Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As 1942 draws to a close the world is still in a state of Chaos with fighting occurring nearly worldwide. The intensity of the fighting seems to grow with each passing day. In the far east there is a growing hope by the Allies that serious cracks are developing in the Japanese plan to dominate the region. Following the triumph battle of Midway, Churchill has released to the Pacific submarines and aircraft carriers previously engaged in supply and defense of the lost island of Malta. The added effect was victory after victory in the region. Never thought possible, teams of American generals and Admirals were working hand in hand with their British counterparts to save China and drive the Japanese back. However, this stood in sharp contrast with the setbacks Hitler was inflicting on Stalin. The port city of Sevastopol had fallen and yet another vicious struggle led by German General Erich von Manstein was being waged in the environs of Leningrad and the far north. On the Eurasian Steppe, rebuilt Panzer Divisions from the winter debacle had sweep Stalin's troops before them all the way to the gates of Stalingrad. It now appears the 1942 German Russian offensive has been stopped; however, Italian sea, air and land forces had just successfully captured much of the Russian Black Sea coast. It would appear that things were looking up for Hitler and that Stalin was in a bad way. Although Stalin was furious with his field commanders for letting so much of the motherland slip out of his hands, he knew winter was coming and with it revenge. Literally millions of Soviet troops and thousands of tanks and planes were standing in the wings preparing for a whole host of offenses. All were backed up with thousands of tons of weapons and supplies courtesy Roosevelt and Churchill. But Hitler's iron grip was beginning to slip. In hundreds of secret conversations criticism was building as growing evidences of secret brutality, excesses and regime incompetence were building. Fuel tanks were near empty, serious raw material shortage were at hand, and everyday and night more British and American bombs fell on German factories and cities. The U-boat blockade appeared to be having no effect (not true). Those in the know recognized the imprint of competent leadership by Generals like Heinz Guderian, who had even managed to turn the Italian military around. Here again things were not what they seemed, for while acquiring German and captured technology and equipment, Italian spies and salvage crews also acquired information. Information these spies recently came into revealed how threated Italy's survival truly was. Mussolini was keenly aware this information was both dangerous and potentially an avenue to securing the empire he so greatly desired; perhaps even preeminence in the Axis camp. Before he could win the battle in the shadows, his forces must successfully defend the central Mediterranean. If German Admiral Raeder was correct; the Allies would most surely wager everything they had to regain control and destroy Italy. This great challenge began more quickly than Mussolini would have liked. He knew even if they won, it would probably not be enough, but if they lost nothing could save them. ### After holding off much of British 8th Army, attempting to capture Mersa Matruh, North Africa; Italian forces counter-attack using their modified captured tanks. While Italians attack in the north, German Africa Korps attacks from the south. British forces are driven across the desert past Mussolini’s recently erected Triumphal Arch. One pincer of the Allies’ plan to trap Axis forces in Africa has been removed. In the west, the Allies massive 'Torch' invasion fleet must now take back the Mediterranean on its own.

Book excerpt: Islam will be the world's largest religion by 2075. Why?Derek P. Gilbert, author of the groundbreaking books The Great Inception and Last Clash of the Titans, argues that Islam is too big and too successful to be the work of just one spirit. Tracing the pagan religions of the nations around ancient Israel, Gilbert makes the bold claim that the religion of Muhammad is actually a collaboration by the old gods of Mesopotamia, a desperate partnership of fallen angels who were caught off-guard by the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.Bad Moon Rising reveals:¿Why Islam is the supernatural equivalent of a corporate merger¿How "the iniquity of the Amorites" is affecting the world today¿The importance of the moon-god, then and now¿How Islam's history reflects the characteristics of the gods of Mesopotamia¿Shocking links between Mount Hermon, Petra, and Mecca¿The prophesied death of the gods at Armageddon¿Islam's tragic role in the end timesDrawing on peer-reviewed academic research, Gilbert exposes Islam as a dark alliance of pagan gods and lays out a scenario of the end times that reveals the bloody role of Islam on the road to Armageddon.

Brave and reckless, intelligent and foolish, lucky and ill-fated, their battles were won and lost by ruse, trickery, chance, stupidity and by unsurpassed military brilliance. This was the crucible of civilisation, when a single conqueror could change the world." "Erik Durschmied analyses seventeen of ancient history's most fascinating and brutal battles, some of which have been almost forgotten, but all of which changed the shape of the world and set the borders of our future."--Jacket.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Although there is broad consensus among Bible prophecy scholars that the times of the gentiles will continue until the return of Jesus Christ, the century-old, traditional interpretation holds that Daniel’s fourth, gentile kingdom (the Roman Empire) ceased to exist in AD 476 in the West at Rome and, therefore, must be “revived” politically in the beginning of the seven-year tribulation period. That prevailing viewpoint is obscuring a clear understanding of the continuing existence of the fourth kingdom as well as its fulfillment in history of important prophecies related to the end times. Peters forewarned about this potential interpretation problem in The Theocratic Kingdom (1884). Daniel’s Fourth Kingdom: (1) establishes that the divided Roman Empire still exists today and explains why that fact matters regarding the season of Christ’s return; (2) respectfully questions the traditional interpretation; (3) exhorts the church to love not the temporal kingdoms of this world but, instead, to embrace her gospel-inspired, Holy Spirit-empowered, love-driven, apolitical, evangelical mission to share the gospel with all nations while expecting the possibly imminent pretribulation rapture; and (4) invites all readers, believers and skeptics alike, to consider the relevance of the Bible concerning world history, current events, and the future.

