This book was released on 2021-07-22 with total page 263 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There is so much information on sleep out there and yet people still can’t get good sleep. Why is this? And equally important, how can we definitively change this? Let’s consider some issues missing or won’t find often or at all in the sleep advice world: ① Most if not all sleep expert information simply will disregard or brush by this area of fluctuating sleep cycles that don’t need to be fixed but worked with. I am suggesting it is worthy to explore different sleep schedules. Perhaps you go with the flow of your own body’s cycle instead of trying to conform to ill-informed societal standards instead. And ② Mind and specifically spirit are often ignored, minimized, or dismissed when it comes to explaining sleep’s purpose, the reason for dreams and overall human health. ③ The term “sleep hygiene” is being used wrongfully to describe what we really need and that is the power of sensory-fueled rituals that gently brings us to the state most conducive to deep, quality, and restorative sleep. Your Sleep Sweet Spot is a sleep routine, ritual, space design, schedule, and philosophy that implements bio-individuality. It provides you the best, most restorative sleep, optimal restoration, balance, and vital energy for your unique sleep cycle—nocturnal, diurnal, or alternative shift sleeper. It considers your specific physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs. It also considers environmental, technological advances, and global interconnection, using what works and upgrading it to adjust with ongoing changes.★ Why are we experiencing so many problems associated with this essential need? These could range from chronic exhaustion, nightmares, sleep apnea, pain, insomnia, sleep paralysis, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, inflammation, pain, cancer, mental impairments, mood disorders, increased accidents, emotional distress, pre-mature aging, and many more diseases and effects we are only discovering today. The core of my contribution to this work on sleep is that a person’s requirements for restorative sleep are as unique (bio-individual) as their DNA or fingerprint. Every guideline, suggestion, or technique has to be customized to your very unique need. Millions of people who need more sleep, while some can function with less sleep, and others need to break up their sleep cycle, for one reason or another, are left to flail because a) We are getting useless one-fits-all advice and information on sleep that isn’t working; b) And we feel as if we are doing something wrong, experiencing judgment from professionals, family, and society as a whole. This is not a body of work that gives you techniques that will provide you with a normal sleep schedule. This is because sleep is specific to each person, there is no such thing as normal when it comes to sleep. This is a project that helps you find your unique Sweet Sleep Spot. ★To find your sweet sleep spot, you need to know more about what sleep and dreams are, why you need them, and how to design your own sleep life with the right information and tools.◆ This work is my contribution to this cause to the awakening power of sleep and dreams. It includes personal experiences, research, theories, intuitive and philosophical introspection. Let’s see what we know about sleep and dreams and upgrade it to work better. With this book you will also get from the author from her site at no cost: ◆ A full Sleep Reference Guide ◆ A Mindfulness Guide ◆ A Forming New Habits Resource Guide ◆ An Alternative Health Resource Guide ◆ A Dream Interpretation Guide ◆ Free sleep and relaxation videos via YouTube Ready to transform your life? Book excerpt: This book helps you discover the cables, ropes, ribbons, strands, threads, and filaments of energy that flow to and through you. By learning ancient shamanic techniques, you’ll learn how to release the cords that bind you and empower the strands that strengthen and heal you. Some energy strands allow us to feel vibrant and alive. Others deplete and weaken us. Most people are unaware of these energy strands, but they can feel them on a subconscious level. In Energy Strands, Denise Linn shares some of the methods she’s learned over the years to support you in finding harmony and balance in your life through understanding these lines of energy. Topics covered include attachments with family, ancestors, friends, lovers, crowds, and pets. Energy Strands also explores the connection between sound (crystal bowls), breath, meditation, and visualization in strands. You will gain practical tools to clear negative cords from unhealthy attachments, toxic relationships, and spaces. "Discovering and releasing the energy cords that don’t empower you is a voyage of letting go . . . and stepping into the flow of life."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the beginning of civilization, the origins of the Earth and Moon have been the subjects of continuing interest, speculation, and enquiry. These are also among the most challenging of all scientific problems. They are, perhaps to a unique degree, interdisciplinary, having attracted the attention of philosophers, astronomers, mathematicians, geologists, chemists, and physicists. A large and diverse literature has developed, far beyond the capacity of individuals to assimilate adequately. Consequently, most of those who attempt to present review-syntheses in the area tend to reflect the perspectives of their own particular disciplines. The present author's approach is that of a geochemist, strongly influenced by the basic phil osophy of Harold Urey. Whereas most astronomical phenomena are controlled by gravitational and magnetic fields, and by nuclear interactions, Urey (1952) emphasized that the formation of the solar system occurred in a pressure-temperature regime wherein the chemical properties of matter were at least as important as those of gravitational and magnetic fields. This was the principal theme of his 1952 book, "The Planets," which revolutionized our approach to this subject. In many subsequent papers, Urey strongly emphasized the importance of meteorites in providing critical evidence of chemical conditions in the primordial solar nebula, and of the chemical fractionation processes which occurred during formation of the terrestrial planets. This approach has been followed by most subsequent geochemists and cosmochemists.

Book excerpt: A Publishers Weekly Best Book of the Year * An ALA Rainbow Book List Top 10 Title for Young Readers Three kids who don’t belong. A room that shouldn’t exist. A year that will change everything. Perfect for fans of Rebecca Stead and Meg Medina, this debut middle grade novel from award-winning author Mark Oshiro is a hopeful and heartfelt coming-of-age story for anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t fit in. San Francisco and Orangevale may be in the same state, but for Héctor Muñoz, they might as well be a million miles apart. Back home, being gay didn’t mean feeling different. At Héctor’s new school, he couldn’t feel more alone. Most days, Héctor just wishes he could disappear. And he does. Right into the janitor’s closet. (Yes, he sees the irony.) But one day, when the door closes behind him, Héctor discovers he’s stumbled into a room that shouldn’t be possible. A room that connects him with two new friends from different corners of the country—and opens the door to a life-changing year full of friendship, adventure, and just a little bit of magic. “Sometimes hilarious, sometimes devastating, but always full of heart, The Insiders carves out a space for us all to be our true selves.” —Kwame Mbalia, New York Times bestselling author of Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky
