Book excerpt: "Four years after having published my book with Trafford, a subsidiary of AuthorHouse, I was still getting phone calls from their high-powered phone salespeople, known as marketing consultants, to persuade me to buy their expensive marketing gimmicks. I must admit that I had given in far too often in the past, and they were quite sure they could continue to milk my bank account. Almost immediately buyer's remorse set in with a vengeance. How could I do this! I know this is a scam, why am I so stupid? I'm supposed to be a reasonably intelligent woman! Nothing they've ever done on my behalf has had the slightest impact on book sales. Super expensive services with nothing to show for them. How could I have let them talk me into kicking Lucy's football again? Again! Am I the only fool? Have others had the same experiences with these people? I decided to look a bit more extensively into what I came to realize was the AuthorHouse Scam, and have written this book to share my experiences and findings with other authors and potential authors."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Death of Carthage tells the story of the Second and third Punic wars that took place between ancient Rome and Carthage in three parts. The first book, Carthage Must Be Destroyed, covering the second Punic war, is told in the first person by Lucius Tullius Varro, a young Roman of equestrian status who is recruited into the Roman cavalry at the beginning of the war in 218 BC. Lucius serves in Spain under the Consul Publius Cornelius Scipio and his brother, the Proconsul Cneius Cornelius Scipio. Captivus, the second book, is narrated by Lucius's first cousin Enneus, who is recruited to the Roman cavalry under Gaius Flaminius and taken prisoner by Hannibal's general Maharbal after the disastrous Roman defeat at Lake Trasimene in 217 BC. Enneus is transported to Greece and sold as a slave, where he is put to work as a shepherd on a large estate and establishes his life there. The third and final book, The Death of Carthage, is narrated by Enneus's son, Ectorius. As a rare bilingual, Ectorius becomes a translator and serves in the Roman army during the war and witnesses the total destruction of Carthage in the year 146 BC. This historical saga, full of minute details on day-to-day life in ancient times, depicts two great civilizations on the cusp of influencing the world for centuries to come.

Book excerpt: There are hundreds of situations as to why Foster and Adoption is in our world today. This book is to help start communication about a topic that can be hard to discuss depending on the situation. For me- I have been on both sides of the situation. I am adopted. I also have worked as a foster parent and I have also worked with CASA-Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children. Through all of this –I have learned and watched many heartbreaking situations that have helped to create this book and many more to come I hope This book is to help start the discussion between the child and parent, family, and anyone else curious about Foster and Adoption. My hope is to help build stronger families through communicating about Foster and Adoption. My desire is to take the hurt, anger and frustration and make it into a bond stronger than family! Choosing to love, raise and make an unconditional unwavering commitment to love someone that did not come from your blood and bones is an admirable but daunting task. It will be a tough fight at times but in the end the bond and relationship and loyalty is stronger than any DNA strand. First, I would like to say that this would not be possible without God because without him- I am impossible. Last, THANK YOU to all of those who saw the fight worth it and staying beside me while I discovered I was worth fighting for. Thank you- I love you all!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Home ownership has been widely regarded as the best financial investment in the pursuit of wealth accumulation. Americans believe that the appreciated value of a home provides a great hedge against inflation, giving homeowners an opportunity to make a profit when they sell the property. Today, two-thirds of American families own their homes. Nearly 80 percent of the 78 million baby boomers are homeowners. Many of them have bought and sold several homes. Yet close to 90 percent of American families are broke. Nothing consumes more of our hard-earned money than home ownership. What if this popular, best investment choice is nothing more than a dangerous dream? Is home ownership simply a huge economic scam designed to keep buyers broke? Could homeowners be working to pay a mortgage that make their lenders rich while they stay poor? What if home equity is only an illusion? Could renters be in a better financial position than those who own their home? Renters Win, Homeowners Lose: Revealing The Biggest Scam In America is a bold approach in unraveling the long-term financial reality of home ownership in America. The book compares buying a home to renting and reveals that renters clearly have tangible, financial advantages over the majority of homeowners. Renters can truly be winners! Tables and models are used throughout the book to poignantly demonstrate that most homeowners receive no more than a zero percent return on their investment, and many lose money in the deal. Renters Win, Homeowners Lose: Revealing the Biggest Scam in America will get you to rethink the way you view home ownership versus renting. The book is a thought-provoking masterpiece.

