This book was released on 1959 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A literature review of materials pertaining to the coalescence of cloud droplets in forming rain and to the prominant factors that influence this process is presented. Laboratory work in evolving a method for producing individual vortices reproducibly is discussed, and an airfoil modeled for use in a cloud chamber is described. The development of a 24-cu ft-capacity continuous cloud chamber is described, and the results of tests and analyses of its performance are reported. Satisfactory means of monitoring the cloud-chamber contents throughout experiments without disturbing the chamber and the cloud equilibrium are under study. A program of measurements of rain under Project Hi Cue was conducted at Flagstaff, Arizona, during July and August, 1959, using the van-mounted APQ-40 radar unit. (Author).

Book Synopsis Atmospheric Turbulence by : O.G. Sutton
Download or read book Atmospheric Turbulence written by O.G. Sutton and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-01-10 with total page 63 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Originally published in 1955 Atmospheric Turbulence examines dynamic meteorology and the fundamental part it plays in the overall science of meteorology. The book examines the theory of atmospheric turbulence as a more mathematically developed area than largescale motions of the atmosphere and examines its significance in economic, military and industrial spheres. The book focuses on the effect and importance of atmospheric turbulence, not only to meteorologists, but the designers of large aircraft. The book addresses the effects of turbulence and the properties of the atmosphere that can be found closer to the ground. This book will be of interest to atmospheric physicists and meteorologists.

This book was released on 2016-07-26 with total page 268 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book presents an up-to-date review of turbulent two-phase flows with the dispersed phase, with an emphasis on the dynamics in the near-wall region. New insights to the flow physics are provided by direct numerical simuation and by fine experimental techniques. Also included are models of particle dynamics in wall-bounded turbulent flows, and a description of particle surface interactions including muti-layer deposition and re-suspension.

Book Synopsis Atmospheric Aerosols by : Claudio Tomasi
Download or read book Atmospheric Aerosols written by Claudio Tomasi and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2017-03-20 with total page 706 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
