Book Synopsis The Last Pope: Decoding St Malachy's Prophecy on the Fall of the Vatican by : Robert Howells Author
Download or read book The Last Pope: Decoding St Malachy's Prophecy on the Fall of the Vatican written by Robert Howells Author and published by Duncan Baird Publishers. This book was released on 2013-01-01 with total page 317 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nearly a thousand years ago the Archbishop of Armagh, later canonised as St Malachy, made a series of prophecies that were hidden in the Vatican for 400 years. His predictions gave clues to the identities of the 109 Popes from medieval times to present day, including the final Pope who would oversee the end of the Papacy and the fall of the Roman Catholic Church. The Last Pope examines the sudden 'rediscovery' of these prophecies in the 16th century and how they may have been used as propaganda in the campaign to promote Pope Gregory XIV to the papal throne. The book also explores the claim that the prophecies are forgeries. Ultimately, they stand or fall by their accuracy (after the time of their rediscovery), and there are many examples where, even in recent years, they have proven to be entirely correct. Pope Benedict XVI may have been the penultimate Pope. According to the prophecies of St Malachy, the next Pope will be the last. In the final prophecy, St Malachy describes the last Pope as 'Peter the Roman'. By deduction, Robert Howells has identified which Cardinals are likely to be present at the next Vatican Conclave to choose a successor to Pope Benedict XVI. A favourite among them is a candidate who can readily be identified as 'Peter the Roman'. If he comes to power he may yet prove Malachy right, and oversee the fall of Rome and the destruction of the Catholic Church.

Download or read book The Prophecy of the Popes written by St. Malachy and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2015-08-11 with total page 128 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: St. Malachy was a 12th century prophet who provided prophetic mottoes for each pope from Celestine II in the 12th century until the final pope, Petrus Romanus, or Peter the Roman, who, according to the prophecy, would sit on the seat of St. Peter during the day of Judgment. St. Malachy provided mottoes for 112 popes, which, some believe, match up with every pope up until Pope Benedict XVI and even Pope Francis, who would, according to the prophecy, currently be sitting on the throne of St. Peter as the final pope or as Peter the Roman in the Day of Judgment. This edition contains the prophecies in English and in the original Latin and, for all of the popes before 1590, a biographical note. A brief explanation of each motto and an illustration of the coat of arms are included for all of the popes, except for those who are left undiscovered.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Semi fiction Novel Explores St. Malachis Prediction of the Last Pope Author gives readers a dose of controversy, action, mystery and thrill in new book With many existing publications predicting the world disasters and other conspiracies about the end of days, here is at last an all encompassing thriller that will get your mind racing. According to prophecies of St. Malachi, the last pope would come and signal the second coming of Christ. Author Franois Lejeune explores this fascinating concept in The Last Prophecy: The Last Pope. This semi fiction looks at what many ancients have foretold the election of the last pope. This last pope will be against the New World Order as he will want to, according to prophecy, return the Catholic Church to its roots. Within the Vatican are some who oppose to this idea and therefore seek to eliminate the last pope before he can be elected for their personal gains. Meanwhile, the heroes in this story are brought together by someone who stands against the predicted Anti-Christ. Composed of men and women who have gifts in investigating strange occurrences, this group embarks on a quest to find and protect the true last pope. After surviving an assassination attempt, they escape and eventually make their way to Eastern Europe where groups of secret societies and members of The New World Order try and stop them. It will only be a matter of days before they will be able to save Christianity before it ultimately ends. With an in-depth look at all the predictions and end time scenarios as an Epilogue, The Last Prophecy: The Last Pope is a thrilling novel that appeals to everyone who has an interest in Conspiracy theories, end time Prophecies and who is at a point in their lives wondering where it is all going and what its all about.

Book Synopsis Alexander Pope by : Dustin H. Griffin
Download or read book Alexander Pope written by Dustin H. Griffin and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2015-03-08 with total page 305 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is the precise relation between the "Pope" of the poems and the Pope of history? Seeking to clarify the nature of the intimate link between the historical self and the idealized self of the poetry, Dustin Griffin examines the various ways in which Pope's poems may be said to be self-expressive. He brings a sensitive critical reading of the texts and an impressive knowledge of the poet's life and writings to his discussion of poems from the entire range of the poet's career. The author argues that Pope is present in his poems as a private person whose special imaginative and psychological concerns emerge because they are expressed publicly. In some poems, Pope confronts quite openly his fervent moral idealism with his powerful aggressive feelings, and he explores his conflicting impulses toward retirement and engagement. In others, he reveals impulses and attractions that he would not admit to full consciousness in his letters. Pope is also present as poet-protagonist, self-consciously attempting to present and master a body of poetic material. Professor Griffin's study recovers some of the personal energy that invigorates Pope's greatest poems and makes them strikingly self-expressive products of an imagination intrigued and often at odds with itself and, yet more sharply, with the world. Book Synopsis The Prophecy of Saint Malachy by : Joseph Lumpkin
Download or read book The Prophecy of Saint Malachy written by Joseph Lumpkin and published by . This book was released on 2012 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The events of 1978 saw the death of Pope Paul VI, the election and unexpected death of John Paul I, and finally the election of John Paul II. Three Popes in one year propelled the world like a run away train toward the conclusion of a prophecy given by St. Malachy in 1139. The prophecy lists 112 Popes. The last Pope would take the seat of Saint Peter and the world would fall into anarchy. John Paul II was the 110th Pope. The Pope ruling the Holy See today is Benedict XVI, the 111th Pope, and according to the prophecy, the last Pope to rule an intact church and functioning world. The next Pope will not be the Vicar of Christ. He will be the enemy of the church, usurper of the throne and he will be called "Peter of Rome."
