Book excerpt: From the New York Times bestselling author of Infinite Possibilities and Life on Earth Playing the Matrix is a master class for creating the life you want to live. Tried and true, delivered and perfected over a decade while being shared live with tens of thousands of students in 132 cities, in 34 countries, upon 6 continents. This is Mike Dooley’s advanced course on living deliberately and creating consciously. The concepts he shares were born of material he’s delivered to live audiences the world over, culminating in his most impactful, most transformational program ever. Now, for the first time in 17 years of touring, these ideas are to be shared in book form. At the heart of the Matrix lies a simple yet highly unexpected concept for creating major life change that’s unlike anything shared by other teachers, past and present. It clearly reveals why “manifesting” sometimes works with incredible ease, why it sometimes doesn’t work at all, and why, on occasion, it works, and yet in hindsight we wish it hadn’t. Readers will not only learn about the “Bermuda Triangle of Manifesting” that too often leads to heartbreak and loss, they’ll learn how to navigate around it, under full sail, with their own new “a-ha” moments that will teach them: • How to achieve clarity in purpose and desire and thereby avoid contradictions and self-sabotage • How to fuel their dreams with passion while not attaching to unimportant details and outcomes • How to plan and take action on their dreams without “messing with the cursed how’s”! And so much more...

Book Synopsis Multidimensional Analysis by : George W. Hart
Download or read book Multidimensional Analysis written by George W. Hart and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book deals with the mathematical properties of dimensioned quantities, such as length, mass, voltage, and viscosity. Beginning with a careful examination of how one expresses the numerical results of a measurement and uses these results in subsequent manipulations, the author rigorously constructs the notion of dimensioned numbers and discusses their algebraic structure. The result is a unification of linear algebra and traditional dimensional analysis that can be extended from the scalars to which the traditional analysis is perforce restricted to multidimensional vectors of the sort frequently encountered in engineering, systems theory, economics, and other applications.
Book Synopsis Basics of Matrix Algebra for Statistics with R by : Nick Fieller
Download or read book Basics of Matrix Algebra for Statistics with R written by Nick Fieller and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2018-09-03 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Thorough Guide to Elementary Matrix Algebra and Implementation in R Basics of Matrix Algebra for Statistics with R provides a guide to elementary matrix algebra sufficient for undertaking specialized courses, such as multivariate data analysis and linear models. It also covers advanced topics, such as generalized inverses of singular and rectangular matrices and manipulation of partitioned matrices, for those who want to delve deeper into the subject. The book introduces the definition of a matrix and the basic rules of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and inversion. Later topics include determinants, calculation of eigenvectors and eigenvalues, and differentiation of linear and quadratic forms with respect to vectors. The text explores how these concepts arise in statistical techniques, including principal component analysis, canonical correlation analysis, and linear modeling. In addition to the algebraic manipulation of matrices, the book presents numerical examples that illustrate how to perform calculations by hand and using R. Many theoretical and numerical exercises of varying levels of difficulty aid readers in assessing their knowledge of the material. Outline solutions at the back of the book enable readers to verify the techniques required and obtain numerical answers. Avoiding vector spaces and other advanced mathematics, this book shows how to manipulate matrices and perform numerical calculations in R. It prepares readers for higher-level and specialized studies in statistics.

Book Synopsis Matrix Algorithms by : G. W. Stewart
Download or read book Matrix Algorithms written by G. W. Stewart and published by SIAM. This book was released on 1998-08-01 with total page 476 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is the first in a self-contained five-volume series devoted to matrix algorithms. It focuses on the computation of matrix decompositions--that is, the factorization of matrices into products of similar ones. The first two chapters provide the required background from mathematics and computer science needed to work effectively in matrix computations. The remaining chapters are devoted to the LU and QR decompositions--their computation and applications. The singular value decomposition is also treated, although algorithms for its computation will appear in the second volume of the series. The present volume contains 65 algorithms formally presented in pseudocode. Other volumes in the series will treat eigensystems, iterative methods, sparse matrices, and structured problems. The series is aimed at the nonspecialist who needs more than black-box proficiency with matrix computations. To give the series focus, the emphasis is on algorithms, their derivation, and their analysis. The reader is assumed to have a knowledge of elementary analysis and linear algebra and a reasonable amount of programming experience, typically that of the beginning graduate engineer or the undergraduate in an honors program. Strictly speaking, the individual volumes are not textbooks, although they are intended to teach, the guiding principle being that if something is worth explaining, it is worth explaining fully. This has necessarily restricted the scope of the series, but the selection of topics should give the reader a sound basis for further study.

Book Synopsis Escaping the Matrix by : Gregory A. Boyd
Download or read book Escaping the Matrix written by Gregory A. Boyd and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2005-04-01 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In some way or another most of us are "stuck"-in a secret sin we can't control or maybe by an inability to stand up for ourselves. In Escaping the Matrix, authors Gregory A. Boyd and Al Larson use the vehicle of The Matrix film trilogy to argue that our struggles with habitual sin, thought patterns, damaged emotions, and phobias happen because we do not know how to take charge of the way we experience reality. The authors draw on biblical and psychological insights to provide practical resources for helping believers escape the matrix of the world system that ensnares them. While this book is aimed at the newest generation of Christian readers, all ages will be inspired by the book's innovative strategies for experiencing a deeper life in Christ.
Book Synopsis Linear Algebra and Matrix Analysis for Statistics by : Sudipto Banerjee
Download or read book Linear Algebra and Matrix Analysis for Statistics written by Sudipto Banerjee and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2014-06-06 with total page 586 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Linear Algebra and Matrix Analysis for Statistics offers a gradual exposition to linear algebra without sacrificing the rigor of the subject. It presents both the vector space approach and the canonical forms in matrix theory. The book is as self-contained as possible, assuming no prior knowledge of linear algebra. The authors first address the rudimentary mechanics of linear systems using Gaussian elimination and the resulting decompositions. They introduce Euclidean vector spaces using less abstract concepts and make connections to systems of linear equations wherever possible. After illustrating the importance of the rank of a matrix, they discuss complementary subspaces, oblique projectors, orthogonality, orthogonal projections and projectors, and orthogonal reduction. The text then shows how the theoretical concepts developed are handy in analyzing solutions for linear systems. The authors also explain how determinants are useful for characterizing and deriving properties concerning matrices and linear systems. They then cover eigenvalues, eigenvectors, singular value decomposition, Jordan decomposition (including a proof), quadratic forms, and Kronecker and Hadamard products. The book concludes with accessible treatments of advanced topics, such as linear iterative systems, convergence of matrices, more general vector spaces, linear transformations, and Hilbert spaces.
