Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This Streamlining Advanced English is not intended as a textbook only, but rather as a companion to those who are still not satisfied with their ability to use and understand English, particularly in enriching the vocals, idioms, and structures, to pass the examination at the university level. The book is designed to give adequate reading material in an area of education, so then the readers may be well familiar with some terms, styles, and glossaries used in daily communication in this due regard. Thisismadebecausethemain the purpose of learning any language should be to communicate, either in speech or in writing, with other people anywhere in the world. It is mostly by our writing or speaking that we are judged by other persons meeting us for the first time in person, or reading letters from us, even if they have never met us at all before. The way we write and the way we speak are indications of our character. Knowledge, education, and ability are good things to have but if they have not taught us what is good and bad in writing and speaking then they have not really helped us. The care we take in gathering our knowledge and thoughts together and expressing them in words is the true indication of what kind of education and background we have had and also what sort of persons were. In this regard, the book presents some sections, include Reading Comprehension, Grammar, vocabulary, and usage as well as structure. The comprehension passages have been chosen for the interesting content, their rich vocabulary, and their varied styles. There is a balance between passages that are almost used to enrich the knowledge in education and which are used to introduce some aspects of character construction. In the grammar section, the readers are introduced to some grammatical expressions completed with their exercises, so the readers may improve their ability to recognize the truth from the wrong expression of English. The vocabulary and usage section is designed to give an example of what detailed language expressions must be mastered by the readers. And finally, some styles of language examination questions are also introduced at the end of the section for further measuring the reader's language competence. The intention of this simple book, no doubt is to streamline the spirit of learning English for the readers who have passed the level of intermediate, wishing to learn the advanced one. The writer firmly believes that they or one master this language the more he could make himself a dynamic and could play an important role in the next social life. Based on the fact that the English language at the time being is considered as a medium of science and technology development. It is the belief of the writer that once the mind of the reader is stimulated and interest created in him for this reading comprehension, he will find the joy of creation for himself which is the ultimate aim of the writer. At last, the writer is pleased and welcome any suggestions from the readers to further make up this very humble and writing presentation.
