On the whole, the analysis of 12-year data starting from April 2002 to March 2014 established two phases of sectoral indices of Nifty; they are pre and post-recession periods in the light of sub-prime financial crisis that cropped up across the globe during 2008-09. As this study revealed sector-wise return exposure under different economic conditions, it helps investors to diversify their funds to various sectors which give average return to their portfolios and at lower risk element. However, this study is helped in understanding the risk-return relationship between different sectors of Nifty, as well as ARCH and GARCH models to estimate the volatility in the near future in great detail. The direction of the Nifty index is mainly determined by a few sectors in the long run like Bank, Pharma and Capital Goods indices. Finally, this study is enabled the investors to understand the risk and returns of sectoral indices of Nifty to make effective portfolio decisions under different economic conditions to sustain the portfolio with the same objectives till its tenure. Period of the study is eleven years from 2005 to 2015. The panel data regression model has been employed. It can be concluded that Debt-Equity Ratio has negative impact on capital structure of a company. It was revealed from the findings that majority of the select variables have significant impact on the capital structure. The study also brings to light the fact that leverage effect is dominant in the stock market. Findings of the present study are useful in gaining valuable insights into the intricacies of capital structure, firm value and leverage effect. The study is useful to finance managers, investors, researchers and also to academicians doing research in the area of corporate finance.

The telecommunications infrastructure, in particular, became a spotlight in view of its critical importance to keep businesses, governments, and societies connected and running in the period of economic and social disruption. The governments acknowledged a fact that “telecommunications, internet services, broadcasting, cable services, IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS)” are the essential services. Work from Home (WFH) seemed a positive experience, however with some adverse impact on the social, behavioural and physical factors. ICEIM 2022 is a humble contribution of SPM PDEU in terms of presenting a scholarly platform wherein abundance of ideas, answers, right questions, and complementing new learning’s are expected to emerge. The conference aims at discussing and deliberating various contemporary issues and challenge in the management of energy & infrastructure. The conference showcases seven tracks, five of which are Business & Technology, Finance, Human Resource, Marketing, and Project & Operations Management. Then in view of emerging scenario, two more tracks were added namely, Business Analytics and Data Science, Strategies & Entrepreneurship Management.
