Book Synopsis Transactions on Aspect-Oriented Software Development I by : Awais Rashid
Download or read book Transactions on Aspect-Oriented Software Development I written by Awais Rashid and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2006-03-06 with total page 344 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Publisher description: "The LNCS Journal on Transactions on Aspect-Oriented Software Development is devoted to all facets of aspect-oriented software development (AOSD) techniques in the context of all phases of the software life cycle, from requirements and design to implementation, maintenance and evolution. The focus of the journal is on approaches for systematic identification, modularization, representation and composition of crosscutting concerns, i.e., the aspects, evaluation of such approaches and their impact on improving quality attributes of software systems. This book, the first volume in the Transactions on Aspect-Oriented Software Development series, presents nine revised papers that have been through a careful peer reviewing process by the journal's Editorial Board. The papers cover a wide range of topics from software design to implementation of aspect-oriented languages. The first four articles address various issues of aspect-oriented modeling at the design level; the following four articles discuss various programming language issues. The final article in this volume describes a workbench for implementing aspect-oriented languages, so that easy experimentation with new language features and implementation techniques are possible."
Book Synopsis Structured Simulation-based Training Program for a Digitized Force by :
Download or read book Structured Simulation-based Training Program for a Digitized Force written by and published by . This book was released on 1999 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This report provides an historical account and analysis of the U.S. Army Research Institute's (ARI) research and development (R & D) efforts on structured simulation-based training (SST). These R & D efforts have led to the development of 30 research reports, 14 conference papers, and over 200 training support packages (TSPs). The developed TSPs focused on optimizing the simulation-based training opportunities for armor and mechanized infantry platoons and companies, and their battalion and brigade staffs. The TSPs have also been developed for representatives of a battalion's or a brigade's combat support and combat service support elements. This report's findings indicate that the developed TSPs would, if utilized properly, help the U.S. Army more fully exploit its advanced simulation-training systems. In addition, 43 lessons learned have been derived from these SST projects. The present report provides a central information source on ARI's SST efforts, and has important implications for future SST research and development efforts."--Stinet.

Book Synopsis The Cambridge Handbook of Public-Private Partnerships, Intellectual Property Governance, and Sustainable Development by : Margaret Chon
Download or read book The Cambridge Handbook of Public-Private Partnerships, Intellectual Property Governance, and Sustainable Development written by Margaret Chon and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2018-09-20 with total page 811 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Public–private partnerships (PPPs) play an increasingly prominent role in addressing global development challenges. United Nations agencies and other organizations are relying on PPPs to improve global health, facilitate access to scientific information, and encourage the diffusion of climate change technologies. For this reason, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development highlights their centrality in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). At the same time, the intellectual property dimensions and implications of these efforts remain under-examined. Through selective case studies, this illuminating work contributes to a better understanding of the relationships between PPPs and intellectual property considered within a global knowledge governance framework, that includes innovation, capacity-building, technological learning, and diffusion. Linking global governance of knowledge via intellectual property to the SDGs, this is the first book to chart the activities of PPPs at this important nexus.
