Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “You have a call, Elder Wilder.” When missionary Micah Wilder set his sights on bringing a Baptist congregation into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he had no idea that he was the one about to be changed. Yet when he finally came to know the God of the Bible, Micah had no choice but to surrender himself—no matter the consequences. For a passionate young Mormon who had grown up in the Church, finding authentic faith meant giving up all he knew: his community, his ambitions, and his place in the world. Yet as Micah struggled to reconcile the teachings of his Church with the truths revealed in the Bible, he awakened to his need for God’s grace. This led him to be summoned to the door of the mission president, terrified but confident in the testimony he knew could cost him everything. Passport to Heaven is a gripping account of Micah’s surprising journey from living as a devoted member of a religion based on human works to embracing the divine mercy and freedom that can only be found in Jesus Christ.

But we transgressed and become unfit to serve Him. Although our sins are red as crimson, it still can become white as snow. God expects a complete surrender of our lives to Him, by refraining from our misdeeds and follow the footsteps of His son Jesus Christ, who shed His blood and died for us in the cross. God did not just create us for nothing but had adopted us His children, as the Bible says: “The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share His sufferings in order that we may also share His glory.” Romans 8:16-17. The Bible further says; “He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son.” Revelation 21:7; and He said, “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” Matthew 18:3-5.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God's Grand Design By: William R. Arnold, Edited by Ms. Aurora Payad-Arnold God’s Grand Design is to restore mankind to its original state of sacred perfection after Adam and Eve fell and created the original sin of disobedience, hiding, and lying to the Lord. When God cursed the serpent for tempting Adam and Eve to be like God, he promised to send his only begotten Son to save humanity. He did via the incarnate word in the womb of the immaculately conceived Virgin Mary. God wants to be man and receive a new body to defeat death through Jesus Christ. Man wants to become God to receive eternal life. Man’s journey to become God starts from being an ignorant baby gaining knowledge, to a cowardly teenager obtaining courage, to an adult converting greed to generosity, to a wise man changing selfishness to unselfishness, and at last, to a free man able to think for himself in eternal service to God in his kingdom. The journey requires him to know right from wrong, good from evil, and God’s will from man’s will and thus defeat evil, worldly temptations, and demonic possession. Through Christ, God and man are destined to become one through three advents, making the God/Man Christ into the new human spirit (blessings). Then, the Man/God Jesus becomes the new human flesh to make all things perfect in the sight of God. Jesus Christ came as a priest on a donkey to decode the Torah, bring knowledge, and remove blindness to defeat sin. By his death and resurrection, he granted free redemption to man’s flesh to give him a new body. The second coming of Jesus Christ as thief in the night will bring awakening to remove deafness by teaching God’s truths to defeat evil. As a just judge on a cloud on his third advent, the Lord will remove mankind’s dumbness to defeat death. And then man can become worthy of receiving God’s rewards of paradise in heaven or heaven on earth.

His second book, Disciple. Beyond Mediocrity, is with the publisher and is soon to be released. The Leaders completes the trilogy. In the first part of his book Brian draws extensively on the scriptures to describe the qualities of leadership needed in the lead up to the LordaEUR(tm)s return. He deals with what it means for the leader to follow the Lord, his or her relationship with the Spirit, and the importance of listening for the SpiritaEUR(tm)s voice. He then carefully explores the leaderaEUR(tm)s trust and love for the Lord and the need to turn his or her back on the worldaEUR(tm)s distracting enticements. In the second part Brian turns his attention to the work of leaders as shepherds, drawing on the LordaEUR(tm)s own teaching about Himself as the Good Shepherd. He explores the LordaEUR(tm)s pattern for knowing each of His sheep, feeding them, leading them, protecting them from different kinds of danger, and restoring those who have become lost. The third part of The Leaders is devoted to the work of the leader as teacher of the LordaEUR(tm)s people. Brian examines the principles underpinning the work of a teacher and then explores the teacheraEUR(tm)s authority, resources, cooperative relationship with the Spirit, and the nature of students in the LordaEUR(tm)s classroom. The meaning of the gospel is Biblically explained, and the whole counsel of God is described as the inspired resource for the ministry of the leader as teacher. Brian Byrne breaks new ground in The Leaders and creates a comprehensive resource that should be on the desk of all who are called to lead. This book could also be a valuable reference for those who train leaders as shepherds and teachers for our churches.

