The enemy is trying to steal away our peace, and finally destroy us, hoping we will turn away from God. 2Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who has nothing to be ashamed of, handling the word of truth with precision. (ISV) Here we see we are to study His Word, to be approved workers, which is right, but let us look at the second part of this statement. handling the word of truth with precision. The word precision has an implication of importance and we need to know how to handle it in our defence against the enemy. We need to understand the Word of God clearly, so that we can extinguish the fiery arrows of the enemy.

In the final chapter of this book I will be using reverse psychology to outline, in a satirical way, why you should NOT become a Christian.

Book Synopsis He comes, the Isles are living carelessly! by : Tony Smits B.Th and Ian Traill D. Min
Download or read book He comes, the Isles are living carelessly! written by Tony Smits B.Th and Ian Traill D. Min and published by Traillblazer Bookshop. This book was released on 2015-02-16 with total page 230 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As we approach a study of the Return of the Lord, let us realize that this is an important and vital truth for us, in the days in which we live. The Second Coming of the Lord is the most prominent doctrine in the Bible. v In the New Testament alone there are more than 300 references to the Second Coming of the Lord. v It is spoken of once in every 25 verses in the N.T. v In the Old Testament there are 20 times as many references to Christ’s Second Coming as there are to His first coming. v The Second Advent is mentioned twice as many times as the atonement. In the face of this strong testimony it is evident that the integrity of the entire Bible is inextricably woven into the promise of Christ’s Return. If He does not come again the Word of God is made a lie, human destiny will lack fulfilment, the consummation of God’s glory will be denied, and the very foundations of the universe will be uprooted (Mark 13:31)!

Book excerpt: As a result of the growing worldwide prayer movement, powerful changes have taken place in the Church and in scattered cities transformations beyond anything imaginable only a few years ago. Of the revelations to come out of this movement, perhaps the most dramatic and promising is the rediscovery of biblical principles for changing the spiritual climate over entire cities and regions. Fulfillment of the Great Commission is no longer a distant hope but rather is a fast-approaching reality for a Church that will take hold of and utilize the biblical principles for changing cities as described in "That All Should Hear." Book Synopsis Like a Mighty Army by : David W Taylor
Download or read book Like a Mighty Army written by David W Taylor and published by James Clarke & Company. This book was released on 2015-02-26 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1937, prior to the 1948 inauguration of the World Council of Churches, Karl Barth challenged the churches to engage in 'real strict sober genuine theology' in order that the unity of the church might be visibly realized. At that time The Salvation Army didn't aspire to become formally known as a church, even though it was a founding member of the WCC. Today it is globally known as a social welfare organization, concerned especially to serve the needs of those who find themselves at the margins of society. Less well known is that seventy years after Barth's challenge it has made its peace with the view that it is a church denomination. Accepting Barth's challenge to the churches, and in dialogue with his own ecumenical ecclesiology, the concept of the church as an Army is interrogated, in service to The Salvation Army's developing understanding of its identity, and to the visible unity of God's church.
