of self-discipline, consistency, and staying in the game for the long haul to have a real chance of success. In The Truth About Day Trading Stocks, DiPietro offers the amateur day trader a brutally honest look at the pitfalls of day trading and how to hopefully avoid them. Written in an engaging and sometimes humorous tone, The Truth About Day Trading Stocks draws on the author's own experiences as a day trader to offer a clear-cut departure from typical "golden goose" strategies promising instant wealth. Instead, he attempts to slow down the dangerous fervor of the average amateur and demonstrate the ways you can become a professional and not lose your shirt in the process. The Truth About Day Trading Stocks shows how trading decisions are bent and shaped by emotions, and why it is critical to know yourself, understand risk, and remember that increasing your skill level is a gradual, ongoing process there's always more to learn! After dispensing with popular illusions, DiPietro proceeds to offer realistic, practical trading advice comparing pay-per-trade with pay-per-share brokers, determining which works best and when, offering suggestions on how to avoid the prospect of perfect trades turning ugly, and more. At the end of the book, he also includes a section called "Rules to Remember," a list of over eighty rules, simply stated and easy to grasp, to benefit amateurs' performance. Throughout the book, the author describes his development of acute self-awareness while figuring out how to succeed. Through that blunt self-portrayal, the goal of The Truth About Day Trading Stocks is to help you create a disciplined mind-set and apply it to your own successful trading style.

Book excerpt: Success as a day trader will only come to 10 percent of those who try. It’s important to understand why most traders fail so that you can avoid those mistakes. The day traders who lose money in the market are losing because of a failure to either choose the right stocks, manage risk, and find proper entries or follow the rules of a proven strategy. In this book, I will teach you trading techniques that I personally use to profit from the market. Before diving into the trading strategies, we will first build your foundation for success as a trader by discussing the two most important skills you can possess. I like to say that a day trader is two things: a hunter of volatility and a manager of risk. I’ll explain how to find predictable volatility and how to manage your risk so you can make money and be right only 50 percent of the time. We turn the tables by putting the odds for success in your favor. By picking up this book, you show dedication to improve your trading. This by itself sets you apart from the majority of beginner traders.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is that lyric in that one song? “The lure of easy money has a very strong appeal”. Maybe you decided to get into the day trading business of investing and/or investing and trading because you saw some late-night TV commercial about day trading with flashy offers. Perhaps you received a spam e-mail touting some day trading method or system that said you could make easy money in the markets; I suggest you reconsider if that’s the case. Death by Day Trading is for all beginning aspiring investors and traders who are just getting their head around doing the day trading business who go online and do a search to find information on how to do financial market trading and it should be the first book a brand new beginner reads before any other books on trading as far as I’m concerned and will be the most harsh and brutal day trading book they have ever read. Everyone has their own ideas of what they think day trading is and what it can do for them; you need to look at it from a realistic perspective from the start and Death by Day Trading is absolutely going to help you to do that. This book is for beginners and will detail many of the things that a brand new trader must learn not to do before they can become consistently profitable in the live markets. You’re heard the saying “just say no to drugs”, just say no to day trading and you and your account will be waaaaay ahead of the game to start off. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, OK, continue with your insanity and read the entire book to give yourself a fighting chance. Death by Day Trading can help you keep it simple and filter the huge amount of information out there down to only what you need to know right away and then can work towards adding more information and studies as you go. My trading philosophy is to start small and build on success have limited exposure while you hone your skills, then progress as you become more competent. You can use Death by Day Trading and the references, suggestions and tips in it to go further into your educational studies of the markets and there dynamics. Knowing market dynamics is going to be critical for you to have the winning edge you will need to be a successful market participant. By studying what this book suggests you will not become one of the 97% of the sheeple of the herd, don’t become one of them.

