Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Roy Schoeman, a Jewish convert to Catholicism, and best-selling author of Salvation Is From The Jews, once again shows the clear links between Judaism and Catholicism in these inspiring stories of sixteen Jews who became "fulfilled Jews", as Schoeman says, through their spiritual journeys to the Catholic Church. The sixteen people whose stories are told here are a variety of Jews, including some who came from secularized, liberal or even atheistic backgrounds, while others came from Orthodox Judaism. Some were well trained Jews, others unschooled in Judaism; some rich and wildly successful, others down and out. But their common link was they all had a profound longing for God that gave them no peace until they found God Himself in the Catholic Church. Some of these converts are famous people like Edith Stein, Alphonse Ratisbonne, Karl Stern, and Rabbi Zolli, while others are less well known, but all have powerful stories of life-changing spiritual transformations. Roy Schoeman's work, Honey from the Rock illuminates the essential link between the Jewish faith and Catholicism through the lives of those who were born into the Jewish faith and have come to know the fulfillment of their faith in Christ and His Catholic Church. I recommend Honey from the Rock to anyone who desires to understand the revealed faith of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, which is fulfilled in Jesus Christ and His Mystical Body, the Church. Honey from the Rock illustrates in a most concrete way the truth expounded so well by Roy Schoeman in his earlier work, Salvation is from the Jews, which I also wholeheartedly recommend. Raymond L. Burke, Archbishop of Saint Louis This book is far more than just another collection of conversion stories. It is a spiritual pathway with each story creating a stepping stone to transformation. These life changing encounters will deepen your faith and provide insights into the riches of the Catholic Church. It is filled with Jewish wit and wisdom and climaxes in the radical transformation of conversion. I highly recommend this book to all who wish to grow deeper and learn about the Faith from a Jewish point of view. You won't be disappointed! Brother Bob Fishman - B.S.C.D. Roy Schoeman has given us all a great gift in showing us the mysterious and wonderful ways in which Y'shua, the Messianic Son of David, and His Mother Miryam continue to speak deeply to the longing hearts of that people to whom, more than all others, we Gentiles owe an incalculable debt. Mark Shea, Senior Content Editor, CatholicExchange.com God's covenant with Israel was neither revoked nor abolished. It was fulfilled in Jesus Christ, and Honey from the Rock is powerful proof of that fulfillment. Israel's prayer and piety, vocation and sacrifice - all are transformed as they are restored. All find their completion in the lives we encounter here. Pope Pius XI put it well when he said that Spiritually we are Semites. May all Catholics be enriched by this movement of the Spirit, because for us it's a movement homeward Scott Hahn, author, Rome Sweet Home This is a gripping book sketching powerfully the Jewish metaphysical restlessness that nothing can satisfy until they taste Honey from the Divine Rock and recognize in Christ the King of the Jews and the Roman Catholic church as fulfillment of Judaism. This book is a constellation made up of sixteen sons and daughters of Israel for whom overwhelming talents, wordly success, money, pleasure brought nothing but despair. Each one of them had its own path; but what is striking is the role played by the Holy Virgin and the holy hunger for the Eucharist in some of the most amazing conversions. This book will bring joy to its readers and rekindle their hope in the power of G

Book excerpt: Straightforward answers about Roman Catholicism for a Protestant audience The Roman Catholic faith is one of the world's most widespread religious traditions, yet the unique aspects of Roman Catholicism elicit perennial questions from adherents and outsiders alike. Such questions tend to fall into three major categories: historical backgrounds, theological matters, and personal relationships. Using Catholic Church documents and the writings of Catholic scholars, Baptist systematic theologian Gregg R. Allison distills the teachings of Catholicism around forty common questions about Catholic foundations, beliefs, and practices. The accessible question-and-answer format guides readers to the areas of interest, including: Where do Roman Catholic and Protestant beliefs differ? What happens during a Roman Catholic Mass? How does Roman Catholicism understand the biblical teaching about Mary? Who are the saints and what is their role? How can my Roman Catholic loved ones and I talk about the gospel? 40 Questions About Roman Catholicism explores theology and practice, doctrine and liturgy, sacraments and Mariology, contributions and scandals, and many other things, clarifying both real and perceived differences and similarities with other Christian traditions.

Book excerpt: The book traces the role of Judaism and the Jewish people in God's plan for the salvation of mankind, from Abraham through the Second Coming, as revealed by the Catholic faith and by a thoughtful examination of history. It will give Christians a deeper understanding of Judaism, both as a religion in itself and as a central component of Christian salvation. To Jews it reveals the incomprehensible importance, nobility and glory that Judaism most truly has. It examines the unique and central role Judaism plays in the destiny of the world. It documents that throughout history attacks on Jews and Judaism have been rooted not in Christianity, but in the most anti-Christian of forces. Areas addressed include: the Messianic prophecies in Jewish scripture; the anti-Christian roots of Nazi anti-Semitism; the links between Nazism and Arab anti-Semitism; the theological insights of major Jewish converts; and the role of the Jews in the Second Coming. "Perplexed by controversies new and old about the destiny of the Jewish people? Read this book by a Jew who became a Catholic for a well-written, provocative, ground-breaking account. Some of the answers most have never heard before." Ronda Chervin, Ph.D., Hebrew-Catholic

