A second fell—or was pushed—from a rooftop deck. High school sophomore Jamie Whelan, scheduled to watch the Ryerson twins tonight, isn’t worried. She’s more interested in the party she’ll go to later, as soon as her sister Emma arrives to take over babysitting duties. But nothing goes according to plan . . . But the truth . . . Twenty years after that night’s vicious attack, Emma remains scarred in body and mind. Jamie, back in River Glen after their mother’s death, still feels guilty over trading places that fateful evening. Then suddenly another young babysitter is attacked. Jamie, with a teenage daughter of her own, fears something much more twisted than coincidence. Is even more terrifying . . . Is this new nightmare connected with those long-ago crimes? Emma’s fractured memories may contain the answer. But the deeper Jamie digs, the darker the secrets waiting to be uncovered—and avenged . . .

Guess which one is filled with naughty filth? Yes, you’d be right. There are things that happen at Sanctum that I can *never* put on my resume, but I love it anyways. One day at a special play party, I meet a man who’s so gorgeous that my thighs squeeze tight with deliciousness. He’s got broad shoulders, sculpted abs, and a certain something that makes me whine with ecstasy. We set off fireworks so hot that I’m surprised the club doesn’t catch fire and burn down. But everything that happens at Sanctum stays hush hush, right? Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. I’ve also got a new babysitting client who needs help with his little daughter. But when the front door opens, I gasp with shock because it’s HIM! The huge, gorgeous billionaire that I entertained just last night! OMG, our paths aren’t supposed to cross in real life! Even worse, Jared thinks that I have to do whatever he wants because he’s technically bought and paid for my time. But what the billionaire doesn’t realize is that actions have consequences – and he’s getting a baby before this night is over! Hey Readers – We’re back at Sanctum for some spicy fun! This book is a sequel to Taken By The Beast, but this time we’re following Marcy, Bridget’s saucy friend who also likes her fun embedded in pure filth. It’s a special trick called belly-dancing *wink wink* which can only be done in the confines of the club. Don’t get me wrong because the Sanctum girls have hearts of gold, it’s just that they also have curvy bodies made for sin, and they’re not afraid to use them! Lose yourself in this filthy tale of love, desire, and everything in between. No cheating, no cliffhangers, and always a HEA for my readers.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jamie was thumbing through the newspaper in search of a weekend job for the summer. She was sixteen years old and needed the extra money to help save for textbooks when she started college in the fall. She tossed the newspaper on the floor frustrated with no results. Then one of the newspaper pages flipped over to the last page of the classifieds and there it was in small print, "babysitter needed for the summer." She said, "How did I miss this, maybe, I passed over it because it didn't say weekends only." Jamie called the number, and a middle-aged woman answered, and said, "May I help you?" "Yes, you can. I am interested in a babysitting job, but wasn't sure if this was an everyday thing or just weekends only," asked Jamie. "I'm sorry, but I meant to put weekends only, but I was in a hurry," explained the woman. "If you're looking to babysit every day, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you," said the woman. "No, this is exactly what I wanted. When can I start?" asked Jamie. "Well, can you start next weekend around five p.m.?" said the woman. "That sounds perfect! I'll see you then," replied Jamie. Jamie hung up the phone and was excited about having a job. That would ease her mind about how she was going to be able to pay for her textbooks. The week passed by like a rocket, and it was Saturday, and Jamie showed up to her babysitting job right on time. Jamie knocked on the woman’s front door, and the woman opened the door, and said "You must be Jamie, so nice to see you." The woman introduced her children to Jamie and told her she would be back by six p.m. Sunday night. The woman said bye to Jamie, and her kids, then got in her car, and drove to her business trip. Jamie played some games with the children then the phone rang. Jamie picked up the phone and said, "Who's there?" all she heard was heavy breathing, and she hung up the phone and went back to playing games with the children. Jamie checked her watch and said "Oh my! It's eight p.m., how time flies when you're having fun. Well children it's time for bed." Jamie escorted the children upstairs to the bedroom that they shared. She read them a story then a few minutes later the children fell fast asleep. Jamie got out of bed with them and turned the light out, then went downstairs to watch TV before going to sleep. As Jamie was eating popcorn and watching a movie called Halloween it started storming outside. Scary movies scare the willies out of her, but she still liked watching them anyway. Then the phone started ringing, and she picked it up, and said, Hello!" Then an eerie voice said, "Have you checked on the children lately."

Book excerpt: 'She arrives at 7.40, ten minutes late...' She babysits for Mr and Mrs Tucker. She has left a boyfriend alone for the evening. From this seemingly simple start Robert Coover masterfully explores the subtle barrier between 'reality' and thought. As the babysitter triggers the men's sexual fantasies, their erotic imaginations twist into alternative narratives simultaneously experienced by the reader: she does or does not take a bath; she does or does not invite her boyfriend over; she does or does not get caught unawares by Mr Tucker. In a profusion of happenings and imaginings, Coover layers moment upon moment, narrative upon narrative, to shatter the timeline of one evening into a multiplicity of events - contradictory, simultaneous, but all equally 'real'.

About The Expert Tina Crowther has been caring for children off and on for over 20 years. She started babysitting kids at the age 12. She enjoys caring for kids, so much so that took some child-related courses in college, such as child psychology. Babysitting wasn’t just about watching kids for Tina, it was to understand them and interact with them at their age level. Back when Tina Crowther was growing up she was more of a tomboy; she climbed trees, played tag, and played neighborhood baseball. She wasn’t into Barbie and dresses but one thing she did like was caring for her 5 Cabbage Patch Kids like a mom does for her child. Then at age 12, she became a big sister, so she could play pretend with a real baby! In fact, she was like a second mother to her sister. She would babysit when her mom and step-dad worked late or went out. She then began to babysit her younger cousins and children of her mom’s friends. When Tina was 18 she began working in schools as an assistant and then as a substitute teacher, which she currently does now. Tina has worked at various schools, caring for many different children, including special education children and children with disabilities. Caring for children is something that comes naturally to her. Take away a little piece of advice from Tina Crowther: “Kids are a sponge ready to soak up all the information that comes their way; teach them, love them and care for them. They will take that with them into adulthood and will pass it along to their offspring. It doesn’t matter if you are their parent, teacher or neighbor, we all have an impact on a child’s life.” HowExpert publishes quick 'how to' guides on all topics from A to Z by everyday experts.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Therapists inevitably feel more gratified in their work when their cases have better treatment outcomes. This book is designed to help them achieve that by providing practical solutions to problems that arise in psychotherapy, such as: Do depressed people need an antidepressant, or psychotherapy alone? How do you handle people who want to be your “friend,” who touch you, who won’t leave your office, or who break boundaries? How do you prevent people from quitting treatment prematurely? Suppose you don’t like the person who consults you? What if people you treat with CBT don’t do their homework? When do you explain defense mechanisms, and when do you use supportive approaches? Award-winning professor, Jerome Blackman, answers these and many other tricky problems for psychotherapists. Dr. Blackman punctuates his lively text with tips and snippets of various theories that apply to psychotherapy. He shares his advice and illustrates his successes and failures in diagnosis, treatment, and supervision. He highlights fundamental, fascinating, and perplexing problems he has encountered over decades of practicing and supervising therapy.
