This report includes brief references to the character and extent of all the more important nickel deposits of the world, with a general statement of their production and methods of smelting and refining. Details of the mining, smelting and refining operations of the Sudbury ores are furnished, as well as complete statistical tables of production, prices, uses and composition of the nickel of commerce. It is believed that the report will serve to bring together in one volume all of the more valuable and critical original investigations in regard to these immense and apparently inexhaustible deposits.