This book was released on 2000 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The prophet Brigham Young taught the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in a basic, practical way that gave inspiration and hope to the Saints struggling to build a home in the wilderness. Though more than a century has now passed, his words are still fresh and appropriate for us today as we continue the work of building the kingdom of God. President Young declared that as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints we possess the “doctrine of life and salvation for all the honest-in-heart” (DBY, 7). He promised that those who receive the gospel in their hearts will have awakened “within them a desire to know and understand the things of God more than they ever did before in their lives” and will begin to “inquire, read and search and when they go to their Father in the name of Jesus he will not leave them without a witness” (DBY, 450). This book reflects the desire of the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles to deepen the doctrinal understanding of Church members and to awaken within them a greater desire to know the things of God. It will inspire and motivate individuals, priesthood quorums, and Relief Society classes to inquire, read, search, and then go to their Father in Heaven for a witness of the truth of these teachings. Each chapter contains two sections—“Teachings of Brigham Young” and “Suggestions for Study.” The first section consists of extracts from Brigham Young’s sermons to the early Saints. Each statement has been referenced, and the original spelling and punctuation have been preserved; however, the sources cited will not be readily available to most members. These original sources are not necessary to have in order to effectively study or teach from this book. Members need not purchase additional references and commentaries to study or teach these chapters. The text provided in this book, accompanied by the scriptures, is sufficient for instruction. Members should prayerfully read and study President Young’s teachings in order to gain new insights into gospel principles and discover how those principles apply to their everyday lives. By faithfully and prayerfully studying these selections, Latter-day Saints will have a greater understanding of gospel principles and will more fully appreciate the profound and inspired teachings of this great prophet. The second section of each chapter offers a series of questions that will encourage thoughtful contemplation, personal application, and discussion of President Young’s teachings. Members should refer to and carefully reread his words on the principle being discussed. Deep and prayerful study of these teachings will inspire members to greater personal commitment and will help them resolve to follow the teachings of the Savior, Jesus Christ. If individuals and families prayerfully follow the principles in this book, they will be blessed and inspired to greater dedication and spirituality, as were the early Saints who heard these words directly from the lips of the “Lion of the Lord” (HC, 7:434)—the prophet, seer, and revelator, President Brigham Young.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most of the world's religious faiths and spiritual philosophies teach about "heaven" - a place where people that have been "good" in their previous lives on earth will go to experience eternal bliss after their physical death. "Hell" is seen as the opposite of heaven. It is generally depicted as a place of eternal torment and misery, where "bad" people are doomed to after death. Compared to "heaven," "hell" is a most undesirable place or state to be. Hence, a lot of people want to "make," enter or experience heaven. But a lot of people are not convinced about the reality concepts of "heaven" and "hell." In this book titled "Love Is The Only Passport To Heaven" by Charles Ojochide Vincent (Chaojovin), you will learn about "heaven" - what and where it really is, how it really is, who really "goes" there and why, and what really goes on there. You will also learn about "hell" - what and where it really is, how it really is, who really "goes" there and why, how long one does stay there, etc. This book also teaches that you must not necessarily be or profess to be a Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu, or a member of any of the world's organized religious bodies before you are qualified to "go to," enter or experience the state of "heaven." Whether or not you profess to be a theist, an atheist or an agnostic; whether or not you profess to be a "Christian," a "Muslim," a "Hindu," a "pagan," and what have you - regardless of your worldview or creed, if you live your life and relate with your fellow beings in the frequency of Universal Christ (Love) Consciousness, you are qualified by the Immutable Universal Laws of GOD Almighty to "go to," enter or experience the consciousness-state of "heaven" both here and now and in the hereafter. But if you profess to be a theist, an atheist or an agnostic; if you profess to be a "Christian," a "Muslim," a "Hindu," a "pagan," and what have you - regardless of your worldview or creed, if you live against the Universal Law of Love, if you live your life hating and hurting others for whatever reason, you will verily "go to," enter or experience the consciousness-state of "hell" both here and now and in the hereafter. This book will show you how living in Love with yourself and with your fellow beings is the only "good" and ultimate form of "righteousness" and will also lead you to the supreme realization that Love is, indeed, the only valid and acceptable "passport" to "heaven."

