Book excerpt: Growing up in the 40s and 50s spiritual or hands-on healing wasn't discussed within a family, and not much was written about this practice. Because my father had been able to heal I suppose it wasn't alien to me. In fact it seemed quite normal. Alas dear Dad passed to spirit age 26, but I am sure he stayed on this earth long enough to see me on my spiritual journey. What a journey! Losing my Dad at the age of 2 years is painful enough, but to go through experience after experience, well sometimes you have to say to yourself, how many more times do I have to go through this. It is not until you become more enlightened that you begin to realise why all these situations happen. That doesn't make it any easier, but you do feel that at some point in your life 'things' must even themselves out. Of course I now know why I had to experience the pain and the negative; it's to get me where I am now. How could I possibly have empathy and understanding if I hadn't been there and done that? This is what has made me the person I am today, caring and compassionate. I have had the most incredible journey, especially the last 20 years. To be introduced to Archangels, Angels and Ascended Masters, so many 'Higher Beings' of Light. It has been wonderful and amazing. This is my amazing story of sadness and pain but leading to love, joy and a spiritual understanding that is beyond religion but is our natural essence. I sincerely hope this book will give a message of hope to all who are suffering at this present time. I wish you Love, Light and Joy.

Book excerpt: What exactly is enlightenment and how can this state of awareness be achieved without struggle? These are the most important questions that members of the New-Age movement currently face and this is the book which answers them. As the mind-body-spirit consciousness that has emerged from the New-Age movement begins to permeate mainstream awareness, it sends out a plea: that this movement examines, and accepts, the limitations of its present practices. This book is a calling, written to stir the reader from slumber and to invite them ‘home’ in the fastest way possible. It teaches how healing and meditation practices will be made more spiritually expanding - and so more safe and effective - by adopting a ‘consciousness-first’ approach. ,

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Are statements of fact true or only more or less useful? This question is of vital importance, because it cuts to the core of the nature of truth; it leads to decisive choices in modern philosophy. Beneath the concept ́truth ́ serious problems defy and resist philosophic analysis; revealing and resolving them is the early focus of PHILOSOPHY THAT WORKS. The way things are, people mix up what they mean by ́truth ́ and get bound up in fallacies that condemn human knowledge to seeminly pointless relativism. But an adequate understanding of ́truth ́ transforms philosophy and individual undertanding, improves thinking itself, and strengthens education, organizations, and society. Showing how so much progress is possible is the business end of this book, the payoff of its thoughtful investigations into truth and knowledge. PHILOSOPHY THAT WORKS is an intellectual adventure, an impassioned story about navigating philosophy from its backwaters down a great river of advancing civilization. The philosopher, disillusioned with academic philosophies, begins an investigation into the many meanings of truth. He makes a lasting discovery that changes what philosophy itself can achieve and what it can mean. He faces daunting tasks but reconfigures philosophy; confusion concerning truth resolves into clear understanding. Who should join the adventure'. Not only philosophers. This is a book for everyone who likes to think. It has power, narrative conviction, and a soulful center that resonates through its pages. (From the Introduction) "...Albert Einstein once mentioned that humanity cannot solve its vexing problems at the same level of thought that produced the crisis. A higher level of thinking will require a philosophic transformation. That ́s what Philosophy That Works is all about. Despite postmodern skepticism, a simplistic true and false outlook on reality remains the commonplace of a civilization; this is the level that has produced the crisis. This book describes a basic change in the dominant paradigm of the age. It shows that a colossal mistake underlies the commonsense outlook, an error that has prevented consensus about what is real and, therefore, what life can mean: it penetrates the problem to its heart..."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A simple practice to heal your past and cleanse negative memories to live a more peaceful and harmonious life • Details how to apply Ho'oponopono to deal with traumatic past events, destructive thought patterns, family dynamics, daily annoyances, or any other disagreeable event in your life, from traffic jams to relationship break-ups • Draws on the new science of epigenetics and quantum physics to explain how Ho'oponopono works • Explains how the trauma of past events can cloud your perceptions and reveals how to break free from the weight of your memories Based on an ancestral Hawaiian shamanic ritual, the healing practice of Ho'oponopono teaches you to cleanse your consciousness of negative memories, unconscious fears, and dysfunctional programming and grant yourself forgiveness, peace, and love. The process is deceptively simple--first you must recognize your own responsibility for creating the events in your life, then you are ready to apply the mantra of Ho'oponopono: I’m sorry, Forgive me, Thank you, I love you. Repeated several times over a dedicated interval, the negativity is replaced with inner peace, love, and harmony--and, as the stories in this book show, sometimes even miracles take place. In this step-by-step guide, the authors explain how to apply Ho'oponopono to traumatic past events, destructive thought patterns, family dynamics, daily annoyances, or any other disagreeable event in your life, from traffic jams to relationship break-ups. Drawing on quantum physics and epigenetics, they explore how Ho'oponopono works--how thoughts and consciousness can affect the expression of your DNA, the materialization of your goals, and the behavior of those around you. They explain how negative thought patterns and memories unconsciously guide your life and draw more negativity to you, perpetuating the cycle of bad events and clouding your recollection of the past. By apologizing to yourself, your memory, and the event in question, you can forgive yourself, heal your memories, and cleanse your perceptions. By reconciling with yourself, you open your heart to love for your experiences, yourself, and others and bring harmony to your mind, body, and the world around you.

And if it can, what could possibly be the mechanism? In An Antidote to Violence Barry Spivack and Patricia Anne Saunders examine the peer-reviewed research and suggest that TM can influence the collective consciousness of a society which leads to a decrease in negative social trends, such as a decline in war fatalities, and to an increase in cooperation between nations. Weaving together psychology, sociology, philosophy, statistics, politics, physics and meditation, An Antidote to Violence provides evidence that we have the knowledge to reduce all kinds of violence in society.

Book excerpt: Massage, aromatherapy, reflexology and a variety of relaxation techniques are frequently used in hospices, supportive care settings and some hospitals. However, there are still gaps and limitations in the choices offered to patients. HEARTS (Hands-on, Empathy, Aromas, Relaxation, Textures, Sound) was devised to bridge this gap for complementary therapists, patients, carers and health care professionals. HEARTS can be used either on its own, or integrated with a conventional complementary therapy. It can also be used easily by health care workers (and carers) who are not qualified in any therapies. By discussing principles which may influence the effectiveness of touch and relaxation therapies, the book emphasises that there are 'easy' approaches that can be utilised when working with distressed and vulnerable patients. By developing an understanding of touch, aromas and the sound of the human voice, Combining Touch and Relaxation Skills for Cancer Care guides practitioners in helping their patients achieve a state of relaxation and calm as quickly and easily as possible.

In this book there are not just words but through it flows healing and inspiration. It includes channellings, meditations, mini processes and an Archangelic Horoscopes. Some of the ideas may be new and challenging. It is my prayer that it informs, inspires and above all revolutionise the way Healing, Health and The Angelic Kingdom are viewed. Christine Core Angelic Reiki is the pure joy of working hand in hand with the Angelic Kingdom of light. Angels have guided you to this place. They are around you now inviting you to be their servant on earth. Angelic Reiki is the pure joy of working intimately with the Angelic Kingdom of Light. Christine Core presents the birth, growth and purpose of Angelic Reiki with beautiful clarity, proving it to be a unique and sacred gift to humanity. This book is packed full of profound spiritual truths and gives the reader uncompromising insights into our journey on the spiritual path.