Day trading does not necessarily require you to be a tycoon, but you must have a specific amount of money that has been precisely selected to begin day trading. Remember, first times are always won or lose situations; however, as you continue to learn and grow, this set of money can be lost. Getting stuck in the past makes you much of a prisoner. Forward-thinking lets you see the possible moves and gives you the final air when the next trading activity will occur considering the set protocols in the day trader's plan. Being future-oriented incites forward-thinking, which involves rational thinking and knowing your next possible moves after a considerate examination. Being future-oriented hastens and simplifies the day trading operation moves, and the chances are that they will be successful. Don't be too frightened to press "order" and make your trades: new day traders often get paralyzed by overanalyzing level 2 columns and candles on their computer screens and do not act fast enough when presented with an opportunity. If you have self-discipline and have a well-established plan, then executing your trades should be automatic. If you make a mistake, then trust that your stops will limit your losses. Discipline is an important requirement in day trading: as a new day trader, it is important that you learn to not only set a trading plan but also adhere to it. For beginners, impulsive decisions can be your greatest enemy. Fear can cripple you and make you give up too soon, and greed can place you in a position for too long. Do not expect that a single trade will get you rich. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Very few careers can offer you the freedom, flexibility and income that day trading does. As a day trader, you can live and work anywhere in the world. You can decide when to work and when not to work. You only answer to yourself. That is the life of the successful day trader. Many people aspire to it, but very few succeed. Day trading is not gambling or an online poker game. To be successful at day trading you need the right tools and you need to be motivated, to work hard, and to persevere. At the beginning of my trading career, a pharmaceutical company announced some positive results for one of its drugs and its stock jumped from $1 to over $55 in just two days. Two days! I was a beginner at the time. I was the amateur. I purchased 1,000 shares at $4 and sold them at over $10. On my very first beginner trade, I made $6,000 in a matter of minutes. It was pure luck. I honestly had no idea what I was doing. Within a few weeks I had lost that entire $6,000 by making mistakes in other trades. I was lucky. My first stupid trade was my lucky one. Other people are not so lucky. For many, their first mistake is their last trade because in just a few minutes, in one simple trade, they lose all of the money they had worked so hard for. With their account at zero, they walk away from day trading. As a new day trader you should never lose sight of the fact that you are competing with professional traders on Wall Street and other experienced traders around the world who are very serious, highly equipped with advanced education and tools, and most importantly, committed to making money.Day trading is not gambling. It is not a hobby. You must approach day trading very, very seriously. As such, I wake up early, go for a run, take a shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, and fire up my trading station before the markets open in New York. I am awake. I am alert. I am motivated when I sit down and start working on the list of stocks I will watch that day. This morning routine has tremendously helped my mental preparation for coming into the market. Whatever your routine is, starting the morning in a similar fashion will pay invaluable dividends.Rolling out of bed and throwing water on your face 15 minutes before the opening bell just does not give you sufficient time to be prepared for the market's opening. Sitting at your computer in your pajamas or underwear does not put you in the right mindset to attack the market. I know. I've experienced all of these scenarios. In How to Day Trade for a Living, I will show you how you too can take control over your life and have success in day trading on the stock market. I love teaching. It's my passion. In this book, I use simple and easy to understand words to explain the strategies and concepts you need to know to launch yourself into day trading on the stock market. This book is definitely NOT a difficult, technical, hard to understand, complicated and complex guide to the stock market. It's concise. It's practical. It's written for everyone. You can learn how to beat Wall Street at its own game. And, as a purchaser of my book, you will also receive a membership in my community of day traders at www.vancouver-traders.com. You can monitor my screen in real time, watch me trade the strategies explained in his book, and ask questions of me and other traders in our private chat room.I invite you to join me in the world of day trading. I'm a real person who you can connect with. I'm not just a photograph here on the Amazon site. I love what I do. You can follow my blog post under Author Updates on my Author page on Amazon. It's honest. You'll see I lose some days. You can read the reviews of my book. I know you will learn much about day trading and the stock market from studying my book. You can join at no cost and with no obligation my community of day traders at www.vancouver-traders.com. You can ask us questions. Practical, hands-on knowledge.
