Book excerpt: Thousands of years ago the gods, in order to bring balance and harmony to the war ravaged realm of Aymara, made the Firebrand stone, (born of darkness), and the Chimera stone, (born of light), accessible to the many races of Aymara. Over time however, as the races advanced and greed prevailed once more, the Chimera stone was forgot and disappeared. This left the Firebrand stone’s evil unchecked, and once more the world is ravaged by unremitting war. That was until a Mage, by the name of Pellagrin, and his followers took the Firebrand stone and split it into four, then hid the shards from the gaze of the power hungry. Seeking the shards is a dark wizard, called Kuelack, who craves dominion over the lands of Aymara. As the threat of war rears its head once more, a young boy called Aridain is born into the world. His task is to seek and destroy the stones and thus rid the land of their adverse influence. However, the gods have other plans and a dark champion is created; its mission is to restore the stones to power and kill the young Aridain.

Book excerpt: Crystal Lighthouse Productions presents a never-before literary offering - two scintillating accounts on one subject in one book by two writers who are a husband-wife duo. Mukteshwar takes the readers on a pilgrimage to the holy Mount Kailaas, which he has visited thrice. He portrays the Kailaas he actually saw and lists his learnings during the voyages and how those moments of Divine Experiences impacted his persona and convictions. This part is titled "Enigmatic Kailaas: Glimpses of Eternity." Gauri visited on four occasions the Kailaas-Mansarovar region in Tibet, which is a revered land for billions of followers of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Tibetan Faith. In her work titled, "Enigmatic Kailaas: On the Trail of the Infinite," she unveils a host of information and exotic details about this heritage of mankind through the prism of evolution, geography, scriptures, and folklore. While part 1 has the potential of igniting a desire in a reader to undertake this ultimate yatra (pilgrimage), assimilating part 2 can make the voyage immensely rewarding. This book carries with it a foreword by H.H. The Dalai Lama and blessings by H.H. Shri Shankaracharya of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham and P.P. Swami Tejomayanand of Chinmay Mission - all great spiritual authorities. The cover page captures that moment on the banks of Mansarovar when the authors, in a meditative state, received the divine message to write about the treasures found in the environs of the ENIGMATIC KAILAAS.

Book excerpt: “Elena Danaan’s new book, We Will Never Let You Down, casts much needed light on the diplomatic negotiations between President Dwight Eisenhower and Valiant Thor—an ambassador of the Galactic Federation of Worlds—from 1958 to 1961. Now we finally have a fresh new perspective, directly from Valiant Thor himself, of the unsuccessful negotiations that were conducted. We learn about his warnings about negotiating with an alliance of alien predator races; Eisenhower’s betrayal by MJ-12 in signing secret agreements with this exploitative alliance; and how the Galactic Federation has ever since been mitigating the effects of these nefarious agreements through numerous covert actions to raise human consciousness and spark a planetary awakening. A must read for all wanting to prepare for the momentous global changes that lie ahead! “ Michael Salla, Ph.D. Rescued as a child by Extraterrestrials, Elena Danaan kept contact with them all her life and wrote her story in the bestseller: “A Gift From The Stars”. “We Will Never Let You Down” follows up by depicting contacts the author had with Commander Val “Valiant” Thor and her journeys in this solar system. Written at the brink of a new era, this book is a testimony of the presence and dedication of benevolent extraterrestrials protecting Earth. This book includes also precious messages from Commander Thor Han Eredyon from the Galactic Federation of Worlds, revelations about Val Thor’s sojourn in the Pentagon, his relation with Dwight Eisenhower, his stay in Russia, the political background involving secret treaties with the Grey Alliance and the complex underlying Alien-Human diplomacy. Astonishing details, unknown until now, are revealed in this book. Born in France, Elena Danaan is a Fine Arts graduate, Archaeologist, Druidess, Shaman, Energy & Sound practitioner. She worked as a field Archaeologist for 20 years, mainly in Egypt. Balancing both scientific education and cognitive abilities, Elena narrates with honnesty, pragmatism and simplicity, the incredible adventures she was privileged to live and share.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Mars of the imagination, like no other, in a colorful, witty SF novel, taking place in the kaleidoscopic future of Ian McDonald's Desolation Road, Ares Express is set on a terraformed Mars where fusion-powered locomotives run along the network of rails that is the planet’s circulatory system and artificial intelligences reconfigure reality billions of times each second. One young woman, Sweetness Octave Glorious-Honeybun Asiim 12th, becomes the person upon whom the future -- or futures -- of Mars depends. Big, picaresque, funny; taking the Mars of Ray Bradbury and the more recent, terraformed Marses of authors such as Kim Stanley Robinson and Greg Bear, Ares Express is a wild and woolly magic-realist SF novel, featuring lots of bizarre philosophies, strange, mind-stretching ideas, and trains as big as city blocks. REVIEWS “Ares Express is a long, adventure-filled, extravagantly colorful, often funny, quite moving, highly imaginative, excellently written story, set on a glorious Mars built partly of sharp-edged Kim Stanley Robinson-style extrapolation, but mostly of lush, loving, Ray Bradbury-style semi-SF, semi-Fantasy, Martian dreams.... I loved it wholeheartedly.” – SF Site “Hugo-winner McDonald’s virtues have long been underappreciated by major North American publishers... McDonald’s fantastic Mars is vividly detailed and owes much to Bradbury’s Martian stories. Despite a bit of hand waving around technology that is glibly indistinguishable from magic, this sequel is entirely worthy of its rightly lauded predecessor [Desolation Road].” – Publishers Weekly “One of the strangest, weirdest, fantastic reads of your life.” – SF Crowsnest “McDonald is clever, lyrical... snarky, and utterly wondrous. The characters would be completely unbelievable in our world, but in theirs they are inevitable...” – Night Owl Reviews