Book excerpt: IN DECEMBER 2017, United States President DONALD TRUMP officially recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel paving the way for a campaign promise to move the US embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The announcement sparked immediate violent protests from the Palestinians, and drew condemnation from the Vatican, Russia and the Islamic nations who all reject Jewish sovereignty over Jerusalem. THE UNITED NATION'S SECURITY COUNCIL then quickly convened to set forth a resolution condemning Trump's proclamation which was supported by the majority of its 193-member nations. Prior to the vote, United States UN Ambassador NIKKI HALEY had addressed the UN General Assembly warning that the US was taking names of those who are against them and will not forget. According to Zechariah 12:9 which states: "I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem" GOD is taking names too of all those who are against Israel. WHY ALL THE FUSS OVER JERUSALEM? Find out as author DAVID HEAD takes the reader on a concise journey of Jerusalem's history to show how we've come to its present-day circumstances, followed by an in-depth look at how the ancient prophecies have Jerusalem at the epicenter of a world headed on a climactic collision course with its Creator. IN ADDITION, you'll be enlightened to such things as: (1) What role will the USA play in the end-times? (2) Will the ANTICHRIST be a Muslim, a Jew, or a European, and what will be his military power base? (3) When and why will the one, real BLOOD MOON of end-times prophecy occur that will be seen worldwide? (4) Who will be the FALSE PROPHET of Revelation? (5) When will the MARK OF THE BEAST be enforced? (6) Where is SATAN'S SEAT today? You may be shocked to find out! (7) What's behind all the corruption and child sex abuse in the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH? (8) What are the events that must occur before the Jews build the THIRD TEMPLE? (9) When will the ISLAMIC ARMIES led by Russia, Iran and Turkey stage the Ezekiel 38 attack on Israel? (10) What will Jerusalem and the world be like POST ARMAGEDDON? Get a fresh revelation of these topics and more as David, using the Scripture interpreting Scripture method of 2 Timothy 2:15 from OVER 30 YEARS OF RESEARCH, gives the reader one of the most accurate evangelical interpretations of Bible prophecy in print to-date.

His comprehensive overview of its roots, its theological basis, and its political consequences is very timely. I myself believe that Zionism, both political and Christian, is incompatible with biblical faith. Stephen's book has helped to reinforce this conviction."--Rev. Dr. John Stott"I believe Stephen Sizer is one of the most authoritative scholars in the world on the vital issue of Christian Zionism. He is a very important voice speaking out against this destructive movement that is killing us [Palestinians] through its theology." --Canon Naim Ateek"Stephen Sizer's Christian Zionism: Road Map to Armageddon? is essential reading for any Western evangelical trying to understand the religious dimensions of American support for Israel. Sizer writes as an insider within the church, not as a critic watching from afar. And he shows with exacting clarity how evangelical eschatology has now embedded itself in a modern political ideology. One quick read of this book will change anyone's perspective on the Middle East permanently." --Professor Gary M. Burge"Congratulations on Christian Zionism. The index alone makes my mouth water, since this is the scholarly treatment to counteract the rabid prophecy pack for which I had been searching. I couldn't be happier that this is published. You and I see eye to eye on this issue. . . . Yours is a true prophetic voice so badly needed in the current prophecy frenzy. And when this mania also affects national and international policy, the danger takes on larger proportions."--Professor Paul Maier"Stephen Sizer's work on Christian Zionism is the most important and comprehensive on the subject to date and should be read by all students of the Middle East and by Christians concerned about a just resolution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Christian Zionism raises vital theological and political challenges that must be addressed head-on by Christians in the West, particularly evangelicals. The impact of this terribly misguided movement is increasingly putting Christians in the Middle East at risk, and it seems a far cry from the witness and message of Jesus Christ."--Dr Donald Wagner"This study of Christian Zionism, based on Stephen Sizer's doctoral thesis, is of seminal significance. It provides a fascinating survey of the history of Christian Zionism and an in-depth analysis of the theology of this highly important and influential movement."--Rabbi Professor Dan Cohn-Sherbok

