Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many political books list American societal and political problems but stop short of presenting solutions. Dr. Boggs explains the context and concepts that our Founders applied while structuring our federal system. He then applies those God-centered concepts with credible physical and online sources so the reader can conceptualize solving today’s critical problems in America. The author shows you how to evaluate statements on the internet and determine facts on current issues. Then you will be informed as you work to: increase personal morals, strengthen your family, protect your rights, meet civic responsibilities, improve local schools, assimilate legal immigrants, find and grow with a religious group, and more. You may read specific chapters which apply to problems painful to you or read the full book to greatly increase your participation in, and rewards from, the American way of life. Dr. Boggs describes step-by-step actions you can implement to improve American society while personally growing as a God-centered individual. America gives us significant values: freedom, a way of life, and opportunities for which people still risk their lives to immigrate. If these values disappear, they will be lost forever.

I wasn't sure if I should concentrate on politics, writing, or religion which is my latest and most important passion. I have decided on the title of this book You Can Get Here From There. Don't ask me how I thought that would be OK. Now I understand why it took something to get me jump started. That came to me early in the morning as I was praying in my bed. I was seeking guidance for my future so that I could best serve God and my country. As I thought I was about to sleep a word came to my attention with a note that this is the key. I responded that I wasn't sure of the meaning but was assured I did. I got up and went to my study to look this new key up in my college dictionary. It wasn't there so I googled it and there it was with a definition. That was just as I'd thought. With this word I came up with a new title but was convinced I shouldn't put it on the cover so it's the heading for the first chapter. I'll reveal the word in the first chapter and spend the rest of the book in explanation.

Book excerpt: In Restoring Our Republic, Ned Ryun examines the genesis for the ideas which inspired our constitutional republic, from the ancient Hebrews, Greeks and Romans to the English and their common law. Ryun also discusses the machinery of the republic built by the Founders meant to protect the rights of the American people and how that machinery has been dismantled by Progressives. "Restoring Our Republic is powerful love letter to the United States of America. Detailed and sweeping, yet digestible and engrossing, this is the book America needs right now, a potent antidote to the poisonous lies promulgated by today's elite, those unworthy heirs of the exponential greater men of the founding. Ned Ryun gives us back our history, and in doing so reveals the truth about who we are asAmericans."-- Kurt Schlichter, Senior Columnist at Townhall.com"Ned Ryun nails it with Restoring Our Republic. Our Founder Fathers weren't anarchic revolutionaries. They fought instead to preserve our Judeo-Christian Civilization. That civilization, the greatest ever, is under lethal assault once more from those who detest PresidentTrump's MAGA agenda. Read Restoring Our Republic to refuel your commitment and help win back our country."-- Sebastian Gorka Ph.D. Former Strategist toPresident Donald Trump, Host of America First"The success of our republic isn't by chance: it is due to disciplined, deliberate choices. The growth of socialism now threatens the freedom this success provides. How will Americans now choose? Ned Ryun's Restoring Our Republic examines this and celebrates the DNA of American liberty."-- Dana Loesch, nationally syndicated radio host and best-selling author"Restoring Our Republic is both a love letter and a call to arms. As the republic of liberty created by the settlers of this country is slowly replaced with a new regime, Ryun reminds us of what we had and how we can get it back. This is not simply a diagnostic, much less a eulogy, it is a plan for the reinvigoration of our nation, for the unity of her people, and for the restoration of the Republic."-- Chris Buskirk, Publisher and Editor of American Greatness"Ned Ryun incisively details the fundamental principles and history of freedom and liberty that made America great, as well as the disastrous consequences of throwing overboard the constitutional ideals of theFounding Fathers. Restoring Our Republic makes clear that the only way to make America great again is to keep America free."-- Sean Davis, co-founder of The Federalist"Ned Ryun's Restoring Our Republic is a great analysis of what we've fought for, where we've been, and where we're going."-- Dan Bongino, The Dan Bongino Show"Restoring Our Republic is a historical road map of how the United States of America came to be the greatest force for good the world has ever known. Ned Ryun explains the complex underpinnings of the American experiment and pulls no punches in warning of the fragility of American exceptionalism. Understanding that America's constitutional and legal foundation was laid thousands, not hundreds of years ago, Ned calls on Americans to appreciate the gift they've been given, while warning of the dangers ahead if they stray from the Founders' course. A celebration of western civilization and values,Restoring Our Republic reminds us that a strong America means a return to our core tenets. This book is sure to become the must read manifesto of Constitutional conservatives."-- John Cardillo, Host of America Talks Live

Book excerpt: A leading conservative intellectual argues that to renew America we must recommit to our institutions Americans are living through a social crisis. Our politics is polarized and bitterly divided. Culture wars rage on campus, in the media, social media, and other arenas of our common life. And for too many Americans, alienation can descend into despair, weakening families and communities and even driving an explosion of opioid abuse. Left and right alike have responded with populist anger at our institutions, and use only metaphors of destruction to describe the path forward: cleaning house, draining swamps. But, as Yuval Levin argues, this is a misguided prescription, rooted in a defective diagnosis. The social crisis we confront is defined not by an oppressive presence but by a debilitating absence of the forces that unite us and militate against alienation. As Levin argues, now is not a time to tear down, but rather to build and rebuild by committing ourselves to the institutions around us. From the military to churches, from families to schools, these institutions provide the forms and structures we need to be free. By taking concrete steps to help them be more trustworthy, we can renew the ties that bind Americans to one another.

