Ahlheim 2013: 7f.). Was bei Ahlheim banal wirkt, beinhaltet allerdings implizite Annahmen, die keineswegs unkritisch zu bewerten sind und wesentliche Fragen politischer Bildung berühren: Ist politische Bildung von ihrem Selbstverständnis her tatsächlich „gegen rechts“ oder besser gegen Rechtsextremismus gerichtet, so wie Ahlheim annimmt? Oder steht ein solches Verständnis politischer Bildung nicht vielmehr im Widerspruch zur verfassungsmäßigen Meinungsfreiheit des Einzelnen? Wie ist die Rolle des Grundgesetzes in dem Kontext zu beurteilen? Auf den Politikunterricht konzentriert ist danach zu fragen, ob die seit dem Beutelsbacher Konsens anerkannten Grundsätze des Indoktrinationsverbotes und des Kontroversitätsgebotes auch im Umgang mit rechtsextremistischen Positionen uneingeschränkt gültig sind. Dieses angerissene Spannungsfeld und die Suche nach einer fundierten Position hierzu werden den ersten Schwerpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit ausmachen. In der Öffentlichkeit zumindest wurde die Frage immer eindeutig beantwortet, schließlich wurde bei Ereignissen mit rechtsextremen Hintergrund stetig der Ruf nach der Pädagogik und insbesondere der politischen Bildung laut, um entsprechend Prävention zu betreiben und Gegenstrategien zu entwickeln. Dies musste jedoch notwendigerweise in einer Überforderung der politischen Bildung bzw. der Pädagogik und einer Fehleinschätzung des Wirkungsradius münden (vgl. u. a. Elverich 2008: 14f., Möller 1996: 159f.). [...] Der überwiegenden Enttäuschung über die oberflächlich wahrnehmbare Begrenztheit der Wirkung politischer Bildung im Kontext hat dies jedoch keinen Abbruch getan. Man könnte also meinen, dass der Beitrag politischer Bildung zur Prävention und Begegnung von Rechtsextremismus und rechtsextremen Einstellungen als gering und ineffizient zu beurteilen sei und somit eher nebensächlich erscheint. Der zweite Schwerpunkt der vorliegenden Arbeit soll es dagegen sein, diese These zu entkräften und den Beweis zu erbringen, dass politische Bildung aus triftigen Gründen – mit Vorgriff auf die Beantwortung des ersten Schwerpunktes – sogar einen wesentlichen Beitrag erbringen kann, sollte und sogar muss, ohne die systemischen Grenzen dabei zu übersehen.

The German media are increasingly reporting on the phenomenon of excessive use of force. The question arises as to how this escalation of violence came about. It is questionable whether a certain position of power influences behavior in the interactive use of violence between citizens and the police. First of all, the police monopoly on the use of force must be defined in more detail. The concept of violence is then explained in the broadest sense and linked to the concept of proportionality. The concrete use of force in the form of direct coercion is determined in connection with this. The question of the causes of police violence is subdivided into various theoretical approaches. It should be noted that the term police violence always means the disproportionate use of force. On this topic, the emergence of police structures is discussed first. The temporal component of this history of origins then leads to the concept of subculture among police officers. The term "cop culture" in particular is explained in more detail. When researching the causes of police violence, one comes across two theories. One is the “Authority Maintenance Theory” and the other is the so-called “Control Balance Theory”. The core statements of these theories are presented and brought into a police context. As the story progresses, the question arises as to the consequences of the escalation of violence. The criminal offense of bodily harm in office according to § 340 of the Criminal Code is discussed in more detail. If there are indications of the existence of this criminal offense, an investigation is initiated. With regard to the procedure, problems in the conduct of this investigation must be explained. Finally, a summary conclusion is drawn.

Book excerpt: Because of the high number of involuntary migrants who arrived in Germany over the past years, displaced people may at least partly counteract the economic consequences of the demographic change in Germany. Yet, particularly displaced women are comparatively seldom employed in Germany. The purpose of this thesis therefore is to identify factors that impede the inclusion of displaced women into the German labour market and examine their respective importance. The employment of these women has, amongst others, positive effects on their social integration, the federal budget and the German economy. In this thesis, a theoretical analysis of relevant literature concerning the topics migration, gender equality, employment and impediments for labour market integration of displaced women is given. Afterwards, two surveys are presented. The first survey is a quantitative one analysing the data of 42 displaced women. The second one is qualitative, gathering information from five experts. Main impediments for integration of displaced women into the labour market are the lack of professional experience and education, particularly poor German skills. Other major difficulties are traditional role distribution and bias by employers, especially against women wearing headscarves. The results provide a basis for the creation or alteration of support offers that facilitate labour market participation for displaced women.
