Book excerpt: The Federal government, through criminal intent on behalf of the tyrannical owners of the Federal Reserve, alongside faulty regulation contrived by Congressional greed, and the endemic weakness of corruption, caused the economic collapse of 2008 by creating conditions favorable to the rampant spending, exorbitant debt, greed, and immoral monetary manipulation by those participatory in the global fi nancial system. The elite controlled media aided and abetted every step of the toxic downfall, since 1976, when this grandiose plan began unfolding under the hapless Jimmy Carter (Obama I). The global takeover was planned about 100 years ago, and it took two depressions and two world wars for the establishments plan to materialize. In 2010, Chairman Comrade Obama and his arrogant Comrades (referred to as our elected Congress) are preparing to shove the banking cakes illegal frosting rudely down the already dry throats of the American people. If the sheeple have any thought process remaining after the 100-year onslaught of American miss-education they will choke and choke mightily on this poisonous frosting. The vacuous, though vociferous public thrashing by our cowardly Congress and the deceitful White House of the big international banks is nothing more than cheap seat entertainment for the uninformed American voter. The practical purpose of financial reform under the guise of protecting the taxpayer is to transfer all banking risk to the fatuous taxpayer forever, along with creating a governmental machine to be used for legally crushing unwanted competition for the international financial elite. You might say, without exaggeration, that Obamas financial reform, and other Marxist policies are the final nails in your American freedom coffi n. It is the end of the American Dream.

Book excerpt: This is a bonus book, which represents the Bit coiners and Blockchains intentions to replace the banksters and their seven Sins with the "magic of the blockchain"... This book will look at how the Sheeple delusions have introduced a new range of rent seeking activities which potentially have a more detrimental effect on society than the banksters original Sins... Imagine an economic clutz, that hard-coded an economic planning computer program to reduce the world inhabitants collectively generated divided by $12.50 every 10 minutes independent of any economic activity or human choice? Irrespective of how productive and skilled the labour force became or how large the labour force grew, the productive output would remain fixed and static with the no change possible as the "code is law". How many people would volunteer to live and work in such a “Dystopian” world? Turns out this is the reality of the bitcoin faithful “who exist inside Bitcoinland". Enjoy the shared delusions of the Sheeple...

When Bucky learns an awful secret, he attempts to warn the sheep of his flock of the true intentions of the shepherd and the dog who watch over them. But the sheep think and speak in simple sheepisms and are unable to accept or believe what he has to tell them. One old ram, the black sheep of the flock, believes him. He tells young Bucky of a mythical ram named Zeus and his flock of wild sheep who live in freedom on Liberty Mountain. The two sheep must decide whether to remain with the flock or escape. The decision is made and they set out into the wild in search of Zeus and his wild sheep. A harrowing odyssey ensues. Gus Flory's THE SHEEPLE is an epic tale of adventure sure to capture the imagination of the young and not so young alike.

Book excerpt: Garth Turner was the first politician in Canada, possibly the world, to be dooced-fired for his web site. For his blunt online honesty the Member of Parliament was, in turn, reviled, shunned, humiliated and lauded as the future of politics. This is the fascinating, unique and boldly-written first person account of politics at the crossroads-democracy unleashed on the Internet versus a cabal of operators and old-school, backroom manipulators in Stephen Harper's Ottawa whose task it was to contain, control and mould public opinion. In the two years leading up to the pivotal 2008 federal election, Turner was in a unique position to witness and take part in the battle for the minds of voters, first as a member of Harper's caucus and then as an observer of Stéphane Dion's leadership as special advisor for the opposition. In this, his first political book, Turner chronicles his experiences in the rising tide of the blogosphere, its dangers and the monumental clash he experienced with the political establishment. Clarification At page 65 of Sheeple, the author makes reference to The Canadian Press running a story about the Prime Minister receiving a standing ovation in caucus after re-iterating that he would not allow the Peace Tower flag to be flown at half-mast when combat deaths took place in Afghanistan. The author never discusssed this or any other issue with the Ottawa bureau chief. The author's comments were meant to reflect the fact that leaked information from confidential sources within a caucus is not verifiable in the sense that its truth cannot be definitely ascertained, but Mr. Turner accepts the assertion by The Canadian Press that this story and all Canadian Press stories that use anonymous sources are double-sourced and cleared for publication by a senior editor. Mr. Turner has enormous respect for The Canadian Press and at no time was intending to suggest that it acted improperly.

