Download or read book Now Here written by Elle Ellsworth and published by Archway Publishing. This book was released on 2023-11-13 with total page 89 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is no time but Now; and there is no place but Here...therefore you are Now Here. This book is a documented account and recollection of LIFE events and EXPERIENCES, shared in the hope that one may begin to remember who one truly is. Being duty-bound by GOD to share a personal account of one’s inner journal is truly a sign of transparency and hopefully attract the attention of the masses, because it is the masses who are “sleep-living” and don’t know that they are “sleep-living.” Sleep-living is a state of being like the walking dead. Day in and day out! The existence of humankind as we know it is gradually slipping away, because of its current trajectory. The lack of respect and care for the Earth is destroying the world and if humankind fails to change course, humankind will destroy the planet. There is a lot of work to do on a collective conscious level, and collectively, it can be done. There are already so many other precious souls who have stepped into their role of awareness and are doing their work. While others will continue to play their role in this earthly plane until they choose a different role that is better suited to fulfil a higher purpose for the mutual benefit of all. This shift in collective consciousness is not something that can be mandated or legislated. It must be a personal choice to desire a better state of being not only for oneself; but for everyone, as people, we are all connected; therefore, whatever affects one, affects ALL. Stop and take a look around; the state of being for the majority of people is not as one would like. Other forms of worldly rulers, governments, and organized religions who do not allow one to think for oneself, all have and play their major roles well. Everybody takes chances with human lives every day all day, nonstop, from all aspects of LIFE. This has to stop! This is the value that is placed on LIFE.... ah God.... ah Life.... THINK about this! What would be the difference, whether it’s God or Life? God being ALL in ALL and through ALL. People tend to view God in ways that are familiar and if and when God appears different from the times of old and the way people were accustomed to, people tend to dismiss events or experiences as being God; and therefore, miss God on so many levels. Open UP! Can’t confine God to be and act the same no matter how you try. He is the thing used to attempt to confine Him. So, stop doing that! God cannot be defined nor confined to any one thing. The one constant about God is, that he is always changing to adapt to the needs of His children.

Download or read book Till the End written by CC Sabathia and published by Roc Lit 101. This book was released on 2021-07-06 with total page 289 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: NATIONAL BESTSELLER • A raw, compelling memoir of baseball, family, fame, addiction, and recovery, by one of the most beloved baseball players of his generation “Beautifully rendered . . . Readers and fans will be rooting for him to enter the Hall of Fame and rooting even harder for him to stay sober.”—The Wall Street Journal How does it feel to be born with enormous gifts, in a life shadowed by tragedy? What does it mean when the gift that opens the world for us is not enough to stop us from losing the things we love? And what new gifts do we find in that loss? Baseball had been CC Sabathia’s life since he was a kid in gritty, baseball-obsessed Vallejo, California. He was a star by the time he was a preteen and a professional athlete when he was still a teenager. Everything he knew about how to be a person—an adult, a husband and father, a leader—he learned in rhythm with the baseball season, the every-fifth-day high-intensity spotlight of a starting pitcher, all while dealing with one of the sport’s most turbulent eras: racism in a sport with diminishing Black presence; the era of performance-enhancing drugs; and the increasing tension between high-value contracts and sports owners who moved players around like game pieces. But his biggest struggle was with his own body and mind: Buoyed his whole life by talent and a fiery competitive spirit, CC found himself dealing with the steady and eventually alarming breakdown of his own body and his growing addiction in a world that encouraged and enabled it. Till the End is the thrilling memoir of one of the most beloved players in the game, a veteran star of the sport’s marquee team during its latest championship era. It’s also a book about baseball—about the ins and outs of its most important and technical position and its evolution in this volatile era. But woven within it is the moving, universal story of resilience and mortality and discovering what matters.

Book Synopsis Streetball Is Life by : Paul Volponi
Download or read book Streetball Is Life written by Paul Volponi and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2020-10-07 with total page 205 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From award-winning young adult author Paul Volponi comes the true story of his unforgettable summer spent proving himself as a legitimate New York City streetballer, only later discovering that he had gained a set of skills that would enhance his life off the court, as well. During the sweltering summer of seventeen-year-old Paul Volponi’s life, he had only one goal—he wanted, no, needed to become a legitimate and respected New York City street basketball player. It was a passion that consumed him night and day, and at times even isolated him from his friends and family. So he entered through the gates of the Proving Ground, the roughest streetball yard in the city. It was a place where the fouls resembled felonies, and the atmosphere mirrored that of the Roman Coliseum more than Madison Square Garden. It was where teens and adults contested pickup games with a ferocity seemingly greater than that of the NBA Finals. The Proving Ground was a difficult place to cultivate friendships and an easy environment to make enemies. This is the story of Paul’s summer-long initiation at the Proving Ground. It is truly a streetball testament of a teenager who wanted more than anything else to earn his stripes in streetball society. Only what he didn’t understand at the time was that this experience would deliver to him, as it does today for so many young adults, a set of skills that would enhance his life far beyond the boundaries of a basketball court.