As the last remaining member of, and press officer for, the Federal Aviation Administrations anti-skyjacking task force that developed the original procedure during 1969-70, the author has unique personal experience. The general theme is that the government is going around in procedural circles to provide security when a return to the original Dailey Profile as Step One would provide the same, if not better, protection against potential skyjacking. The book also defines the difference between domestic events and perceived terrorism.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Finally, there’s a book that uses sound, rightly divided doctrine and wisdom to answer all your tithing questions. No longer will you have to rely on opinions, clichés, wishful thinking, passed down deceptions, legalism, or plain ole foolishness just to know what is required of you and where you stand with God. The Bible is very clear for those who want to know. All of your questions are thoroughly answered in THE GREAT TITHING DEBATE. The huge list of tithing questions, compiled over years of waiting for tithing to finally work, hinges on an exhaustive knowledge, or lack thereof, concerning exactly what Jesus fully accomplished at the cross. When the reality of redemption is properly understood, most questions disappear and the once shaky believer finds that, not only is he now standing on solid rock, but has actually become part of that rock. When redemption is fully understood, one realizes that the act of tithing to “open heaven” or provide anything that Jesus freely gave at the cross is actually an insult to the suffering He endured at the cross. Yes, tithing worked in the Old Covenant as a part of the total Law, but has absolutely no place in the New Covenant that provides everything (Romans 8:32) through the blood of Christ. Peter counted such teaching as “tempting the Holy Spirit” in Acts 15. Paul obviously had the same opinion in most of his writings, for those who will read them without wearing their tithing glasses. We may call it an “act of faith,” “obedience,” “doing the Word,” “good stewardship,” or what ever we want, but at the end of the day it is nothing more than an obsolete, Old Testament ordinance that will only “frustrate the grace of God,” as Paul taught in Galatians. As circumcision became “nothing” under the NT, likewise, tithing is no longer obligatory. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to actually have your prayers easily answered because of Jesus’ finished work and the Name He gave us to use? Would you like to know that God is going to say “yes” to His promises without you having to wonder if all your church ducks are in a row? And finally, wouldn’t it be nice to have a royal ring put on your finger, a kingly robe put on your back, and a big hug of approval without having to sleep in the bunk house as a “servant” until it’s decided that you can be trusted? So, this is a book about salvation; something that the church seems to know little about. Beyond forgiveness of sins, today’s church seems to be unaware and uninterested in understanding redemption. This vacuum has left us open to a myriad of opinions, questionable doctrines, and even deception. This book endeavors to fill some of that vacuum. You should get a copy and explore the possibilities of the complete redemption that God intended for us to enjoy. Examine the free preview below and “taste and see that the Lord is good,” even much better than we’ve been taught. Hopefully, pride, a rampant byproduct of legalism and performance, won’t keep you from hearing. Maybe you’re still teachable and open to God’s leading, even if you’re already pretty sure you have a good understanding of the duties required of a genuine Christian. DO YOU KNOW THAT Malachi was

In her practice she had experienced thatfeeling too and she is amazed that Dr Werth came out with those microimplants inserted in different points of the ear to stop or slow down thedestructive process of the Parkinsons. D. Lise is now in her third year of practice and research in the field ofEar Acupuncture and Parkinson. At the same time, she keeps treatingher regular patients, but at a lower rythm. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In A Miracle in Waiting Paul Hellyer pulls no punches. First published in 1996 under the title Surviving the Global Financial Crisis: The Economics of Hope for Generation X Hellyer maintained that the monetarist counter-revolution has been one monumental flop and predicted in the first two paragraphs that a meltdown was inevitable. The entire book was prophetic and should be read in that context. Hellyer argued that the federal deficit is nothing but a red herring that detracts from more fundamental issues such as the monetary system which, stripped of all the holy water that has been poured on it over the years, is nothing more than the perpetuation of a scam developed by the English goldsmiths more than three hundred years ago a scam that has turned out to be the most profitable in history. This book removes the veil from the mystery of money. Nearly all money is simply virtual computer entries by highly leveraged privately-owned banks that create money out of thin air. Worse, they are allowed to lend their capital up to twenty times or more and collect interest on it each time. Still worse many of the loans are made to hedge funds and the financial industry that make huge profits without creating any new real wealth that is tangible and useful. Hellyers book explains exactly what has to be done. Bank ratios have to be reduced dramatically. At the same time the proportion of money created by governments (who own the patent on behalf of the people) has to be substantially increased. This will allow the fiscal flexibility necessary to balance their budgets and help finance critically important projects such as the transformation from an oil economy to one based on clean fuels. Many other major problems could be solved by a substantial infusion of debt free money.
