Para lograrlo se realizo una investigacion descriptiva, documental e interpretativa y transaccional. Los resultados revelan que las politicas de administracion de riesgo no proveen guias de accion para manejar el riesgo organizacional, los criterios no consideran los costos de las acciones para mitigar los efectos ni el impacto de los factores; las tecnicas de medicion son de tipo mixto y estaticas. Se concluye que la gestion de riesgo en estas empresas es medianamente adecuada y se recomienda revisar las politicas de riesgos y monitorear los factores inductores de riesgo. Se formularon lineamientos para la administracion del riesgo en empresas de seguros."