Book excerpt: American Democracy is at a Turning Point Most of the American people believe our government is on the wrong track, is broken, and is not capable of solving our major problems. Our national leaders have for too long made the rules for how we are governed for the benefit of their careers and re-election, primarily serving partisan and donor interests instead of serving the country. This book will present fact-based, unbiased and non-partisan actions that "We the People" can take to restore a service-to-country culture in Congress and the Administration.

So we must be aware of the fact our government has outlived its usefulness. Even the Egyptians who seemed to have lasted much longer, didn't. They changed their government style periodically to maintain a hold on their way of life. Now we are on the same precipice, our government has aged to the point of extinction. So what do we do? Do we just sit back and watch as it goes up in flames? Or do we take the situation in hand and do what the Egyptians did...do something about the situation. This book is the something we can do to get our country resurrected. It's just like having a business which has slipped behind in technology, if we want to save our business we have to reinvent the way we do things. That's what this book addresses. "Resurrecting the Republic" delineates how we can save our sinking government and our foundering economy. The plan is all there. It won't happen overnight and it won't be easy, but it's necessary. We are going to need the majority of the population, plus some very intelligent people who are willing to commit their entire being to make this happen, but I know we can do it. All we need is this book and to get started. So let's get up and do it. Are you ready? I know I am!

Book excerpt: The Twentieth Century was widely known the "American Century." The United States of America led the world economically, militarily, and even morally. Her families and communities were strong, her currency was sound, and her military was second to none. But as the new century opens, America staggers from one crisis to another and her leaders squabble rather than lead. Her enemies openly mock her around the world and brazenly attack her vital interests. At home, her citizens are divided against one another more than they have been in generations. The culture war rages and every passing election only draws more vitriol and animosity from either side.As America's problems continue to worsen, history has shown that America will not be saved by her elected officials. If America is to be healed and restored, her restoration must begin somewhere much more foundational - it must begin with her people. But too many Americans don't even know what it means to even be an American any more, and few can even articulate why the United States was founded in the first place.Americans need to relearn what made our country great, even when the Republic was only a few years old. Americans need to know what it means to be American once again. America will not be healed from the Oval Office or the halls of the Capitol, but around our kitchen tables, by our communities, and from our churches. But where do we start? Why is the American Experiment failing today, and what must be done to restore our great nation?

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The U.S. Constitution found in school textbooks and under glass in Washington is not the one enforced today by the Supreme Court. In Restoring the Lost Constitution, Randy Barnett argues that since the nation's founding, but especially since the 1930s, the courts have been cutting holes in the original Constitution and its amendments to eliminate the parts that protect liberty from the power of government. From the Commerce Clause, to the Necessary and Proper Clause, to the Ninth and Tenth Amendments, to the Privileges or Immunities Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, the Supreme Court has rendered each of these provisions toothless. In the process, the written Constitution has been lost. Barnett establishes the original meaning of these lost clauses and offers a practical way to restore them to their central role in constraining government: adopting a "presumption of liberty" to give the benefit of the doubt to citizens when laws restrict their rightful exercises of liberty. He also provides a new, realistic and philosophically rigorous theory of constitutional legitimacy that justifies both interpreting the Constitution according to its original meaning and, where that meaning is vague or open-ended, construing it so as to better protect the rights retained by the people. As clearly argued as it is insightful and provocative, Restoring the Lost Constitution forcefully disputes the conventional wisdom, posing a powerful challenge to which others must now respond. This updated edition features an afterword with further reflections on individual popular sovereignty, originalist interpretation, judicial engagement, and the gravitational force that original meaning has exerted on the Supreme Court in several recent cases.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A concise history of the long struggle between two fundamentally opposing constitutional traditions, from one of the nation’s leading constitutional scholars—a manifesto for renewing our constitutional republic. The Constitution of the United States begins with the words: “We the People.” But from the earliest days of the American republic, there have been two competing notions of “the People,” which lead to two very different visions of the Constitution. Those who view “We the People” collectively think popular sovereignty resides in the people as a group, which leads them to favor a “democratic” constitution that allows the “will of the people” to be expressed by majority rule. In contrast, those who think popular sovereignty resides in the people as individuals contend that a “republican” constitution is needed to secure the pre-existing inalienable rights of “We the People,” each and every one, against abuses by the majority. In Our Republican Constitution, renowned legal scholar Randy E. Barnett tells the fascinating story of how this debate arose shortly after the Revolution, leading to the adoption of a new and innovative “republican” constitution; and how the struggle over slavery led to its completion by a newly formed Republican Party. Yet soon thereafter, progressive academics and activists urged the courts to remake our Republican Constitution into a democratic one by ignoring key passes of its text. Eventually, the courts complied. Drawing from his deep knowledge of constitutional law and history, as well as his experience litigating on behalf of medical marijuana and against Obamacare, Barnett explains why “We the People” would greatly benefit from the renewal of our Republican Constitution, and how this can be accomplished in the courts and the political arena.
