Download or read book Systèmes interactifs d'aide à la décision en agriculture written by Jean-Louis Monlon-Borrel and published by . This book was released on 1992 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Synopsis Economics and Cognitive Science by : Paul Bourgine
Download or read book Economics and Cognitive Science written by Paul Bourgine and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2014-06-28 with total page 238 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Economics, dealing with mental processes of decision makers is part of cognitive science; conversely, cognitive science, faced with constraints on information processing, is part of economics. In July 1990, the Cecoia 2 conference was organised in Paris to further explore the connections between the two. The papers presented in this volume illustrate this truly interdisciplinary research intertwining social and cognitive sciences. Three main topics are represented: agent's mental representation when facing complex uncertainty; agent's computational constraints leading to bounded rationality; agent's learning and evolution in an imperfectly known environment.

Book Synopsis Context-Sensitive Decision Support Systems by : Dina Berkeley
Download or read book Context-Sensitive Decision Support Systems written by Dina Berkeley and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-01-09 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In today's rapidly changing educational and business climate, organizational transformation has become a key area of development for many different and varied environments, both commercial and academic. This book addresses issues related to developing Decision Support Systems (DSS) which are sensitive and adaptable to different contexts and evolving technical and work environments. In addition to addressing the various cultural/social, organizational/individual, task/technology contexts of DSS, the book also anchors these discussions in a practical context, drawing on case studies to illustrate the theoretical dimensions stressed. This book includes the following issues: Frameworks for understanding the contexts and environments of decision support; Cases and issues in decision support and organizational transformation in context; An inter-disciplinary analysis of DSS, covering a wide variety of situations; and Real-world applications of DSS . It contains selected papers presented and discussed at the International Conference on Context-Sensitive Decision Support Systems, which was sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and held in Bled, Slovenia in July 1998. The book will prove invaluable to anyone working in information and decision support systems development, management, implementation and evaluation, as well as to researchers/practitioners in organizational analysis and development, management and business administration, sociology and psychology of organizations, human relations and human factors management.
Book Synopsis Intelligent Decision Making: An AI-Based Approach by : Gloria Phillips-Wren
Download or read book Intelligent Decision Making: An AI-Based Approach written by Gloria Phillips-Wren and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2008-03-04 with total page 414 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Intelligent Decision Support Systems have the potential to transform human decision making by combining research in artificial intelligence, information technology, and systems engineering. The field of intelligent decision making is expanding rapidly due, in part, to advances in artificial intelligence and network-centric environments that can deliver the technology. Communication and coordination between dispersed systems can deliver just-in-time information, real-time processing, collaborative environments, and globally up-to-date information to a human decision maker. At the same time, artificial intelligence techniques have demonstrated that they have matured sufficiently to provide computational assistance to humans in practical applications. This book includes contributions from leading researchers in the field beginning with the foundations of human decision making and the complexity of the human cognitive system. Researchers contrast human and artificial intelligence, survey computational intelligence, present pragmatic systems, and discuss future trends. This book will be an invaluable resource to anyone interested in the current state of knowledge and key research gaps in the rapidly developing field of intelligent decision support.
Download or read book Systèmes experts written by J. M. Karkan and published by . This book was released on 1993-01-01 with total page 153 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book excerpt: Western societies are calling for speedy change in agriculture and the agrifood industries to incorporate new quality criteria into the goods they produce. To promote these changes what scientists must develop are not universally implementable technical solutions, but self-diagnosis methods to be used by agricultural producers and their advisors. They also need to evolve new procedures for research intervention in collective organisations. There is a need for new individual and collective learning and organisation processes based on transdisciplinarity and co-learning among researchers, development professionals, decision makers and farmers. In this book, scientists from ten industrialised countries describe and reflect on their theoretical and practical experience of the different forms of learning they experimented with.