The people who are so absorbed just trying to fulfill their emotional and financial desires. Have they been blinded by stress to a point to where they lack awareness of what it truly means to be conscious? In a world that is increasingly advancing in technology and science, Val Iggy's, Sheeple takes on a philosophical objective that challenges the pursuit of ignorant complacency. An idea that prohibits individual thinking and self-perfection due to seemingly uncontrollable human behavior.Sheeple: An Insight On The Human Consciousness, evaluates the group of people that settle for mediocrity and contentment as they sacrifice what it truly means to touch the miracle of being "alive", on an account of stress and inconvenience. With basic knowledge of psychology, philosophy, and social awareness, anyone can pick up this simple guide that discusses the complex, yet recognizable patterns that are displayed among the people around us who choose to live a life of security and conformity rather than personal improvement.

Book excerpt: In this ground breaking book, Anne Wayman, clean and sober for almost 25 years and with multiple works published by Hazelden, explores two myths that grown up in the 12 Step movement: never-ending recovery, and perpetual powerlessness. Convinced that the 12 Steps offer the best chance for lasting recovery, she challenges the movement to acknowledge the fear behind the myths, and let them go so that the Program can reach its full potential. Working from original source material, she explains the nature and development of the myths. She documents the damage they do to individuals and the movement as a whole, including its relative failure in areas of poverty where it is most needed. With true compassion and understanding she shows exactly what 12 Steppers need to do to let go of the myths, and become Powerfully Recovered, as the original Program intended. "It's about time!" Bruce K. "Powerfully Recovered! has helped me articulate something I've been feeling for years." Kathy B. "This book makes a powerful and positive difference for anyone in any 12 Step Program." Book excerpt: A groundbreaking manifesto about what our nation’s top schools should be—but aren’t—providing: “The ex-Yale professor effectively skewers elite colleges, their brainy but soulless students (those ‘sheep’), pushy parents, and admissions mayhem” (People). As a professor at Yale, William Deresiewicz saw something that troubled him deeply. His students, some of the nation’s brightest minds, were adrift when it came to the big questions: how to think critically and creatively and how to find a sense of purpose. Now he argues that elite colleges are turning out conformists without a compass. Excellent Sheep takes a sharp look at the high-pressure conveyor belt that begins with parents and counselors who demand perfect grades and culminates in the skewed applications Deresiewicz saw firsthand as a member of Yale’s admissions committee. As schools shift focus from the humanities to “practical” subjects like economics, students are losing the ability to think independently. It is essential, says Deresiewicz, that college be a time for self-discovery when students can establish their own values and measures of success in order to forge their own paths. He features quotes from real students and graduates he has corresponded with over the years, candidly exposing where the system is broken and offering clear solutions on how to fix it. “Excellent Sheep is likely to make…a lasting mark….He takes aim at just about the entirety of upper-middle-class life in America….Mr. Deresiewicz’s book is packed full of what he wants more of in American life: passionate weirdness” (The New York Times).

Book excerpt: From the highly acclaimed author of Bad Day in Blackrock – inspiration for the 2012 award-winning film What Richard Did, directed by Lenny Abrahamson... ? Shortlisted for the 2021 An Post Irish Book Awards Eason Novel of the Year... A darkly funny, gripping and profoundly moving novel about a life spinning out of control, a life live without the bedrock of familial love, and the corruption of material wealth that tears at the soul. ‘It was my father’s arrest that brought me here, although you could certainly say that I took the scenic route.’ Here is rehab, where Ben – the only son of a rich South Dublin banker – is piecing together the shattered remains of his life. Abruptly cut off, at the age of 27, from a life of heedless privilege, Ben flounders through a world of drugs and dead-end jobs, his self-esteem at rock bottom. Even his once-adoring girlfriend, Clio, is at the end of her tether. Then Ben runs into an old school friend who wants to cut him in on a scam: a shady property deal in the Balkans. The deal will make Ben rich and, at one fell swoop, will deliver him from all his troubles: his addictions, his father’s very public disgrace, and his own self-loathing and regret. Problems solved. But something is amiss. For one thing, the Serbian partners don’t exactly look like fools. (In fact they look like gangsters.) And, for another, Ben is being followed everywhere he goes. Someone is being taken for a ride. But who? Book excerpt: In Give Me Liberty: A Handbook for American Revolutionaries, bestselling author Naomi Wolf illustrates the changes that can take place when ordinary citizens engage in the democratic system the way the founders intended and tells how to use that system, right now, to change your life, your community, and ultimately, the nation. As the practice of democracy becomes a lost art, Americans are increasingly desperate for a restored nation. Many have a general sense that the “system” is in disorder—if not on the road to functional collapse. But though it is easy to identify our political problems, the solutions are not always as clear. In Give Me Liberty: A Handbook for American Revolutionaries, bestselling author Naomi Wolf illustrates the breathtaking changes that can take place when ordinary citizens engage in the democratic system the way the founders intended and tells how to use that system, right now, to change your life, your community, and ultimately, the nation.

