This book was released on 1993 with total page 103 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: CETTE THESE SE COMPOSE EN DEUX PARTIES. UNE PREMIERE PARTIE EST CONSACREE A LA STABILISATION DES SYSTEMES MECANIQUES DEPENDANT D'UN PARAMETRE. LES SYSTEMES PRESENTENT UNE BIFURCATION FOURCHE DE CODIMENSION 2 AU VOISINAGE D'UNE VALEUR DITE CRITIQUE DU PARAMETRE, DE PLUS LE LINEARISE TANGENT DEVIENT NON COMMANDABLE. NOUS PROPOSONS UN ALGORITHME DE STABILISATION POUR CETTE VALEUR DU PARAMETRE. LE RESULTAT EST ILLUSTRE SUR DEUX EXEMPLES, LE CAS D'UN PENDULE SIMPLE INVERSE AVEC FLEXIBILITE ET LE CAS D'UN DOUBLE PENDULE AVEC FLEXIBILITE LOCALISEE ENTRE LES DEUX PENDULES. LA SECONDE PARTIE EST CONSACREE A L'ETUDE DE LA COMMANDE D'UN ROBOT HYDRAULIQUE. NOUS PROPOSONS PLUSIEURS ALGORITHMES DE COMMANDE NON LINEAIRE, ESSENTIELLEMENT BASES SUR LES TECHNIQUES DE PERTURBATIONS SINGULIERES. NOUS TRAITONS DEUX CAS: LE CAS OU ON MESURE TOUT L'ETAT DU SYSTEME ET LE CAS D'UN BOUCLAGE DYNAMIQUE DE SORTIES. DANS CHAQUE CAS, NOUS TRAITONS DEUX PROBLEMES: LE PROBLEME DE LA STABILISATION ET LE PROBLEME D'UNE POURSUITE DE TRAJECTOIRE. SUR CE ROBOT, SEULES LES POSITIONS ARTICULAIRES ET LES PRESSIONS SONT DIRECTEMENT MESUREES. DANS LE CAS DE BOUCLAGES DYNAMIQUES DE SORTIES, NOUS ETENDONS UN RESULTAT A PARTIR DES TECHNIQUES DE PASSIVITE QUI CONDUIT A UN OBSERVATEUR NON LINEAIRE DES VITESSES ARTICULAIRES QUE NOUS COMPARERONS A UN OBSERVATEUR REDUIT LINEAIRE A GRAND GAIN. DES RESULTATS DE SIMULATIONS SONT DONNES POUR ILLUSTRER CHAQUE CAS

