They leave late that very afternoon; skilfully and silently creeping into the grounds, they stop almost pressed along the inside walls of the garden of the house until they are sure nobody is watching. Then slowly, one by one, they begin to make their way farther into the unknown... Master story tellers they must become: relaying tales of how their days are filled with football and walks with Jack - anything but the truth! This adventure is fraught with danger as they discover, through an accident, a covered entrance to a network of underground tunnels which they are convinced will lead them into this weird ram shackled house. Clawing with their bare hands, they find it an almost impossible task to make their way through the age old detritus - but they must achieve their goal; finding and claiming hidden treasure. They summon all possible courage as they face these dark, damp, dangerous and eerie spaces. Escalating tensions spark arguments and blame between the three adventurers: the sense of something, or someone else, close by in the tunnels following them, unleashes fear and provokes thoughts of escape. They stop: it stops. Almost at the point of desperation, with their nerves spiralling into panic, they twist and turn the handle of the final door and fall in a heap, on top of each other, inside the house at last. The friends joint determination; to be rich, famous, and most importantly be mentioned in the papers, drives the three on, against the odds, to find the mountain of treasure dreamed of for so long. But suddenly, without warning, the situation turns back on them. Not just about the treasure but also concerning an unworldly challenge for all three of them. One thing is clear: if they accept this challenge they will become the 'Keepers of the Secret'.
