Some time ago, I began this very same endeavor in the days when only typewriters or word processors were available, and notes were taken on regular binder paper. I began in Genesis 1:1 and finished one and a half years later in Revelation 21:22. As I read the Scriptures, I attempted to write down every passage that had something to do with God directly or indirectly. This was the first step and an amazing time spent with the God we worship. Everyday was a blessing as He opened my eyes to who He is. This initial study is as far as I was able to proceed due to the demands of my pastoral ministry. Now, I am challenging others to pick up this mantle and continue the study to the next level. With the format I have created, I believe that we can take the journey together. The next step is to organize the many truths about the Almighty into the three categories Paul used in Romans 1:20: His nature, power, and attributes. This study guide has my notes and reflections on one side and a place for you to put your notes and reflections on the other. Before each book of the Bible is presented, there is a section for you to study the background and context of the writing if you so desire. The Bible was written for everyday people to learn about God's person and ways.
