Book excerpt: Cette étude fait suite au travail de Landrin (2018) qui a créé, sans pouvoir l'appliquer, un protocole de prévention de la dysphagie radio-induite, comprenant de la guidance et de l'éducation du patient ainsi que des exercices praxiques et sensitifs quotidiens. Cette consultation de prévention a été appliquée par une orthophoniste et une question a émergé : comment préciser, observer et évaluer la consultation ? Ainsi, la temporalité et séquentialité de celle-ci a été formalisée et les exercices ont été classés au regard des fonctions travaillés. Par la suite, la consultation a été observée avec trois patients en libéral et des données ont été recueillies. Enfin, en se basant sur l'EBP, une question clinique a été formulée et une grille d'évaluation de la consultation a été élaborée en se basant sur des données cliniques et de la littérature. L'observation de la consultation a démontré sa pertinence. Elle a apporté aux patients un mieux-être physique et/ou psychique ainsi qu'une une amélioration de leur qualité de vie en leur permettant d'être mieux informés sur leurs troubles. Cependant, cette consultation de prévention doit être réadaptée dans le fond et dans la forme pour mieux convenir aux besoins de ce type de patient. Enfin, la grille d'évaluation de la consultation créée s'est révélée pertinente. Ce travail pourrait être continué afin d'évaluer la consultation à l'aide de cette grille.
