Download or read book Self-Assessment written by Osama S M Amin and published by . This book was released on 2017-01-02 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the 2nd edition of my previous book, "Self-Assessment for MRCP(UK) part 1," which was published in 2009. The book has undergone several changes and updates. Membership diplomas of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom, MRCP(UK), and Ireland, MRCP(I), have several things in common. Their part I examination at a glance: one-day examination; two-three hour papers (UK) or one-three hour paper (Ireland); 200 (UK) or 100 (Ireland) best of five questions; no photographic materials; and sat in an examination hall. The best initial step is to read accredited textbooks. After then, self-assess yourself. Read this book, chapter after chapter, try to find out your mistakes and gaps in knowledge, and then re-read what you have missed. In writing this book, I tried my best to include the commonest examination themes. You may encounter negative or positive stems (i.e., one wrong stem or one correct stem out of five stems).

Book excerpt: This is the 2nd edition of my previous book, "Self-Assessment for MRCP part II; 135 Best of Many Questions with Photographic Materials for MRCP(UK) and MRCP(I) Part II Written Exams," which was published in 2009. This book is a rapid self-assessment tool. There are many clues and tricks on how to analyze and answer certain questions. Each chapter does not contain more than 15 questions; it's like a mock paper/exam. I have included many data interpretations and photographic materials. Each question has an objective. Try to target that objective. In writing this book, I tried my best to include the commonest examination themes that have been encountered recently. Good luck!

Download or read book Self-Assessment: BOFs for MRCP(UK) and MRCP(I) Part I written by Osama Shukir Muhammed Amin and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2023-02-02 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the third edition of my book, "Self-Assessment for MRCP(UK) part 1", which was published in 2009. The second edition, entitled "Self-Assessment: 650 BOFs for MRCP(UK) and MRCP(I) Part I" was published in late 2016. It has been six years! The third edition has undergone several changes and updates. COVID-19 strikes every chapter. In authoring this book, I tried my best to include the most common examination themes. You may encounter negative or positive stems. The questions' objective is to teach, i.e., a rapid review of every subject and theme. This book differs from my book "Get Through MRCP part I; BOFs," which was published in the year 2008 by the Royal Society of Medicine Press in London, and my book "MRCP(UK) and MRCP(I) Part I Best of Fives, Volume I", which was published in 2022. The former concentrates mainly on the diagnosis and management, i.e., what is the diagnosis, what is the next best step, what feature is consistent with your preliminary diagnosis, and so on. The latter concentrates on several updates in the management of many diseases, addresses some novel diseases and topics, and focuses on COVID-19. Undoubtedly, if you are well-prepared, you will pass the examination very easily. No need to panic when you hear about your colleagues' experiences. Lack of preparation is the single most common reason for failure. Remember, practice makes perfect. Read and self-assess; that's it! Good luck with your career and exams!

Book Synopsis Neurology: Self-Assessment for MRCP(UK) Neurology SCE by : Osama Shukir Muhammed Amin
Download or read book Neurology: Self-Assessment for MRCP(UK) Neurology SCE written by Osama Shukir Muhammed Amin and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2023-02-12 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: You will find 1080 questions of different formats, distributed into five chapters. The book’s questions were written in many formats; best of fives (one correct stem of out five, i.e., single best answer), best of many (two or three answers out of ten stems), a single line (filling in a blank space with your answer), serial best of fives (one to four best of five questions about one patient), and best of five questions with photographic materials. Chapter four contains 215 MCQs in a true/false format targeting neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, etc. as well as clinical neurology. The objective behind writing chapter four is to retrieve your information rapidly. The single-line format tests the candidate's skills in clinical decision-making and retrieving his medical knowledge. The last two formats are no longer used in many post-graduate exams all over the world. Comprising about 20% of this book, I included them here just for a diverse way of self-assessment. Chapters two and three were taken from my other books and MRCP courses; they include updates in neurology, and COVID-19 questions are also encompassed. The first copy of this book, entitled “One Year of Har Work”, was in PDF format only and published in 2006; it was used by many postgraduate neurology bodies to examine their trainees. The work then progressed to an updated version, the first edition (published in 2016) was named “Neurology: Self-Assessment for MRCP(UK) and MRCP(I)” with 792 questions. Favorable and productive reviews and critiques made me write this second edition. As far as I know and have been informed about, many post-graduate neurology board candidates and diploma trainees in many countries have been using my book. I hope this updated edition will help strengthen your information and solidify your clinical approach.
