Download or read book Sensitivity Analysis of Large System of Chemical Kinetic Parameters for Engine Combustion Simulation written by and published by . This book was released on 2012 with total page 17 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this study, the authors applied the state-of-the art sensitivity methods to downselect system parameters from 4000+ to 8, (23000+ -> 4000+ -> 84 -> 8). This analysis procedure paves the way for future works: (1) calibrate the system response using existed experimental observations, and (2) predict future experiment results, using the calibrated system.
Book Synopsis Effects of Gas Turbine Component Performance on Engine and Rotary Wing Vehicle Size and Performance by : Nasa Technical Reports Server (Ntrs)
Download or read book Effects of Gas Turbine Component Performance on Engine and Rotary Wing Vehicle Size and Performance written by Nasa Technical Reports Server (Ntrs) and published by BiblioGov. This book was released on 2013-07 with total page 22 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In support of the Fundamental Aeronautics Program, Subsonic Rotary Wing Project, further gas turbine engine studies have been performed to quantify the effects of advanced gas turbine technologies on engine weight and fuel efficiency and the subsequent effects on a civilian rotary wing vehicle size and mission fuel. The Large Civil Tiltrotor (LCTR) vehicle and mission and a previous gas turbine engine study will be discussed as a starting point for this effort. Methodology used to assess effects of different compressor and turbine component performance on engine size, weight and fuel efficiency will be presented. A process to relate engine performance to overall LCTR vehicle size and fuel use will also be given. Technology assumptions and levels of performance used in this analysis for the compressor and turbine components performances will be discussed. Optimum cycles (in terms of power specific fuel consumption) will be determined with subsequent engine weight analysis. The combination of engine weight and specific fuel consumption will be used to estimate their effect on the overall LCTR vehicle size and mission fuel usage. All results will be summarized to help suggest which component performance areas have the most effect on the overall mission.
Book Synopsis Gas Turbine Engine Performance Presentation for Computer Programs by : S-15 Gas Turbine Perf Simulation Nomenclature and Interfaces
Download or read book Gas Turbine Engine Performance Presentation for Computer Programs written by S-15 Gas Turbine Perf Simulation Nomenclature and Interfaces and published by . This book was released on 2016 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) provides the method for presentation of gas turbine engine steady-state and transient performance calculated using computer programs. It also provides for the presentation of parametric gas turbine data including performance, weight, and dimensions computed by computer programs. This standard is intended to facilitate calculations by the program user without unduly restricting the method of calculation used by the program supplier. This standard is applicable to, but not limited to the following program types: data reduction, steady-state, transient, preliminary design, study, specification, status, and parametric programs. This document has been revised to align with the creation of and/or updates to standard documents AS6502, AS755, AS4191, and AS210. Also, supplier/customer model delivery points of discussion were added to improve the efficiency of model delivery. An S-15 document family tree was added to illustrate the relationships of the documents referenced within this document. In addition, other minor changes were also made for clarification purposes.

Book Synopsis Predictive Bias and Sensitivity in NRC Fuel Performance Codes by :
Download or read book Predictive Bias and Sensitivity in NRC Fuel Performance Codes written by and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The latest versions of the fuel performance codes, FRAPCON-3 and FRAPTRAN were examined to determine if the codes are intrinsically conservative. Each individual model and type of code prediction was examined and compared to the data that was used to develop the model. In addition, a brief literature search was performed to determine if more recent data have become available since the original model development for model comparison.
