Der relative Stickstoff gehalt ist gross, die absolute Menge dagegen ge ring. Auffallend ist der grosse Fettgehalt. Bili rubin war nicht nachweisbar, dagegen sehr deut lich Hydrobilirubin. Als neu ist die Beobachtung anzusehen, dass die Hungernden trotz reichlicher Wasseraufnahme den Wasserverlust durch Urin und Perspiration nicht zu decken vermochten, son dern vom Wasserbestande ihres Korpers zusetzten.
