Die Soziale Arbeit greift in Lebenssituationen, in denen Menschen Schweres geleistet haben. Ihr pädagogischer Arbeitsalltag wird ständig begleitet von traumatischen Erfahrungen der Betroffenen, sodass ein Ausschluss der Traumatisierungen von der Sozialen Arbeit nicht wegzudenken ist. Angesichts der steigenden Vernachlässigungs-, Missbrauchs- und Misshandlungserfahrungen von Kindern und Jugendlichen wächst also neben den therapeutischen Verfahren auch die Nachfrage nach traumabasierten pädagogischen Handlungsmöglichkeiten. Diese Möglichkeiten, welche zur Bewältigung traumatischer Erlebnisse auf pädagogischer Ebene beitragen, und somit den Heilungsprozess der betroffenen Kinder und Jugendlichen aktivieren, möchte ich in meiner Hausarbeit erläutern. Zunächst werde ich auf das Thema „Trauma“ im Allgemeinen und insbesondere auf die schwerwiegenden Ursachen im sozialen Nahbereich eingehen. Anschließend stelle ich die möglichen Folgeerscheinungen dar. Dieses Wissen ist notwendig, um die nachfolgenden Punkte des zentralen Themas der Traumapädagogik und ihre Interventionsmöglichkeiten besser nachvollziehen zu können und diese von den therapeutischen Verfahren zu unterscheiden. Neben den grundlegenden Haltung der Traumapädagogik gehe ich ferner auf den Begriff der Bindung im traumatischen Kontext ein, um die Bedeutung für pädagogisches Handeln zu verdeutlichen.

Denn jede noch so gute Psychotherapie hat wenig Nutzen ohne padagogische Begleitung. Hier ist das Aufgabengebiet der Sozialen Arbeit gefragt. Damit bestimmte Verhaltensweisen von Kindern, die sexuelle Gewalt erlebt haben und traumatisiert sind, verstanden und nicht als personlicher Angriff gedeutet werden, ist bestimmtes Wissen uber die Thematik von besonderer Bedeutung.
