Proper diagnosis of such problems is important for rehabilitation planning. Projective drawings are often used in clinical assessment, but their validity for this indication remains uncertain. This pilot study was conducted at a juvenile correctional facility in Southern Maine. The intent is to show that Koppitz's (1968) Human Figure Drawing (HFD) assessment correlates positively with problem behaviors as measured by Achenbach's Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL).
