Manuscript entries in Native American languages for each detail are written in next to the name of the weaver who was consulted. Each card is numbered in sequence with some subgroup series but it is unclear what the numbering schema represents. Most of the Native American basket weaver consultants listed were from the Pomo tribe and include prominent California Indian basket weavers such as Joseppa Dick, Liza Coons, Mollie Bucknell, Topsy, and Lydia Thompson.