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DETERMINER UNE LOI DE COMMANDE PAR RETOUR D'ETAT PERMETTANT DE STABILISER UNE CLASSE DE SYSTEMES MECANIQUES NON HOLONOMES EST L'OBJET DE CETTE THESE. L'INTERET PARTICULIER POUR LES SYSTEMES AVEC CONTRAINTES NON HOLONOMES S'EXPLIQUE PAR DEUX FAITS ESSENTIELS. D'UNE PART, CES SYSTEMES TROUVENT DE NOMBREUSES APPLICATIONS DANS LE DOMAINE INDUSTRIEL, ET D'AUTRE PART ILS PRESENTENT UNE SINGULARITE QUI NE PERMET PAS L'UTILISATION DES METHODES CLASSIQUES DE STABILISATION. EN EFFET, LES SYSTEMES NONHOLONOMES, BIEN QUE COMMANDABLES, NE SONT PAS ASYMPTOTIQUEMENT STABILISABLES PAR RETOUR D'ETAT CONTINU STATIONNAIRE. C'EST AINSI QUE DE NOMBREUSES STRATEGIES POUR LA STABILISATION DE CES SYSTEMES ONT EMMERGE. ON RETROUVE DEUX ALTERNATIVES PREPONDERANTES: ? STABILISATION PAR RETOUR D'ETAT INSTATIONNAIRE (LA VARIABLE TEMPS APPARAIT EXPLICITEMENT DANS L'EXPRESSION DE LA COMMANDE) ? STABILISATION PAR RETOUR D'ETAT DISCONTINU. TOUT D'ABORD, NOUS PROPOSONS UNE APPROCHE PERMETTANT DE STABILISER DE FACON DISCONTINUE UNE CLASSE DE SYSTEMES NON HOLONOMES CINEMATIQUES OU DYNAMIQUES MIS SOUS FORME CANONIQUE. LA CONVERGENCE OBTENUE EST EXPONENTIELLE ET L'APPROCHE PROPOSEE EST BASEE SUR LA DETERMINATION DE VARIETES INVARIANTES QUE L'ON S'ATTACHE A RENDRE ATTRACTIVES. DE NOMBREUX EXEMPLES SONT TRAITES ET LA ROBUSTESSE EST ANALYSEE DANS LE CAS DU ROBOT MOBILE. ENSUITE, NOUS NOUS INTERESSONS A LA STABILISATION INSTATIONNAIRE D'UN SYSTEME, LE COUTEAU TRANCHANT, N'AYANT PAS SUBI DE TRANSFORMATION. ENFIN, LA STABILISATION AU MOYEN D'UNE COMMANDE BASEE SUR LE SYSTEME ECHANTILLONNE POWER FORM EST PROPOSEE

Book excerpt: "The general aim of this book is to establish and study the relations that exist, via dynamic programming, between, on the one hand, stochastic control, and on the other hand variational and quasi-variational inequalities, with the intention of obtaining constructive methods of solution by numerical methods. It begins with numerous examples which occur in applications and goes on to study, from an analytical viewpoint, both elliptic and parabolic quasi-variational inequalities. Finally the authors reconstruct an optimal control starting from the solution of the quasi-variational inequality."--Amazon.

Book excerpt: Introduction to Avionic Systems, Second Edition explains the principles and theory of modern avionic systems and how they are implemented with current technology for both civil and military aircraft. The systems are analysed mathematically, where appropriate, so that the design and performance can be understood. The book covers displays and man-machine interaction, aerodynamics and aircraft control, fly-by-wire flight control, inertial sensors and attitude derivation, navigation systems, air data and air data systems, autopilots and flight management systems, avionic systems integration and unmanned air vehicles. About the Author. Dick Collinson has had "hands-on" experience of most of the systems covered in this book and, as Manager of the Flight Automation Research Laboratory of GEC-Marconi Avionics Ltd. (now part of BAE Systems Ltd.), led the avionics research activities for the company at Rochester, Kent for many years. He was awarded the Silver Medal of the Royal Aeronautical Society in 1989 for his contribution to avionic systems research and development.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These ten lectures were presented by Guido Weiss at the University of Nebraska during the week of May 31 to June 4, 1976. They were a part of the Regional Conference Program sponsored by the Conference Board of the Mathematical Sciences and funded by the National Science Foundation. The topic chosen, ``the transference method'', involves a very simple idea that can be applied to several different branches of analysis. The authors have chosen familiar special cases in order to illustrate the use of transference: much that involves general locally compact abelian groups can be understood by examining the real line; the group of rotations can be used to explain what can be done with compact groups; $SL(2,\mathbf C)$ plays the same role vis-a-vis noncompact semisimple Lie groups. The main theme of these lectures is the interplay between properties of convolution operators on classical groups (such as the reals, integers, the torus) and operators associated with more general measure spaces. The basic idea behind this interplay is the notion of transferred operator; these are operators ``obtained'' from convolutions by replacing the translation by some action of the group (or, in some cases, a semigroup) and give rise, among other things, to an interaction between ergodic theory and harmonic analysis. There are illustrations of these ideas. A graduate student in analysis would be able to read most of this book. The work is partly expository, but is mostly ``self-contained''.
