Book Synopsis Stabilization Problems with Constraints by : Vladimir A Bushenkov
Download or read book Stabilization Problems with Constraints written by Vladimir A Bushenkov and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2021-12-17 with total page 302 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Presents and demonstrates stabilizer design techniques that can be used to solve stabilization problems with constraints. These methods have their origins in convex programming and stability theory. However, to provide a practical capability in stabilizer design, the methods are tailored to the special features and needs of this field. Hence, the main emphasis of this book is on the methods of stabilization, rather than optimization and stability theory. The text is divided into three parts. Part I contains some background material. Part II is devoted to behavior of control systems, taking examples from mechanics to illustrate the theory. Finally, Part III deals with nonlocal stabilization problems, including a study of the global stabilization problem.

Book Synopsis Advances in Intelligent Systems by : Francesco Carlo Morabito
Download or read book Advances in Intelligent Systems written by Francesco Carlo Morabito and published by IOS Press. This book was released on 1997 with total page 566 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Intelligent Systems can be defined as systems whose design, mainly based on computational techniques, is supported, in some parts, by operations and processing skills inspired by human reasoning and behaviour. Intelligent Systems must typically operate in a scenario in which non-linearities are the rule and not as a disturbing effect to be corrected. Finally, Intelligent Systems also have to incorporate advanced sensory technology in order to simplify man-machine interactions. Several algorithms are currently the ordinary tools of Intelligent Systems. This book contains a selection of contributions regarding Intelligent Systems by experts in diverse fields. Topics discussed in the book are: Applications of Intelligent Systems in Modelling and Prediction of Environmental Changes, Cellular Neural Networks for NonLinear Filtering, NNs for Signal Processing, Image Processing, Transportation Intelligent Systems, Intelligent Techniques in Power Electronics, Applications in Medicine and Surgery, Hardware Implementation and Learning of NNs.

Book Synopsis Stability Domains by : Lyubomir T. Gruyitch
Download or read book Stability Domains written by Lyubomir T. Gruyitch and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2003-12-15 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Stability Domains is an up-to-date account of stability theory with particular emphasis on stability domains. Beyond the fundamental basis of the theory of dynamical systems, it includes recent developments in the classical Lyapunov stability concept, practical stabiliy properties, and a new Lyapunov methodology for nonlinear systems. It also introduces classical Lyapunov and practical stability theory for time-invariant nonlinear systems in general and for complex (interconnected, large scale) nonlinear dynamical systems in particular. This is a complete treatment of the theory of stability domains useful for postgraduates and researchers working in this area of applied mathematics and engineering.

Book Synopsis Optimization with PDE Constraints by : Ronald Hoppe
Download or read book Optimization with PDE Constraints written by Ronald Hoppe and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-09-11 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book on PDE Constrained Optimization contains contributions on the mathematical analysis and numerical solution of constrained optimal control and optimization problems where a partial differential equation (PDE) or a system of PDEs appears as an essential part of the constraints. The appropriate treatment of such problems requires a fundamental understanding of the subtle interplay between optimization in function spaces and numerical discretization techniques and relies on advanced methodologies from the theory of PDEs and numerical analysis as well as scientific computing. The contributions reflect the work of the European Science Foundation Networking Programme ’Optimization with PDEs’ (OPTPDE).

Book Synopsis Asymptotic Behavior and Stability Problems in Ordinary Differential Equations by : Lamberto Cesari
Download or read book Asymptotic Behavior and Stability Problems in Ordinary Differential Equations written by Lamberto Cesari and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the last few decades the theory of ordinary differential equations has grown rapidly under the action of forces which have been working both from within and without: from within, as a development and deepen ing of the concepts and of the topological and analytical methods brought about by LYAPUNOV, POINCARE, BENDIXSON, and a few others at the turn of the century; from without, in the wake of the technological development, particularly in communications, servomechanisms, auto matic controls, and electronics. The early research of the authors just mentioned lay in challenging problems of astronomy, but the line of thought thus produced found the most impressive applications in the new fields. The body of research now accumulated is overwhelming, and many books and reports have appeared on one or another of the multiple aspects of the new line of research which some authors call" qualitative theory of differential equations". The purpose of the present volume is to present many of the view points and questions in a readable short report for which completeness is not claimed. The bibliographical notes in each section are intended to be a guide to more detailed expositions and to the original papers. Some traditional topics such as the Sturm comparison theory have been omitted. Also excluded were all those papers, dealing with special differential equations motivated by and intended for the applications.