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Golden Age is a fantastical travelogue in which a modern-day Gulliver writes a book about a civilization he once encountered on a tiny island in the Atlantic. The islanders seem at first to do nothing but sit and observe the world, and indeed draw no distinction between reality and representation, so that a mirror image seems as substantial to them as a person (and vice versa); but the center of their culture is revealed to be “The Book” a handwritten, collective novel filled with feuding royal families, murderous sorcerers, and narrow escapes. Anyone is free to write in “The Book,” adding their own stories, crossing out others, or even ap- pending “footnotes” in the form of little paper pouches full of extra text—but of course there are pouches within pouches, so that the story is impossible to read “in order,” and soon begins to overwhelm the narrator's orderly treatise.

Book excerpt: At the end of July 1981, world heads of state gathered in London for the wedding of Price Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. Among those present was President Jawara of the Gambia, whose absence was exploited by Marxist rebels to overthrow him. Rightly fearing armed intervention from neighbouring Senegal, the new revolutionary council seized hostages including one of the President's wives and several of his children and emptied the prisons in a desperate search for allies in the coming struggle. In the first couple of days, as opposing factions of the Gambian police force wrestled for control, many of the released prisoners succumbed to the temptation to settle old scores, and almost two thousand Gambians lost their lives. In tourist beach hotels several hundred Europeans waited and feared the worst. Only one group of men was considered capable of stabilising the situation the legendary Special Air Service the SAS! So, at Jawara's request, three men of SAS 22 Regiment were sent into this cauldron, supposedly to advise the President and his Senegalese allies. But within days, circumstances and the men's bravado turned them into the spearhead of the counter-revolution, heavily embroiled in both the pursuit of heavily armed criminals and the dangerously delicate business of rescuing hostages. Soldier N SAS: The Gambian Bluff is the electrifying story of how, against all the odds, these three highly skilled soldiers defeated the rebels and restored President Jawara to power.

Book excerpt: A masterpiece of science reporting that tracks the animal origins of emerging human diseases, Spillover is “fascinating and terrifying … a real-life thriller with an outcome that affects us all” (Elizabeth Kolbert, author of The Sixth Extinction). In 2020, the novel coronavirus gripped the world in a global pandemic and led to the death of hundreds of thousands. The source of the previously unknown virus? Bats. This phenomenon—in which a new pathogen comes to humans from wildlife—is known as spillover, and it may not be long before it happens again. Prior to the emergence of our latest health crisis, renowned science writer David Quammen was traveling the globe to better understand spillover’s devastating potential. For five years he followed scientists to a rooftop in Bangladesh, a forest in the Congo, a Chinese rat farm, and a suburban woodland in New York, and through high-biosecurity laboratories. He interviewed survivors and gathered stories of the dead. He found surprises in the latest research, alarm among public health officials, and deep concern in the eyes of researchers. Spillover delivers the science, the history, the mystery, and the human anguish of disease outbreaks as gripping drama. And it asks questions more urgent now than ever before: From what innocent creature, in what remote landscape, will the Next Big One emerge? Are pandemics independent misfortunes, or linked? Are they merely happening to us, or are we somehow causing them? What can be done? Quammen traces the origins of Ebola, Marburg, SARS, avian influenza, Lyme disease, and other bizarre cases of spillover, including the grim, unexpected story of how AIDS began from a single Cameroonian chimpanzee. The result is more than a clarion work of reportage. It’s also the elegantly told tale of a quest, through time and landscape, for a new understanding of how our world works—and how we can survive within it.

Most citizens are permitted one day off per week and it’s one such day that Julian meets Taal, a visitor on reconnaissance from another dimension. This chance meeting fills Julian with feelings he’s never had before. He takes an instant liking to this handsome visitor and the attraction is mutual. He manages a few more meetings with Taal and the two men plot Julian’s escape to the beauty and freedom of Taal’s dimension. But things rarely go to plan. Julian’s been smart, but has he been smart enough to outwit the all-seeing, all-powerful Archon overlords and their human puppets? There is no such thing as a small risk. Taal and Julian’s escape plan will either end in spectacular happiness or abysmal disaster. Many citizens wouldn’t even try it. But Julian isn’t just any citizen.
