Book Synopsis Almost Periodic Solutions of Differential Equations in Banach Spaces by : Yoshiyuki Hino
Download or read book Almost Periodic Solutions of Differential Equations in Banach Spaces written by Yoshiyuki Hino and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2001-10-25 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph presents recent developments in spectral conditions for the existence of periodic and almost periodic solutions of inhomogenous equations in Banach Spaces. Many of the results represent significant advances in this area. In particular, the authors systematically present a new approach based on the so-called evolution semigroups with an original decomposition technique. The book also extends classical techniques, such as fixed points and stability methods, to abstract functional differential equations with applications to partial functional differential equations. Almost Periodic Solutions of Differential Equations in Banach Spaces will appeal to anyone working in mathematical analysis.

Book Synopsis Geometrical Methods in the Theory of Ordinary Differential Equations by : V.I. Arnold
Download or read book Geometrical Methods in the Theory of Ordinary Differential Equations written by V.I. Arnold and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 366 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the first edition of this book, geometrical methods in the theory of ordinary differential equations have become very popular and some progress has been made partly with the help of computers. Much of this progress is represented in this revised, expanded edition, including such topics as the Feigenbaum universality of period doubling, the Zoladec solution, the Iljashenko proof, the Ecalle and Voronin theory, the Varchenko and Hovanski theorems, and the Neistadt theory. In the selection of material for this book, the author explains basic ideas and methods applicable to the study of differential equations. Special efforts were made to keep the basic ideas free from excessive technicalities. Thus the most fundamental questions are considered in great detail, while of the more special and difficult parts of the theory have the character of a survey. Consequently, the reader needs only a general mathematical knowledge to easily follow this text. It is directed to mathematicians, as well as all users of the theory of differential equations.

This book was released on 1985-12-19 with total page 349 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, we study theoretical and practical aspects of computing methods for mathematical modelling of nonlinear systems. A number of computing techniques are considered, such as methods of operator approximation with any given accuracy; operator interpolation techniques including a non-Lagrange interpolation; methods of system representation subject to constraints associated with concepts of causality, memory and stationarity; methods of system representation with an accuracy that is the best within a given class of models; methods of covariance matrix estimation;methods for low-rank matrix approximations; hybrid methods based on a combination of iterative procedures and best operator approximation; andmethods for information compression and filtering under condition that a filter model should satisfy restrictions associated with causality and different types of memory. As a result, the book represents a blend of new methods in general computational analysis, and specific, but also generic, techniques for study of systems theory ant its particularbranches, such as optimal filtering and information compression.- Best operator approximation,- Non-Lagrange interpolation,- Generic Karhunen-Loeve transform- Generalised low-rank matrix approximation- Optimal data compression- Optimal nonlinear filtering

Book Synopsis Stochastic Stability of Differential Equations by : Rafail Khasminskii
Download or read book Stochastic Stability of Differential Equations written by Rafail Khasminskii and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-09-20 with total page 353 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the publication of the first edition of the present volume in 1980, the stochastic stability of differential equations has become a very popular subject of research in mathematics and engineering. To date exact formulas for the Lyapunov exponent, the criteria for the moment and almost sure stability, and for the existence of stationary and periodic solutions of stochastic differential equations have been widely used in the literature. In this updated volume readers will find important new results on the moment Lyapunov exponent, stability index and some other fields, obtained after publication of the first edition, and a significantly expanded bibliography. This volume provides a solid foundation for students in graduate courses in mathematics and its applications. It is also useful for those researchers who would like to learn more about this subject, to start their research in this area or to study the properties of concrete mechanical systems subjected to random perturbations.
Book Synopsis Abstract Differential Equations by : Samuel Zaidman
Download or read book Abstract Differential Equations written by Samuel Zaidman and published by San Francisco : Pitman Advanced Pub. Program. This book was released on 1979 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph deals with linear differential equations in Banach and Hilbert spaces whose coefficients are linear unbounded operators. Looking for examples or applications, the most natural ones are found in the theory of partial differential equations: if to one of the variables is given a privilegiate position and all the others are put together obtains 'at once' an ordinary 'differential' equation with respect to the variable. Adding boundary conditions in order to ensure definiteness of the solutions can often be translated in terms of considering solutions in some convenient linear--often normed--function spaces.

Book Synopsis Functional and Impulsive Differential Equations of Fractional Order by : Ivanka Stamova
Download or read book Functional and Impulsive Differential Equations of Fractional Order written by Ivanka Stamova and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2017-03-03 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book presents qualitative results for different classes of fractional equations, including fractional functional differential equations, fractional impulsive differential equations, and fractional impulsive functional differential equations, which have not been covered by other books. It manifests different constructive methods by demonstrating how these techniques can be applied to investigate qualitative properties of the solutions of fractional systems. Since many applications have been included, the demonstrated techniques and models can be used in training students in mathematical modeling and in the study and development of fractional-order models.
Book Synopsis Theory of Functional Differential Equations by : Jack K. Hale
Download or read book Theory of Functional Differential Equations written by Jack K. Hale and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 374 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the publication of my lecture notes, Functional Differential Equations in the Applied Mathematical Sciences series, many new developments have occurred. As a consequence, it was decided not to make a few corrections and additions for a second edition of those notes, but to present a more compre hensive theory. The present work attempts to consolidate those elements of the theory which have stabilized and also to include recent directions of research. The following chapters were not discussed in my original notes. Chapter 1 is an elementary presentation of linear differential difference equations with constant coefficients of retarded and neutral type. Chapter 4 develops the recent theory of dissipative systems. Chapter 9 is a new chapter on perturbed systems. Chapter 11 is a new presentation incorporating recent results on the existence of periodic solutions of autonomous equations. Chapter 12 is devoted entirely to neutral equations. Chapter 13 gives an introduction to the global and generic theory. There is also an appendix on the location of the zeros of characteristic polynomials. The remainder of the material has been completely revised and updated with the most significant changes occurring in Chapter 3 on the properties of solutions, Chapter 5 on stability, and Chapter lOon behavior near a periodic orbit.
