Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Arrest-Proof Yourself will teach you everything you need to know about dirty cops, racial profiling, probable cause, search and seizure laws, your right to remain silent, and much more. This how-not-to guide will keep you safe and sound all year long." --Zink magazine What do you say if a cop pulls you over and asks to search your car? What if he gets up in your face and uses a racial slur? What if there's a roach in the ashtray? And what if your hot-headed teenage son is at the wheel? If you read this book, you'll know exactly what to do and say. More people than ever are getting arrested—usually for petty offenses against laws that rarely used to be enforced. And because arrest information is so easily available via the Internet, just one little arrest can disqualify you from jobs, financing, and education. This eye-opening book tells you everything you need to know about how cops operate, the little things that can get you in trouble, and how to stay free from the hungry jaws of the criminal justice system. It is now updated with new and important information on the right of the police to search your car; on guns, knives, and self-defense; and on changes in surveillance methods. Dale C. Carson was an FBI field agent, a SWAT sniper, an instructor at the FBI academy, and a Miami police officer who set Florida records for felony arrests. He is currently a criminal defense attorney. Wes Denham is the author of Arrested.

Book Synopsis The Snow Killings by : Marney Rich Keenan
Download or read book The Snow Killings written by Marney Rich Keenan and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2020-06-29 with total page 284 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over 13 months in 1976-1977, four children were abducted in the Detroit suburbs, each of them held for days before their still-warm bodies were dumped in the snow near public roadsides. The Oakland County Child Murders spawned panic across southeast Michigan, triggering the most extensive manhunt in U.S. history. Yet after less than two years, the task force created to find the killer was shut down without naming a suspect. The case "went cold" for more than 30 years, until a chance discovery by one victim's family pointed to the son of a wealthy General Motors executive: Christopher Brian Busch, a convicted pedophile, was freed weeks before the fourth child disappeared. Veteran Detroit News reporter Marney Rich Keenan takes the reader inside the investigation of the still-unsolved murders--seen through the eyes of the lead detective in the case and the family who cracked it open--revealing evidence of a decades-long coverup of malfeasance and obstruction that denied justice for the victims.
Book Synopsis Mark Pine v. United States by : Mark Pine
Download or read book Mark Pine v. United States written by Mark Pine and published by Mark Pine. This book was released on 2020-08-31 with total page 250 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book is taken from blog posts on markpine.com The blog markpine.com was created using the wordpress.com platform. I’m originally from Woodmere, New York. I graduated from Hewlett High School in 1994. I currently live in New York City. I’m a full-time student at CUNY, a licensed New York real estate broker, a web entrepreneur, and marketing professional. People I know pay New York law enforcement to torture me. They injected me in the face and stomach with something that won’t dissolve. This has been confirmed by a doctor. There is no one to report it to besides the public. In my opinion, the FBI and police have little to no oversight. Regardless, I'm not giving up. New York law enforcement and their civilian team viciously harass me every day. They are harassing me right now as I write this. They have me under aggressive 24/7 surveillance. New York law enforcement drugs me several times a day. New York law enforcement has people blow smoke in my face. They also put narcotics into water and throw it on me. New York law enforcement goes into all my school assignments, email accounts, social media accounts, and this book. They add grammar and spelling errors into everything I write. I’m going to spell check this document and do the best I can. I also have a software program I pay extra for that checks everything. If you see an error in this book, the odds are New York law enforcement was spreading a little hate and lies which is their function on this earth. I’m working on creating various startups. My startups are not an investment opportunity. I’m putting my startups on GoFundMe and FundRazr as a crowdfunding in case anyone wants to give. Why would someone give to a crowdfunding and get nothing in return? My answer is because an individual likes what I’m trying to accomplish. The odds are that all my startups will never get off the ground. If my startups do get off the ground, the odds are they will fail. I don’t think I’m being negative, it’s the reality of the situation. My startups are going to be for profit enterprises. I plan on taking salaries and a percentage of the profit if there is any. I want to be 100% clear upfront because I’m an honest person. Also, I’m under 24/7 surveillance by the FBI and NYPD. They can care less about the Bill of Rights, they go into all my accounts, phone, laptop, etc. I don’t have a criminal record. I don’t do anything illegal. People I know pay New York law enforcement to torture me. New York law enforcement has already drugged me a few times today and they have people teasing and harassing me as I write this. If you don’t believe this goes on Google the word COINTELPRO. The US government, FBI, and police were exposed for torturing people decades ago. I’m confirming that they still do it. You can also Google what police officers have been arrested for in the past few years and it will astonish you. Murder, rape, child abuse, drug dealing, etc. Disclaimers: If you have an emergency call 911. Use this information at your own risk. Results are not guaranteed. All information is subject to change. Results are not guaranteed. I’m not a doctor. I’m not a lawyer. Please verify all information yourself. This is not an investment opportunity. I am crowdfunding various projects but they are not an investment opportunity. If you give to my crowdfunding on GoFundMe, FundRazr, Patreon, or any website like that it is a gift, not an investment. I’m planning on financing everything myself. My startups are going to be for-profit enterprises and I will be taking money out of all of them including profits, salaries, etc. If you would like to hear me complain about law enforcement torturing me and talk more specifically about my crowdfunding you can visit me on social media: youtube.com/markpine360 facebook.com/markpine360 instagram.com/markpine360 twitter.com/markpine360 linkedin.com/in/markpine All the info from this book is available for free at markpine.com if you don't want to pay. markpine.com was created using the wordpress.com platform.

