This book was released on 2005-03 with total page 324 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Will there be peace? Will there be war? Find out with Mundane Astrology. Here, in one volume, are three classic books on the astrology of nations and states, by H.S. Green, Raphael, and C.E.O. Carter: H.S. Green organizes his book planet-by- planet. He tells what each planet will do in the 12 houses. Raphael organizes the topic by house. He tells how mundane houses work when planets are in them. In addition, both authors deal with solar and lunar eclipses, and earthquakes. Green shows the effects of eclipses in the houses, while Raphael describes them by decanate (100 sections of the zodiac). Both mention the effects of comets, although little about these mysterious bodies is known astrologically. Charles Carter, writing after WWII, discusses why astrologers failed to predict the war and what that means for mundane astrology. His plea for better data has largely been met, but the need for more study remains. All three authors give astrological rulerships for countries and cities. These are centuries old and are weighted to England and Europe. Carter's rulers are the most up-to-date. These are the essential texts for serious study of mundane astrology. About the Authors H.S. Green was an astrologer associated with Alan Leo's astrological revival back in the first decade of the 20th century. His various books are highly regarded (all but this one out of print, sadly), but biographical details are sketchy. Raphael was the pen-name of one Robert Cross, 1850-1923. He was the sixth in a series of astrological writers who used the name "Raphael" & remains the best known of them all. He wrote books on virtually all astrological topics. His book on mundane astrology dates from 1910. Charles E.O. Carter, 1887-1968, was one of the outstanding British astrologers of the 20th century. He succeeded Alan Leo as head of the Astrological Lodge of the Theosophical Society, a post he held from 1920 to 1952. He was editor of Astrology, The Astrologer's Quarterly, from 1926 to 1959. Carter's persistent genius reestablished astrology as a serious discipline in England, after two centuries of decline. He wrote his book on Mundane Astrology in reaction to the failure of astrologers to forecast WWII. In 1939, astrologers in London knew there was a full-scale war on in China, they knew the situation with Germany was tense, but they had studied the charts for the year, they knew the fuss would blow over. And they were wrong. Carter set out to discover why, his book was the result.

Book excerpt: Take a step forward into a new universe of astrological interpretation, when you shift focus from Earth-centered charts to Sun-focused interpretations, in The Sun at the Center by Philip Sedgwick. The paths of astrology and astronomy diverged during the Renaissance and the Age of Reason as more facts and data became available. People relied less on intuition and more on the powers of observations enhanced with more powerful telescopes. Curiously, astrology began—who knows how many millennia ago—as a strictly observational art. When people could observe more, they said that the Sun, not the Earth, was at the center of the solar system. Old astrology didn't suddenly stop working with the advent of heliocentric awareness. Because we live on the Earth, geocentric astrology makes sense—no scientific advancement can nullify it. But, if we can create a system where the planets and signs are seen in relation to the Earth, we can do the same with the Sun. The question is, how do we come up with astrology from a Sun-centered perspective? The Sun at the Center answers that question. ·Learn how discover the heliocentric positions of the planets ·Ideal for use in mundane astrology and analysis of spontaneous mass behavior ·Adds new information to geocentric astrological interpretations ·Provides a new way for looking at individuals ·Discover how solar activity influences revolutionary actions The Sun at the Center is a complete primer of heliocentric astrology. It can be used by itself, giving new insights, or in combination with geocentric astrology to enhance and expand upon what you already know. The Sun at the Center takes astrology in a new direction and back to its origins. Join this journey when you get The Sun at the Center.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aspects are the mathematical relationships between planets in an individual's astrological chart. They are key factors in the study of astrology, for it is the interpretation of the relationship of one planet to another that explains human behavior. If we think of each planet as representing a quality of energy or a voice within, then two planets relating to each other would describe a conversation; all ten considered together could be likened to a committee meeting. The relationships of all those planets to each other characterizes the effectiveness of that group meeting or the quality of dialogue going on within us. Some people have simple and harmonious inner dialogues, while other people have a riot going on inside. Astrological Aspects allows readers to make sense of the riot, and through examples of aspects in the charts of well-known people, shows us how different individuals manage, or mismanage, both conflicting and complementary energies-and by extension, how we can do the same.

Book excerpt: Integrating astrology, mythology and spirituality, this book is a reflection on the themes of the astrological ages across the past 13,000 years and is an exploration of what astrology has to tell us about the meaning of the changes happening globally and culturally in this time. We are currently on the cusp of the Age of Aquarius, at the end of a 26,000 year precessional cycle and, according to ancient prophecies, at the close of a world era. With the recent discovery of the planetoids Sedna and Eris, new forms of consciousness are entering our awareness. Through listening to the messages of the stars and planets, we find guidance for our lives in this intense time of change. We live in a sentient universe, which is calling us back into relationship with the cosmos and with the Earth. In remembering our source (the galactic center), reconnecting with the spirit in all of life and in becoming centered within ourselves, we gain meaning and wisdom for who we are and who we are becoming and find a path for the healing and evolution of ourselves and our Earth.

In this volume, planetary placements in each of the 12 zodiacal houses are interpreted using the psycho-transformative depth astrology approach. "Planets" include the 10 traditional astrological planets, the Moon's Nodes and the Part of Fortune. Each interpretation contains: an explanation of the essential meaning and potential manifestations of the planet in its house placement, the transcendent potential of the planetary placement, manifestations of the planetary placement from a place of insecurity, and the focus of each of the primary psychological functions symbolized by the planet. Depth Astrology - Planets in Houses is a valuable tool for the novice just entering the field of depth astrology, for the astrological professional desiring a look-up of planetary interpretations that provide guidance to the unfolding potentialities of planetary placements, or for anyone seeking to use the astrological symbol-set as a tool for self-discovery and growth. Novices are encouraged to purchase Volume 1 - Introduction. Depth Astrology has been reviewed in The Mountain Astrologer, Dec/Jan 2018 issue.
