Book Synopsis He comes, the Isles are living carelessly! by : Tony Smits B.Th and Ian Traill D. Min

This book was released on 2015-02-16 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As we approach a study of the Return of the Lord, let us realize that this is an important and vital truth for us, in the days in which we live. The Second Coming of the Lord is the most prominent doctrine in the Bible. v In the New Testament alone there are more than 300 references to the Second Coming of the Lord. v It is spoken of once in every 25 verses in the N.T. v In the Old Testament there are 20 times as many references to Christ’s Second Coming as there are to His first coming. v The Second Advent is mentioned twice as many times as the atonement. In the face of this strong testimony it is evident that the integrity of the entire Bible is inextricably woven into the promise of Christ’s Return. If He does not come again the Word of God is made a lie, human destiny will lack fulfilment, the consummation of God’s glory will be denied, and the very foundations of the universe will be uprooted (Mark 13:31)!
Book Synopsis Synergistic Evangelism by : Darrell W. Robinson
Download or read book Synergistic Evangelism written by Darrell W. Robinson and published by CrossBooks Publishing. This book was released on 2009-06 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Synergistic Evangelism grew out of Dr. Darrell Robinson's thorough study of the Evangelistic Techniques in the New Testament book of Acts. These practical techniques and principles were implemented across thirty-eight years of ministry as a pastor. His experience includes pastoring small and large churches, three new church plants, and leading plateaued and declining churches to significant evangelistic growth. These strategic principles are Biblical and practical. Because they are Biblical, they are eternal and universal. They never change. They are practical. They work anywhere. Their implementation will differ according to location, culture, and context, but can be meaningfully used to grow the church by reaching the lost for Christ. The five Biblical techniques presented in Synergistic Evangelism are: PUBLIC PROCLAMATION; CARING MINISTRY; EVENT ATTRACTION; GEOGRAPHIC SATURATION; and PERSONAL PRESENTATION. The church that dares to implement all five can become a healthy Spiritual Body of Christ. Church members will be Equipped and balanced Biblical Evangelism will happen. These five Techniques are Synergistic. Each enhances the effectiveness of the other. The end result will be maximum outreach to those who need Christ. America is in trouble because many of its churches have forsaken the basic principles and commission of our Lord Jesus Christ. Synergistic Evangelism is a call to churches to honor and practice the basics of the Great Commission of Christ.

Book Synopsis Pastoral Leadership by : Won Sang Lee
Download or read book Pastoral Leadership written by Won Sang Lee and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2015-01-14 with total page 212 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In ascending to heaven, Jesus Christ gave the church the Great Commission to expand the gospel to all nations. Despite this biblical commission, it is still an unfinished task. As leaders of local churches, pastors play a crucial part in this endeavor. Pastoral leadership principles have varied widely throughout history, yet it is interesting to discover the similarities between pastoral leadership principles practiced by John Chrysostom (AD 347-407) in Antioch and Constantinople, and Won Sang Lee (1937-) in Washington, DC. Despite ministering 1600 years apart, both pastors share the same core values: care for people, Christ-like character, biblical preaching, and world missions. This suggests that continued emphasis on these principles will play a significant role in fulfilling the Great Commission, independent of time and place.
Book Synopsis Like a Mighty Army by : David W Taylor
Download or read book Like a Mighty Army written by David W Taylor and published by James Clarke & Company. This book was released on 2015-02-26 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1937, prior to the 1948 inauguration of the World Council of Churches, Karl Barth challenged the churches to engage in 'real strict sober genuine theology' in order that the unity of the church might be visibly realized. At that time The Salvation Army didn't aspire to become formally known as a church, even though it was a founding member of the WCC. Today it is globally known as a social welfare organization, concerned especially to serve the needs of those who find themselves at the margins of society. Less well known is that seventy years after Barth's challenge it has made its peace with the view that it is a church denomination. Accepting Barth's challenge to the churches, and in dialogue with his own ecumenical ecclesiology, the concept of the church as an Army is interrogated, in service to The Salvation Army's developing understanding of its identity, and to the visible unity of God's church.
