Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was born in St. Louis, MO. and presently reside. Writing has always been my passion, at an early age and dancing is another.I am a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I was once married and divorced after twenty-one years. I learned a lot of “I told you so” during this period. This, as well as my childhood, gave me the idea to write a book.As a child, I always experienced things that were uncommon to the natural child. When I wasthree months old, I could relate to conversation but could not speak my thoughts in words understandable. Here is an example: when I was three months old, my aunt used to takecare of me during the hours my mom attended nursing school. Every morning my aunt would come and take me out of my crib and take me upstairs to her house and prop me upon her couch; stacking pillows around me, putting her finger in my face and saying, “Now don'tyou fall.” I would look at her and think to myself, “She thinks I'm a fool, if she thinks I'm going to fall on that hard floor.”Another time in my life is when my bed was in the room with my parents. As I was able to pullmyself upon the rail, I would wake-up early and noticed them sleeping, so peacefully. I wouldfind my bottle, aim it and throw it, hitting them in the head. The next morning I woke-up by myself in another room and all I could see was walls.I learned mistakes are costly at an early age.

Book excerpt: Around the world, people are questioning consumerism, leaning toward more sustainable lifestyles and creating a whole new concept of wealth. Until a few hundred years ago, people were embarrassed to buy bread in a store. Families took pride in making almost everything they owned. These days, many people take pride in buying as much as possible! New clothes, a speedier bicycle, the latest phone. If we've got money, someone can sell us a product that will supposedly make our lives better. But each year, humanity uses resources equivalent to nearly one and a half Earths, and we're still not meeting everyone's needs. What if you could meet all your needs while getting to know your neighbors and protecting the environment at the same time? Find out how growing a tiny cabbage can fight poverty, how a few dollars can help ten families start their own businesses and how running errands for a neighbor can help you learn to become a bike mechanic—for free!

Book excerpt: Set yourself up for life as early as possible, and enjoy life on your terms By layering philosophy with practical knowledge, Set for Life gives young professionals the fiscal confidence they need to conquer financial goals early in life. Are you tied to a nine-to-five workweek? Would you like to "retire" from wage-paying work within ten years? Are you in your 20s or 30s and would like to be financially free―the sort of free that ensures you spend the best part of your day and week, and the best years of your life, doing what you want? Building wealth is always possible, even while working full-time, earning a median income, and making up for a negative net worth. Accumulating a lifetime of wealth in a short period of time involves working harder and smarter than the average person, and Scott Trench--investor, entrepreneur, and CEO of BiggerPockets.com--demonstrates how to do just that. Even starting with zero savings, he demonstrates how to work your way to five figures, then to six figures, and finally to the ultimate goal of financial freedom. Wealth isn't just about a nest egg, setting aside money for a "rainy day" or accumulating an emergency fund. True wealth is about building out a Financial Runway―creating enough readily accessible wealth that you can survive without work for a year. Then five years. Then for life. Readers will learn how to: Save more income--50+ percent of it, while still having fun Double or triple your income in three to five years Track your financial progress in order to achieve the greatest results Build frugal and efficient habits to make the most of your lifestyle Secure "real" assets and avoid "false" ones that destroy wealth
