Samuel M. Hamill, D.D., in the chair, assisted by the Vice-Presidents, the Hon. John T. Nixon, the Hon. John Clement, and Dr. Samuel H.Pennington. The minutes of the meeting held at Newark, May 21, 1885, were read by the Recording Secretary, Mr. William Nelson, and approved. The Rev. Dr. Georges. Mott stated that several gentlemen were present, who were members of local historical societies in different parts of the State. He moved that they be invited to take seats and participate in the proceedings of the Society; which was agreed to.
