Meanwhile, will the fact that the Coalition has been revealed to the world bring new fears or new friends? There are also answers to existing Fae blood mysteries that start being disclosed and not with the truths that any of them want to hear. Now, they have a new problem to fix along side the war and the continued struggles with an old mindset that belongs nowhere in the world. What else could come up to pull them in yet another direction? The end battle is coming. Will they be ready? Will they have an energy left when it does? Can they pull of putting all levels of the Coalition down at the same time? Who do they find in their hour of need? What does the future of the Fae blood hold - fear or peace?

This book was released on 2003-04-30 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Anatomia is the only medical textbook written in the Hawaiian language. Gerrit P. Judd, for a time the only medical missionary in the Islands, wrote the text in 1838 to teach basic anatomy to Hawaiians enrolled at the Mission Seminary (Lahainaluna School). Working from a standard elementary textbook of the time, Judd provided his students with more than a simple, straight translation. Rather than "Hawaiianize" Latin or English names and terms, he devised new vocabulary and explained medical functions and practices in words that would be readily understood by a Hawaiian. Judd's use of Hawaiian terms and descriptions gives us insights into native cultural and healing practices in the early decades of the nineteenth century. Anatomia is a valuable addition to the growing collection of translations on native health and will be greatly appreciated by linguists, historians, and students of Hawaiian language and culture.

Book excerpt: Armed with a keen eye and a terrible singing voice, writer Brian Raftery sets out across the globe, tracing karaoke's evolution from cult fad to multi-million dollar phenomenon. In Japan, he meets Daisuke Inoue, the godfather of karaoke; in Thailand, he follows a group of Americans hoping to win the Karaoke World Championships; and in New York City, he hangs out backstage with the world's longest-running heavy-metal karaoke band. Along the way, Raftery chronicles his own time as an obsessive karaoke fan, recalling a life's worth of noisy relationships and poor song choices, and analyzing the karaoke-bar merits of such artists as Prince, Bob Dylan and Fugazi. Part cultural history, part memoir, Don't Stop Believin': How Karaoke Conquered the World and Changed My Life is a hilarious and densely reported look at the liberating effects of a good sing-along.

Book excerpt: Crystal Gale, a 20-year-old native Hawaiian aircraft-pilot graduate landed her first employment with King’s Airways, a Hawaiian sightseeing firm for tourists. On Crystal’s first month of employment, she met an air traffic controller, Tyler Mason and for the first time fell in love. Unknown to Crystal and her family, an underground FBI drug sting operation was in motion through the Hawaiian Islands. Two months later, Crystal was kidnapped. Her family was threatened and told some of her flights would occasionally be drug related. She was to see nothing, hear nothing, and report nothing, or death would follow. Trapped, Crystal figured the only way out was to trap the trappers. She suddenly discovering her love, Tyler Mason, was a drug-cartel member in disguise, or was he? Her heart and lips, questioned it. Thus, entanglements become stranger than fiction.
