Ein Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, aus den Erkenntnissen des Begriffs des Teamteachings Handlungsansätze für die inklusive Schule herzuleiten. In der folgenden Arbeit wird daher der Frage nachgegangen, welche Möglichkeiten und Herausforderungen das Konzept des Teamteaching beim Unterrichten einer heterogenen Lerngruppe mit sich bringt. Darüber hinaus soll geklärt werden, inwiefern das Teamteaching eine Bereicherung für die Lehrende und Lernende sein kann. Um diese Fragestellungen beantworten zu können, ist die Arbeit folgendermaßen gegliedert: Zunächst wird als Grundlage für den weiteren Verlauf der Arbeit, eine Begriffsbestimmung der Begriffe ‚Teamteaching‘ und ‚Inklusion‘ durchgeführt, da die öffentliche als auch wissenschaftliche Verwendung der Begriffe in ihrer Bedeutung sehr breit gefächert sind. Im nächsten Schritt wird ein Blick darauf geworfen, warum Teamteaching eine Notwendigkeit in der inklusiven Schule darstellt. Die Formen des Teamteachings werden ebenfalls Gegenstand dieses Kapitels sein. Kapitel drei wird zunächst aufzeigen, wie sich der Prozess eines Teams entwickelt. Daran anschließend werden im nächsten Kapitel Voraussetzungen und Gelingensbedingungen für ein erfolgreiches Teamteaching dargestellt. Im wesentlichen Fokus der Arbeit werden im fünften Kapitel Möglichkeiten und Chancen dargestellt, dass Teamteaching sowohl für die Lehrenden als auch für die Lernenden mit sich bringen kann. Im Zuge dessen werden im sechsten Kapitel Herausforderungen und Grenzen aufgezeigt, die mit dem Teamteaching verbunden sind. Abschließend folgt das Fazit, in welchem die zuvor erarbeiteten Punkte noch einmal zusammengetragen werden. Die bis dahin dargestellten Argumente werden zusammengeführt und in einer Diskussion abgewogen und reflektiert. Dabei soll die zentrale Fragestellung beantwortet werden, inwiefern Teamteaching in der inklusiven Schule umgesetzt werden kann und welche Möglichkeiten und Grenzen sich daraus ergeben.

Inwieweit kommt es durch Teamteaching zu einer Bereicherung beziehungsweise Belastung für die im Team arbeitenden Lehrenden? Welche Vorteile ergeben sich für die Lernenden? Warum ist es lohnenswert, sich auf diese "neue" Unterrichtsform einzulassen und welche Kompromisse müssen trotzdem eingegangen werden? Zunächst werden der Begriff der Inklusion sowie das Teamteaching weiter definiert. Des Weiteren wird der Prozess der Teamentwicklung beschrieben und die strukturellen sowie individuellen Voraussetzungen für gelingende Teamarbeit thematisiert. Lerngruppen sind während der letzten Jahrzehnte in sämtlichen Schulformen immer heterogener geworden. Ursache dafür sind gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen wie die Globalisierung, Migration, Pluralisierung familiärer Lebensformen und gesellschaftliche Individualisierung. Entsprechend groß sind die Unterschiede in den Lernhaltungen, Kompetenzen, Erwartungen und Interessen der Schüler einer Klasse. Durch den Beschluss der UN-Konvention über die Rechte von Menschen mit Behinderungen durch die Bundesregierung im März 2009 werden Schüler mit sonderpädagogischem Förderbedarf an Regelschulen unterrichtet. Damit steigt die Heterogenität im Klassenzimmer noch weiter an und fordert Schulen und Lehrkräfte heraus. Das gilt insbesondere für die berufliche Bildung. Wie keine andere Schulform sind berufsbildende Schulen durch Heterogenität in der Vorbildung ihrer Schüler geprägt. Das Bildungsniveau innerhalb einer Lerngruppe variiert dabei nicht selten vom Hauptschulabschluss bis zum Abitur. Bei konventionellem Unterricht in heterogenen Lerngruppen müssen hierdurch einige Schüler warten, während andere nicht hinterherkommen und wieder andere sich bereits langweilen. Das Konzept des Teamteachings als neue Lehr-Lernform bietet die Möglichkeit, diesen komplexen Anforderungen gerecht werden zu können und eine Binnendifferenzierung im Unterricht zu realisieren.
