Book excerpt: Cette thèse porte sur l'intérêt de la concurrence oligopolistique dans une dimension économique et sociale. Le premier chapitre traite de la sensibilité de la politique commerciale aux modes de concurrences. Nous proposons un cadre d'analyse dans lequel nous endogénéisons le mode de concurrence. Nos analyses révèlent que la politique commerciale conduit à l'émergence d'une concurrence mixte Cournot-Bertrand entre les firmes. Aussi, le contexte pandémique actuel a favorisé le retour des restrictions aux exportations. Nous trouvons que lorsqu'elles sont unilatérales, elles peuvent contribuer à une bonne gestion de la pandémie.Dans le second chapitre, nous nous intéressons à la première dimension sociale des interactions stratégiques : les négociations salariales. Dans les pays de l'OCDE, elles ont lieu entre les syndicats des travailleurs et les managers des firmes. Nous trouvons que lorsque les syndicats ont relativement peu de pouvoir, l'intégration commerciale se traduit par une détérioration des conditions de travail. Aussi, nous montrons que la négociation collective et le monopole syndicalsont deux formes de négociations salariales qui ne profitent ni aux travailleurs ni aux firmes. Nous proposons alors un cadre d'analyse qui s'appuie sur la négociation efficiente et qui profite aux deux parties.La seconde dimension sociale des interactions stratégiques est liée aux politiques antidumping abordées dans le troisième chapitre. Du fait de l'asymétrie d'information, les producteurs étrangers peuvent présenter leurs produits comme de la haute qualité alors que des groupes d'experts ont tendance à les considérer comme de la basse qualité dans le pays d'importation. De ce fait, les consommateurs ne perçoivent pas correctement la qualité des biens importés. Nous prouvons théoriquement et empiriquement que cette mauvaise perception de la qualité est à l'origine du dumping. Nous en déduisons ensuite les conséquences en termes de procédure antidumping.