Named a BEST BOOK OF THE MONTH by GQ. “Echoing work by Marge Piercy and Margaret Atwood, The Unit is as thought-provoking as it is compulsively readable.” —Jessica Crispin, NPR.org Ninni Holmqvist’s uncanny dystopian novel envisions a society in the not-so-distant future, where women over fifty and men over sixty who are unmarried and childless are sent to a retirement community called the Unit. They’re given lavish apartments set amongst beautiful gardens and state-of-the-art facilities; they’re fed elaborate gourmet meals, surrounded by others just like them. It’s an idyllic place, but there’s a catch: the residents—known as dispensables—must donate their organs, one by one, until the final donation. When Dorrit Weger arrives at the Unit, she resigns herself to this fate, seeking only peace in her final days. But she soon falls in love, and this unexpected, improbable happiness throws the future into doubt.

Defined in the Oxford dictionary as: Sheeple /'?i?p(?)l/ n. - people compared to sheep in being docile, foolish, or easily led. "By the time the sheeple wake up and try to change things, it will be too late!" Sheeple are starting to awaken from their deep slumber and seeing the cracks in the system. Once their sleepy eyes become accustomed to the light of awakening, they start to panic as they realize what's about to happen if things don't change. Now before you follow through on a knee-jerk reaction and flee the flock to swim upstream and become an anti-social-media-campaigner-vegan with aspirations of living off the land in a polyamorous commune - hold up and read on! I want you to ask yourself this? How do you know if you're actually a sheep? Sound crazy? Not at all! You see, wanting to become an environmental commune-living vegan, is you just being a sheep escaping one flock in exchange for another. And yes, of course, one flock is much more aspirational and forward-thinking than the other, BUT the most important question is: "If not a sheep, what animal lurks within me?" Waking up to one authentic self and the purpose it crowns itself with, is the most pivotal journey we all should be on during this time of transition. This book endeavors to do just that! Compiled for very hands-on people with an openness for the new. If you have a deep yearning to unlock your true potential through playful experiments, then you're in for a treat. I warm-heartedly welcome you to your coming-of-age! An epic journey with the prospect of sowing the seeds of profound systemic change at an individual level. Becoming the change we want to see will inevitably put our species' right-of-passage back on track, one community at a time. READ ME!

Book excerpt: As the fifth full year of America's global war on terrorism continues, statistics concerning terrorist attacks show a disturbing trend: from a twenty-one-year high in 2003, attacks tripled in 2004 and then doubled in 2005. And as the incidence of terrorist attacks increased, so has the number of terrorists. While the primary leaders of the Taliban, al Qaeda, and al Qaeda in Iraq remain at large, a 2006 Department of Defense study reportedly identified thirty new al Qaeda-affiliated terrorist groups that have been created since September 11, 2001. We may not have metrics that measure our success in the war on terrorism, but these realities certainly illuminate our failures. In Thinking Like a Terrorist, former FBI counterterrorism agent Mike German contends that the overarching problem is a fundamental failure to understand the terrorists-namely, what they want and how they intend to get it. When our counterterrorism policies are driven by misunderstanding and misperception, we shouldn't be surprised at the results. Today's terrorists have a real plan-a blueprint that has brought them victory in the past-that they are executing to perfection; moreover, their plan is published and available to anyone who bothers to read it. Once the terrorists' plan is understood, we can develop and implement more effective counterterrorism strategies. A former undercover agent who infiltrated neo-Nazi terrorist groups in the United States, German explains the terrorist's point of view and discusses ways to counter the terrorism threat. Based on his unusual experience in the field, Thinking Like a Terrorist provides unique insights into why terrorism is such a persistent and difficult problem and why the U.S. approach to counterterrorism isn't working.
