In addition, because family planning programmes often significantly affect population growth, the study examines the impacts of family planning on fertility and health, and the human rights implications of family planning programmes. In considering the book's conclusions about the impact of population growth on development, four caveats should be noted. First, the effects of population growth vary from place to place and over time. Thus, blanket statements about overall effects often cannot be made. Where possible, the authors note the contexts in which population effects are strongest and weakest. Second, all of the outcomes examined in this book are influenced by factors other than population growth. Moreover, the impact of population growth may itself vary according to the presence or absence of other factors. This again makes bl anket statements about the effects of population growth difficult. Throughout the chapters, the authors try to identify other relevant factors that influence the outcomes we discuss or that influence the impact of population growth on those outcomes.

Moving beyond an analysis of fat oppression as singular, this book will aim to unpack the volatility of fat—the mutability of fat embodiments as they correlate with other embodied subjectivities, and the threshold where fat begins to be reviled, celebrated, or amended. In addition, Thickening Fat explores the full range of intersectional and liminal analyses that push beyond the simple addition of two or more subjectivities, looking instead at the complex alchemy of layered and unstable markers of difference and privilege. Cognizant that the concept of intersectionality has been filled out in a plurality of ways, Thickening Fat poses critical questions around how to render analysis of fatness intersectional and to thicken up intersectionality, where intersectionality is attenuated to the shifting and composite and material dimensions to identity, rather than reduced to an “add difference and stir” approach. Le premier comprend l'étude des sciences fondamentales, le second comprend l'apprentissage de la clinique et des pathologies avec des cours et des stages pratiques permettant la préparation à l'examen classant national. A l'issue de cet examen, les étudiants choisissent par rang de classement leur spécialité et la ville dans laquelle ils l'apprendront pendant le troisième cycle. L'appréciation de l'apprentissage en stage pendant le deuxème cycle est mal connu. A la faculté de médecine d'Angers, deux études en ligne en 2013 et 2014 ont cherché à apprécier le niveau de satisfaction des étudiants quant à leur formation pratique en stage et théorique. Des questionnaires ont été envoyés par courriel en 2013 et 2014 concernant les stages (organisation et qualité pédagogique) et les enseignements de pôles (cours, travail requis, évaluations finales) à tous les étudiants de deuxième cycle. 73% des étudiants en 2013 et 51.5% des étudiants en 2014 ont répondu au questionnaire. On retrouve une bonne satisfaction des étudiants de leur formation pratique, avec quelques améliorations à apporter (objectifs de stage à mieux définir, effectifs à adapter, cours à dispenser dans les services) dans quelques services. L'appréciation de l'enseignement théorique est hétérogène selon les pôles avec une fréquentation des cours biaisée par le caractère obligatoire des cours des pôles D et E, un sentiment mitigé d'être correctement évalué (miniclinique, évaluation de pôle, compétences en stage). La formation des étudiants en médecine de deuxième cycle d'Angers est globalement bonne mais reste perfectible dans certains axes.