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In her new book, award-winning journalist Marci McDonald draws back the curtain on the mysterious world of the right-wing Christian nationalist movement in Canada and its many ties to the Conservative government of Stephen Harper. To most Canadians, the politics of the United States — where fundamentalist Christians wield tremendous power and culture wars split the country — seem too foreign to ever happen here. But The Armageddon Factor shows that the Canadian Christian right — infuriated by the legalization of same-sex marriage and the increasing secularization of society — has been steadily and stealthily building organizations, alliances and contacts that have put them close to the levers of power and put the government of Canada in their debt. Determined to outlaw homosexuality and abortion, and to restore Canada to what they see as its divinely determined destiny to be a nation ruled by Christian laws and precepts, this group of true believers has moved the country far closer to the American mix of politics and religion than most Canadians would ever believe. McDonald’s book explores how a web of evangelical far-right Christians have built think-tanks and foundations that play a prominent role in determining policy for the Conservative government of Canada. She shows how Biblical belief has allowed Christians to put dozens of MPs in office and to build a power base across the country, across cultures and even across religions. “What drives that growing Christian nationalist movement is its adherents’ conviction that the end times foretold in the book of Revelation are at hand,” writes McDonald. “Braced for an impending apocalypse, they feel impelled to ensure that Canada assumes a unique, scripturally ordained role in the final days before the Second Coming — and little else.” The Armageddon Factor shows how the religious right’s influence on the Harper government has led to hugely important but little-known changes in everything from foreign policy and the makeup of the courts to funding for scientific research and social welfare programs like daycare. And the book also shows that the religious influence is here to stay, regardless of which party ends up in government. For those who thought the religious right in Canada was confined to rural areas and the west, this book is an eye-opener, outlining to what extent the corridors of power in Ottawa are now populated by true believers. For anyone who assumed that the American religious right stopped at the border, The Armageddon Factor explains how US money and evangelists have infiltrated Canadian politics. This book should be essential reading for Canadians of every religious belief or political stripe. Indeed, The Armageddon Factor should persuade every Canadian that, with the growth of such a movement, the future direction of the country is at stake.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every follower of Christ has a coterminous sense of citizenship--(s)he is at the same time a citizen of a country (or countries) on earth, but also has a heavenly allegiance through faith in Jesus Christ. How then should Christians live in light of these tensions? What does the Bible teach about issues of nationality, nationalism, and patriotism? Designed around seven chapters, this book investigates the issue of national identity for the follower of Christ. Specifically, this book delves into more than the binary of whether a Christian can be patriotic or not. Or, whether a Christian can be nationalistic or not. What should a Christian do in light of differing political conditions around them because, in this situation, Christians still need to share the gospel and make disciples of all nations? As a result, answers are proffered by the author, based on Old and New Testament examples, on national identity, free trade and supranational groupings, secessionist agitation and independence referendums, as well as transnational linkages that connect followers of Christ around the globe. This book ends with sixteen conclusions on how Christians should live in the modern world with respect to nationalism and patriotism.

Book excerpt: The doctrine of the Antichrist is one of the most interesting doctrines found in Scripture, says author Kim Riddlebarger. Unfortunately, it's also one which has been subject to far more speculation than sound biblical exegesis. Until now. Unlike other resources available on the Antichrist, The Man of Sin focuses on Scripture, not contemporary events, to uncover the truth about this mysterious entity. With skilled exegesis Riddlebarger asserts that, contrary to popular speculation, the Antichrist is not a singular individual but a series of beings that will arise to challenge Christ throughout the inter-advental age before culminating in an end-times Antichrist. Backing this claim first in Scripture, Riddlebarger also draws from historical teachings including those of the church fathers, the Reformation, and historic Protestantism, before contrasting this evidence to the sensational interpretations of many contemporary writers. Pastors, teachers, and study groups wanting to understand the doctrine of the Antichrist will find The Man of Sin to be a unique and comprehensive study.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The popular Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins has sold more than 62 million copies since the first volume appeared in 1995. Jerry Falwell pronounced it the most important series of books in the history of modern Christianity. Many readers have assumed it gives the true facts about the way the world will end and what will happen to all the people in it. But according to real biblical scholarship, this series is seriously flawed. Based on a misreading of many scriptures, including Daniel and the Book of Revelation, it has fed a kind of hysteria in the Christian populace that has led many people to reorder their existence in expectation of an impending doom and the sudden, unexpected return of Jesus. In this book, William Powell Tuck carefully and authoritatively refutes the premises and faulty theology of the Left Behind books, critiquing them in the light of genuine biblical scholarship and common sense.

Book excerpt: Physicist Brandenburg gives us an explanation of the Cosmic Jesus and the metaphysics of the Bible and what it says about the cosmos. Brandenburg reveals: the relationship between GEM theory (Gravity-Electricity-Magnetism) and Gematria; the importance of Israel being on the Silk Road; the Aquarian Nazareth; The Genesis Catastrophe; The Revelation; introduced the idea of a One God of Law who was master of all Physics and the Cosmos and lots more! Brandenburg discusses the Greek philosopher Aristarchus of Samos (200 BC), his work on the modern structure of the cosmos and his influence on the Biblical Paul (who also had a companion named Aristarchus) as well as how the Bible appears to contain a sophisticated mathematical allegory centered around Jesus and the 5th dimension of Kaluza-Klein and GEM theory that runs through millennia—where Jesus is the repairer of the effects of the collapse of the fifth dimension to subatomic size. Brandenburg tells us how we must necessitate human contact and travel to the stars and establish trade in ideas and merchandise with those who dwell there. We must be proactive in this, and not wait for others to come here—we must make every effort to go to them.
