This book was released on 1964 with total page 174 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Oblique-shock tables are presented for air with initial Mach numbers from 1.05 to 12.0 and flow-deflection angles from 0 degrees up to the maximum turning angle for attached flow. Parameters presented are flow-deflection angle, shock-wave angle, total-pressure ratio, static-pressure, density, and temperature ratios, downstream Mach number, ratio of downstream velocity to maximum velocity, and increase in entropy. Perfect-gas equations have been used throughout these calculations.

Download or read book Mach Number Tables (gamma written by H. C. KERR and published by . This book was released on 1964 with total page 382 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This memorandum is composed of three tables, along with a brief description of each. It is well known that the common Mach tables for air (gamma = 1.4) are accurate only if the temperature of the flow is everywhere comparatively low. In order to increase the usefulness of these tables, certain auxiliary tables of correction factors have been constructed which give satisfactory results over a wide range of total temperatures and pressures. These auxiliary tables apply a correction factor to the common Mach tables and must therefore be used in conjunction with them. The factors are very easy to apply and they greatly increase the accuracy of the ordinary Mach tables within the limits of the assumptions made. TABLE I: Thirteen Mach functions useful in flow analysis are tabulated over a wide range of Mach number values: O

This book was released on 1991 with total page 73 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This report, which is a revision and extension of NACA TN 1428, presents a compilation of equations, tables, and charts useful in the analysis of high-speed flow of a compressible fluid. The equations provide relations for continuous one-dimensional flow, normal and oblique shock waves, and Prandtl-Meyer expansions for both perfect and imperfect gases. The tables present useful dimensionless ratios for continuous one-dimensional flow and for normal shock waves as functions of Mach number for air considered as a perfect gas. One series of charts presents the characteristics of the flow of air (considered a perfect gas) for oblique shock waves and for cones in a supersonic air stream. A second series shows the effects of caloric imperfection's on continuous one-dimensional flow and on the flow through normal and oblique shock waves.

Book Synopsis Elements of Gas Turbine Propulsion by : Jack D. Mattingly
Download or read book Elements of Gas Turbine Propulsion written by Jack D. Mattingly and published by AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics). This book was released on 2005 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text provides an introduction to gas turbine engines and jet propulsion for aerospace or mechanical engineers. The text is divided into four parts: introduction to aircraft propulsion; basic concepts and one-dimensional/gas dynamics; parametric (design point) and performance (off-design) analysis of air breathing propulsion systems; and analysis and design of major gas turbine engine components (fans, compressors, turbines, inlets, nozzles, main burners, and afterburners). Design concepts are introduced early (aircraft performance in introductory chapter) and integrated throughout. Written with extensive student input on the design of the book, the book builds upon definitions and gradually develops the thermodynamics, gas dynamics, and gas turbine engine principles.

Book Synopsis Essentials of Interventional Cancer Pain Management by : Amitabh Gulati
Download or read book Essentials of Interventional Cancer Pain Management written by Amitabh Gulati and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-12-28 with total page 530 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This text provides a comprehensive review and expertise on various interventional cancer pain procedures. The first part of the text addresses the lack of consistency seen in the literature regarding interventional treatment options for specific cancer pain syndromes. Initially, it discusses primary cancer and treatment-related cancer pain syndromes that physicians may encounter when managing cancer patients. The implementation of paradigms that can be used in treating specific groups of cancer such as breast cancer, follows. The remainder of the text delves into a more common approach to addressing interventional cancer pain medicine. After discussing interventional options that are commonly employed by physicians, the text investigates how surgeons may address some of the more severe pain syndromes, and covers the most important interventional available for our patients, intrathecal drug delivery. Chapters also cover radiologic options in targeted neurolysis and ablative techniques, specifically for bone metastasis, rehabilitation to address patients’ quality of life and function, and integrative and psychological therapies. Essentials of Interventional Cancer Pain Management globally assesses and addresses patients’ needs throughout the cancer journey. Written by experts in the field, and packed with copious tables, figures, and flow charts, this book is a must-have for pain physicians, residents, and fellows.