Download or read book Monday Rent Boy written by Susan Doherty and published by Random House Canada. This book was released on 2024-03-19 with total page 361 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By the author of the award-winning The Ghost Garden, a bravely imagined, deeply empathetic novel of two adolescent boys, bound by friendship and a terrible secret. With love and sex so deeply entwined with betrayal and abuse, how does a boy grow up? Monday Rent Boy begins in Somerset, England, in the mid-1980s, with the winning and heart-warming story of two 13-year-old friends and fellow altar boys, Arthur Barnes and Ernie Castlefrank. Endearing outcasts, they try not to speak of the secret tie that binds them: both boys are routinely preyed on by The Zipper, their nickname for Father Ziperto, the local Catholic priest. Still, they find adventure and release in the mischief they get up to together, as each also tries to survive in other ways. Arthur, a great reader and denier of reality, finds an ally in town bookseller Marina Phillips. Ernie, a gifted mathematician and animal lover, is not so lucky. As he and Arthur age out of the abuse, Ernie notices younger and equally vulnerable boys being recruited. When he tries to blow the whistle, nobody believes him. At 16, he disappears, a loss that almost destroys his best friend but also confirms for Arthur that he was smart to stay silent. Arthur eventually also turns his back on the mystery of Ernie's disappearance, but his bookselling mentor and friend Marina Phillips finds a way to follow Ernie where rage and betrayal has led him—into the darkest corners of the dark web—a search that ultimately helps Arthur reckon with what happened to them both. In the novel’s stunning, deeply affecting conclusion, Doherty draws a line directly from the covered-up abuse of children by Catholic priests to the current proliferation of child pornography and predators online—miraculously revealing the true heart of darkness while managing to affirm the light.

Download or read book The Job written by Steve Osborne and published by Anchor. This book was released on 2016-03-22 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A nice quiet night.” During his two decades on the force, if you asked NYPD officer Steve Osborne how things were going, that’s what he’d tell you. On a stakeout? Nice quiet night. Drive by shooting? Nice quiet night. Now, with The Job he’s ready to talk, and does he have some stories to tell. Most civilians get their information about police work from television shows, which are pure fantasy. Here, Osborne takes us into his world, the gritty and not so glamorous life of real street cops. And along the way he finds humor and soul searching humanity in the most unlikely places. For anyone interested in knowing what a cop’s life is all about, this is a must read.