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Understanding the Trinity is a revolution in Christian thought and philosophy. True Christianity is a Jewish religion established and organized by Jews. Gentiles were invited by Jews, with God's approval, to participate in the Christian movement. However, Gentile Leaders in most Christian Churches of the world today do not preach the original Christian gospel message of salvation that was first delivered to the saints by the apostle Paul (Galatians 1:8-9). "Understanding the Trinity, Three Persons vs Three Manifestations," will bring us back to the original gospel message, the oneness of God, and the power of God's name in the face of Jesus Christ. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Luke 2:11). When Billy G. Newton, Bishop, Diocesan of the 29th Episcopal District, Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., Pastor of the Word of Church read this book, he said, "This book was so fascinating I couldn't put it down." When Kevin Seraaj, M.Div., J.D. Senior Pastor, Cornerstone Baptist Church, Publisher, Central Florida Advocate News read this book, he said, "Understanding the Trinity" is a timely, relevant and extremely provocative piece of work. In a time when the church must be challenged to move out of old ways, notions, thoughts and traditions, this book will without question provide a forum for much-needed theological discussion. For students of the Bible, this book is a must read, for it is always that process of reading, analyzing and debating that enables us to move forward in both our personal and spiritual journeys." Great job!! When Frank E. Thompson, Pastor of the Worship Center Church read the book, he said, "This book should be taught in colleges and universities." Author's Note: You have in your possession the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Don't let the birds steal your seeds (Matthew 13:3-13) (KJV).

Book excerpt: Since the dawn of known existence, humanity has been engaged in a profound and relentless struggle to comprehend and articulate the true meanings and purposes of life’s freedom of expression. This struggle spans millennia and is intricately woven into the fabric of our existence, affecting every aspect of our lives. It encompasses the understanding of freedom of expression in religious contexts, political ideologies, and economic forums, all often presented under the guise of the common good. Religion has always been a powerful force, shaping societies and dictating the moral and ethical boundaries within which individuals must operate. The freedom to express one’s religious beliefs, or to question and reinterpret those beliefs, has been a contentious issue throughout history. From ancient times to the modern era, individuals and groups have faced persecution, ostracism, and even death for challenging established religious doctrines and advocating for a broader understanding of spiritual freedom. Similarly, political ideologies have wielded immense influence over human societies. The freedom to express political opinions, to critique governments, and to advocate for change is a cornerstone of democratic societies. However, this freedom is often constrained by authoritarian regimes, oppressive laws, and societal norms that seek to maintain the status quo. The struggle for political freedom is not just about the right to vote or to speak out against injustice; it is about the fundamental right to think independently and to envision a different future. Economic forums and systems, too, have their own sets of rules and regulations that govern human behavior. The freedom to pursue economic opportunities, to innovate, and to challenge existing economic paradigms is essential for progress and prosperity. Yet, economic freedom is frequently restricted by monopolies, corrupt practices, and policies that favor the privileged few over the many. The fight for economic freedom is a fight for equality, for the right to a fair chance, and for the ability to dream beyond one’s immediate circumstances. We must grasp the notion that these three fundamental and structural branches—religious, political, and economic—sustain the myriad expressions manifested through diverse active movements. These expressions are driven by human perceptions, utilizing the five senses to navigate the material world and, at times, invoking the sixth sense to survive the spiritual environment of human existence. Our senses help us interpret and interact with the world around us, while our intuition guides us through the complexities of life, often revealing truths that lie beyond the reach of empirical evidence. While we may have received freedoms within the evolving cultural and social parameters, true freedom of expression, particularly of human thought, remains suppressed at its root. As long as this core foundation is stifled, we will never fully experience or understand what true freedom entails. Superficial freedoms that allow us to express our movements, works, and deeds within predefined limits do not equate to genuine liberty. True freedom is rooted in the unencumbered ability to think, to question, and to challenge the very foundations of our beliefs and systems. In essence, I seek to address the reality of our received but encapsulated freedoms. We are allowed to express our existence within certain parameters, but the true essence of freedom is compromised when we are directed to move in one direction without the liberty to question why. We can express a belief system, but we are not permitted to question the system itself. We can join political ideologies or humanitarian economic platforms, but free thinking and the expression of independent human thought, which precedes any outward manifestation of material or spiritual senses, are constrained. The essence of true freedom begins with the power to express one’s thoughts without fear or limitation. This book aims to explore and illuminate the depths of this freedom, challenging the boundaries and constraints imposed upon our expressions and encouraging a broader understanding of what it means to be truly free. It is an invitation to embark on a journey of introspection and discovery, to break free from the shackles of imposed limitations, and to embrace the boundless possibilities of the human mind and spirit. As we journey through these pages, I encourage you, dear reader, to reflect on your own experiences and beliefs. Consider how the themes of freedom and expression resonate in your life. Let this book serve as a catalyst for thought, discussion, and ultimately, a deeper appreciation of the power and significance of expressed thoughts.