In the no-man’s land between the two, this curious outside wondered about the God they worshipped—and began a lifelong search to comprehend the grace and mystery of God. A Stranger in the House of God addresses fundamental questions and struggles faced by spiritual seekers and mature believers. Like a contemporary Pilgrim’s Progress, it traces the author’s journey and explores his experiences with both charismatic and evangelical Christianity. It also describes his transformation from religious outsider to ordained pastor. John Koessler provides a poignant and often humorous window into the interior of the soul as he describes his journey from doubt and struggle with the church to personal faith

Book excerpt: Is there beef kabob in Heaven? How about Basketball? What will we look like in Heaven? And who is in Heaven anyway? Should we desire to be in Heaven and how do we get there? What does it mean to be in front of the judgement seat? What will the final years on earth look like? During those final years, is Heaven a better place to be than earth? Explore these ideas and other Biblical truths, along with three computer scientists, as they attempt to make sense out of Life, Death, Creation, Evolution, Rapture, Tribulation, Millennium, Judgement and Heaven. In this book, Geeves uses humor and biblical truth (in reverse order) to explain the end of the world (specifically the book of Revelation) and the start of the heaven. Geeves is a graduate from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology. He works as a Vice President at a Software technology company. With his background in science and experience in working with highly analytical teams, Geeves found that scientific explanations, while fine in themselves, lacked depth and human meaning. In his attempts to better understand life, Geeves stumbled across religion and then Jesus. Thanks to his mentors, Bill and Paul, Geeves learnt about living a meaningful life that spans eternity. This book will take you on a journey of discovery to appreciate the beauty and the mystery of heaven.

Book excerpt: The Pilgrimage to Heaven: How to Have Eternal Life and Enter Heaven focuses attention on two contrasting paths people may take through their lives: the way of indulging personal desires and the way of following Jesus Christ. Author John C. T. Kim provides honest and unsparing glimpses of his journey into the hell of his own creation and the rescue he received through the promise of new life through the gospel of Jesus Christ. His story invites greater appreciation of travails such journeys entail, while providing authentication for the witness he makes to the work of the Lord. Four main sections share personal stories and Christian witness under the headings of The Way of Man, The Life in the World, The Way of God, and The Life in Christ Jesus. Explanations of key biblical terms, explorations of current cultural practices, and consideration of the Bibles message combine to draw out the spiritual challenges of sinful living and to lift up the spiritual blessings of righteousness. If you have found yourself wondering how you fell into captivity to the forces of evil, how you slid into poverty of spirit, and how you wandered into a wilderness of doubt, The Pilgrimage to Heaven offers straightforward and informed guidance for turning your life around, taking a step off of the road gone wrong, and making your pilgrimage toward heaven as a committed disciple of Jesus Christ.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Lord's Prayer has nurtured Christians throughout the ages. Yet today it is often well known--but little understood frequently repeated--but seldom contemplated much loved as Jesus's model prayer--but attacked by some for naming God "Father." Martin Luther said, "To this day I am still nursing myself on the Lord's Prayer like a child and am still eating and drinking of it like an old man without getting bored with it." The Lord's Prayer can still offer such nourishment.
